Off to the Races?

So often we think, "I don't want to run. Ugh...it's too hot outside!"
I want to encourage you guys to take up running for your workout.
Running is essential for weight loss in this day and age.
Running is one of the best advocates for fighting obesity.
We have to get off of our butt, off of the couch, turn the tv off and get running!
Let's look at the benefits of running.

1. Burning Quick Fat
Running is really good for burning quick fat. It doesn't take long to get a good burn going.
Use your sweat as a gauge to tell if you are running long or hard enough.
If you are not sweating and you are jogging, then kick up afterburners and run your heart out.

2. Low Cost Workout
Running doesn't cost much to do.
All you need is a good pair of shoes and a good place to run.
I bought a pair of shoes for about twenty bucks and I run around my town.
If you are uncomfortable running around people, then run in a gym, or run on a road that is not busy in a neighborhood.

3. Runner's High
People say that you can workout all you want, but it's those that are strong enough mentally that will prevail.
This is very true in the sense of running.
When you are running and you get to the point where you think you are done, keep running and really feel those legs kick in. You will begin to feel good, as if you are on a, "high".
It is almost like in drugs or alcohol, with the exception that runner's high doesn't have side effects.
You will find that your body will keep going and will kick into gear.

4. Endorphin
Endorphin is a chemical in the body that is released when you are working out.
Endorphin gives you a good feeling in your body and puts you in a happier mood.
That is why when you work out hard, you will often find that you feel really good instead of bad.

Don't forget to drink plenty of water and be wise about running in excessive heat.
As we near the 4th of July keep in mind that those beers, that candy, and the really good food you are going to eat can pack on the pounds. Try to stay away from the excess sugar and fat in the foods you eat. I urge you to eat well and go with some healthy choices. Have a great week guys! We are...Off to the Races!

Fat Blasters for Guys!

So, you are that guy that wants the abs that everyone stares at, right?
Are you trying to get that beach body?
I mean, we all do!
So let's take a look at some fat blasters to give your fat burners a boost.

1. Shooting Some Hoops
Shooting some hoops with the guys is a good aerobic exercise.
Hoops with your buddies is great for helping them lose weight too.
2. HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training):
High Intensity Interval Training is a set of exercises that takes aerobics to the next level.
Jumping rope, mountain climbers and burpees are great HIIT exercises to get that fat melting off of you!
3. Skating or Skateboarding
Skating and skateboarding can burn a good amount of fat.
Pump those legs to get speed and burn even more.
4. Running
Running can burn a great amount of fat and blast it quickly.
Guys, you will have no problem with burning fat with running because it works on your stomach.
5. Run On the Beach
Running on the beach will give you even more fat burning incentive as it is extremely good for burning fat.
It really helps with burning your abs.
6. Squats
Working out your legs is working out the biggest muscles in your body.
Burn more fat by burning the fat on your legs and burns it all over your body.
7. Adding Protein
Adding protein to your diet will grow muscles easier and will help you bounce back quicker.
Protein is essential for building muscle that will burn fat.

Weight Loss Step 1 - Work Out Smarter

There are all of these people that work out so hard, but accomplish nothing.
You may be one of these people. Not to worry, we can fix that.
We are going to change the way you look at things.

1. Cardio
I'm sure that you have heard to do this before to lose weight.
Let's look at it through new eyes.
When working out cardio, you can work out on the treadmill.
The treadmill allows you to monitor your length of your run, calories burnt and heart rate.
Working out with sweats and a sweat shirt will boost the sweat and will burn of that obesity.

2. Compound Exercises
Working out with regular exercises only work on one body part at a time.
Compound exercises like deadlifts, pushups, and pullups are a few exercises that work on a few body parts at a time.

3. Walking, Jogging, or Running
Walking is great for burning calories, but jogging and running is better.
The body hits a certain rate when your body no longer feels much of anything, its called, "The Runner's High."
Your body gets an adrenaline rush and then you are able to run longer and harder.
Running burns 2-3 times as many calories as walking.
Jog or run for at least 45 minutes every other day at least three days a week and you will be on your way to killing obesity.
