Bodyweight Workout...Best Weight Loss


Its been said before, "You have to have a gym membership to lose weight." I would say that, that is a lie. The very best weight loss that you can have is from bodyweight workouts. I really want to discuss a few points that support this because people always think that you have to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars to lose weight. I have personally gone through doing bodyweight workouts and I have lost 45 pounds and kept it off really well. The slower you lose your weight and the better you lose your weight the longer you will keep it off. Let's get started!

1. Slow Burn
When you utilize the bodyweight workout you will find that it is a slower burn, but it will be a good burn. It feels different when you're doing bodyweight workouts because you don't expect it to do that much of a workout. The slow burn will allow your body to get used to and acclimate to you losing weight and enjoying the beautiful results. Bodyweight workouts allow you to lose weight in body fat and sculpt a great looking body.

2. Low Investment
You will find that you don't have to invest a whole lot of money when you do bodyweight workouts. All you have to invest is time and you have to be disciplined to do it. You can utilize the fact that you will be working out with your body and no equipment. All you need is about 10 square feet of space, some water to rehydrate, and the will to keep going.

3. Heavier Workout
I find that bodyweight workouts are harder than the normal workouts with equipment in a gym because the machines take the resistance away from your body. Bodyweight utilizes more resistance and more muscles are used when there is more resistance. You will feel more tired and get a good burn going when you do bodyweight workouts. The superhero workouts that I have shared on here are great because you will be able to use superhero chiseled muscles after a few months of doing bodyweight workouts.

I would like to invite you to look at the superhero workouts on our blog and use them. We are all for using gym memberships for what they are supposed to be used for, but I like using your body and saving money. The muscle that you will be getting from the bodyweight workouts will be more endurance muscle, but can give you a chance to work off of them and get superhero-like muscle in a few short months. Gorging Green Diet...the Cleanest Diet Yet?

Have you ever been gorging yourself when you should be on a diet, but you never thought that you could gorge yourself on green veggies? Have you ever just wanted a diet that would give you a cleaner and nutritional diet? Are you someone that needs a detoxification of your body by the diet that you're trying to choose? If you're someone that is sick of the conventional diets and you want a diet that is completely new and different, then this diet is for you. This is not your parents' diet and that is a very good and beautiful thing! Let's get into the diet that could sweep the world and take it by storm!

1. Greener is Cleaner
Greener is definitely cleaner and is not just better for the environment. Your body will have a new vibe when you begin to eat greener and cleaner. Spinach, lettuce, celery, Swiss chard, kale, and broccoli are just a few of the great super-foods and veggies that you can eat with this diet. Gorging yourself on green veggies will give you the essential vitamins and minerals that you body needs to run cleaner.

2. Calorie Counting Gone
Can there really be a diet that gets rid of calorie counting? This will be the second diet that we have created that utilizes watching what you eat instead of counting calories. There are also very few calories in fruits and veggies that are green. The reason that we want the calorie counting to be a thing of the past is that we want this diet to be easy enough for anyone to do. This makes fat burn and weight loss all the easier.

3. The Green of the Diet
The green aspect to the diet is what we want to utilize. By eating green fruits and veggies you will lose more weight quicker. I find that salads, soups, and smoothies that are green with veggies are some of the best ways to enjoy the green of the diet. Salads are probably my favorite when it comes to clean eating. The conundrum that we come against is the fact that putting gobs of dressing on your salad kills the purpose of green eating and the diet. Everything in moderation.

4. The Workout
The workout that I want to incorporate in this diet is very simple. I want you to walk. That is the simplest way of burning the most fat. Jogging or running is great, but your body gets into shape too quick and then doesn't burn enough fat to make a difference. Walking allows for the body to burn larger amounts of calories for the same length of workout than a heavy workout.

5. Share It!
The last element to this diet is to share it! Get the word out there that there is a new diet in the world that anyone and everyone can do. Star Wars Workout - May the Awakened Force be With You

With the new Star Wars movie set to break records in the box office at $300 million, we find ourselves wanting to workout like the famed Jedi in the Star Wars movies that we have grown to love over time! If you have run up against a wall in your working out, awaken the force in you, and become a Star Wars hero with this Star Wars Jedi workout. Find out how you can lose weight and fat by following and implementing this great workout to become like the Jedi that rule the Star Wars world!


















1. Legs
This great workout is mostly leg oriented and we find ourselves faced with another leg workout. The legs are the most overlooked body part group set. I have worked out my legs quite a bit and am happy to say that I have a good set of legs. Plyometrics are added very subtly to this workout as the leg exercises give you something more than just a burn in your legs. They will help you jump higher as well as burn fat.

2. Abs
Abs are the second most worked set of muscles in this workout. Abs are a very delicate set of muscles, but can be worked out quite well with this workout. These exercises typically will give you a good burn throughout your abdominal area. The side jackknives will need to be done at a slower pace because you can pull or separate the obliques from the ribs and it will cause lots of pain and discomfort.

All in all this in a really great workout that will help awaken the force and greatness in you. This is a true Jedi workout because it combines the abdominal power along with the combustibility of the legs to give you a good leg and jumping workout. This workout is not for the beginner unless you're going to take it very slow. Stretching is very vital to the well being and state of your muscles before, during, and after this workout. Stuck in a Rut? Blast Through Your Plateau!

Are you one of those people that is stuck in a rut? You work out, try to do everything right, but you still can't lose weight? I am here to tell you that there are a few things that you can do, starting today, that will help you blast through your plateau and get to the point of burning fat again. You may have lost a good bit of weight and then it slowed down or stopped. This is what we call a plateau. It happens when what you're doing for weight loss, your diet, workout, and other things that you're doing become insufficient and too easy for your body to handle. Let's look at a few things that can help!

1. Cut Out Sugar
If you already haven't cut out sugar, you will be pleasantly surprised to find that you can help blast through your plateau if you merely cut out sugar. Sugar is what diseases and cancer feeds on. There is little to no good bodily benefits to sugar besides the fact that it gives you a little bit of energy. If you cut out sugar, you are on your way to blasting that plateau.

2. Get Motivated!
One reason why you may be plateauing in your weight loss is because of a lack of motivation. I have found that in my own weight loss, if I wasn't fully committed to doing it, making it work, really cooking good things, and keeping my motivation, I would fall behind and gain weight in my plateau. You need to stay motivated to blast through the plateau! Here is a video to help you guys with motivation!


3. Cut the Calories
Something that I figured out a long time ago when I was working on my weight loss was that you really have to watch how many calories you cut and make sure that you are really cutting calories. You may think that you're cutting calories in one area of the weight loss, but you forget that you are still consuming them by the truckload in other areas of weight loss. Cut those calories.

4. Change Your Workout
Another revelation that I had when I was younger and studying about weight loss was the fact that the body, when you give it enough time, will make itself strong enough to become efficient enough to get through your workout with ease. It was mind blowing! Change your workout and make it harder or get a different kind of workout that utilizes your weaker muscle groups. Blast through that plateau!

5. Visualize
A lot of the time that I spent in weight loss was time that I didn't visualize what I was doing. I thought that I was still fat, still overweight, still obese, and it was a driving force for that huge plateau that weighed me down. Visualize success and visualize a skinnier and more slim and sleek you that you can be proud of. Don't get weighed down on where you are now, visualize where you want to be.

6. Journal EVERYTHING
If you guys remember, I incorporated keeping journal into our weight loss steps at the founding of this blog. Writing down everything that you eat, lick, or taste can be a great way to see exactly what you are eating. It helps us know what we are eating, how much of it, when we eat it, and it allows us to adjust our weight loss program and how we do things accordingly.

7. Eat More Fiber
This is a rut that I found myself in when I looked at my weight loss. I wasn't eating enough fiber and I had a lot of food just sitting in my stomach that was seeming to rot. I wasn't passing my food quick enough because I wasn't eating enough fiber, and this was allowing my body to consume and put on more of the fat and weight from my food. Eating more fiber allows your body to get rid of impurities.

8. Overeating
A lot of the time, when we go to restaurants, they give us gigantic amounts of food. We think that we have to eat all of this food, when in fact, we don't! Put half of your meal into a box or doggy bag and save it for later. Overeating can happen at home as well. When you are at home all the time, you're around food, and your body feels like it wants to eat all of the time. Get out of this rut and blast through that plateau.

You guys can and will conquer your plateau. I believe that you guys can get out of this rut and blast through your plateau. I would suggest implementing these tips on how to get out of your plateau. When you let your plateau go to long, it becomes harder to get out of it later on. The longer you wait on getting out the worse off you are. Weight loss is a hard venture that takes strength and energy to get through. You can do it!

Kettlebells, Put Your Abs on the Stove

How many of us would just love it if our fat melted off without very little effort? What would you say if I told you that I have one piece of equipment that could do that? Would you be skeptical, or would you be willing to try it? What if I told you that you could feel results as soon as the VERY NEXT DAY?!? This piece of equipment needs no introduction. It may not be the most popular, but it is a fantastic piece of inexpensive equipment. It takes little to no space to work out.

Kettlebells are some of the best workout pieces of equipment that you can invest in for your body to get in the best shape of its life. It's basically a cannonball with a handle. It gives you the best workout on the planet in order to burn fat. It's like cutting out your abs, putting them on an extremely hot grill, and searing them until the fat just burns off on that stove. You will be surprised at how easy it will be to burn fat off. It's like High Intensity Interval Training combined with bodybuilding and cardio all rolled into one big workout that takes less than 30 minutes depending on how intense your workout is. Kettlebells take movements that are somewhat irregular, and then it incorporates those movements into a killer fat burn. Let's break it down!

1. Quick Results as Soon as The Next Day?
I'm very happy to say that you will be extremely sore the next day. If you work out with kettlebells, you will find them to be so effective that they will make you very sore. The thing is, the more sore you are, the more they will work. You get quick results because the kettlebells utilize muscles that you don't normally use. They range from a few pounds for women up to about a hundred pounds for kettlebell weight lifters. I found myself trying to get out of bed today and it was hard to stand up. I did a workout with a lot of deadlifts because I have more fat to burn on my glutes and thighs than most guys. If you are someone that needs results quick, there is no piece of equipment that is quicker at giving you results than kettlebells!

2. A Different Kind of Weight Loss?
Kettlebells give you a different kind of weight loss that is so new for some people that it will be mind blowing and unbelievable! The workouts that many a great athlete has used are so intense that the fat burning off is a lot like the process of making fried pig skins. Kettlebells cause you to do hip and ab thrusts in order to get the kettlebell to do what you want it to do. I felt my abs stretch and burn when I was working out. It not only builds the abdomen muscles underneath your fat, but it burns your fat as well. The reason that I have found that the weight loss with kettlebells is different is because it builds muscle first and then burns fat. Most of the time when you participate in a weight loss program, you are weak and your body suffers from not eating so much. With kettlebells, you feel your workout working, and you don't have to starve yourself in order to lose weight. The bigger the muscles are, the more fat you burn.

3. Are Kettlebells Dangerous?
At first glance of the picture above, you may be asking yourself, "Aren't kettlebells dangerous?" The thing is, is that a lot of workout equipment is dangerous, even a small one pound dumbbell. Even a yoga mat can be dangerous. I would suggest working out with a kettlebell with shoes on as opposed to going barefoot. If you drop it on your foot, it could bruise your foot and add problems to your workout. I feel like a lot of people don't utilize these great pieces of equipment more because they are scared that they are going to get hurt from the kettlebell. The only way you're going to get hurt is if you misuse the kettlebell. I will have a kettlebell workout video at the bottom for you guys to follow. Men and women can both take part in making their bodies as lean as you want with this piece of equipment.

4. What Kind of Body Will Kettlebells Give Me?
I've kind of given you guys a glimpse of what kind of body you can get with kettlebells, but I want to elaborate a bit more. These kettlebells will give you a lot of lean and shredded muscle. Abs will become more visible as you shred and rip that fat off of your body. I find that I start to get more defined muscle than just the bulky, cookie cutter, muscle from machines. If you want to shed more fat off of your glutes and thighs like I do, then do more deadlifts. If you want to have better ab definition, then you can do twists. Whatever kind of body you want, you can tweak your workout in order to get to that body the quickest way possible. Kettlebells will also work on your legs, so you will be working out the rest of your body and doing leg day at the same time! Missing leg day is a thing of the past!

If I sound like I'm a believer in kettlebells and the many benefits of what they embody, I am! I believe that you can tone your body, cut those muscles, rip and shred that fat, and get to that lean body that you so want with a kettlebell that should cost you no more than about a dollar for each pound that you buy. If your kettlebell is 20 LB., then you should be paying around $20. There are some that are a combination of plates that you can remove to make your kettlebell lighter or heavier, these are more advanced. I would suggest that women start with 10 pounds and guys start with 15 pounds. This fine piece of weight burning equipment is probably the best piece of equipment I've ever found when it comes to weight loss. I think that everyone should participate in kettlebell exercises. If you want to get strong, lose weight, define muscle, get a body builders body, or get a body for MMA, I would suggest that you get a kettlebell, follow a video and get going. There is no time to lose! GO!

This workout is for beginners. I would suggest that you start with this unless you have a history of having done a workout or have been in sports before. This is not for the faint of heart. Women and men can do this. I would encourage you all to consider kettlebells. It will change your life!

New Maximum Fat Burn Workout!

So, you want to stay in from the cold and work out while still getting the maximum fat burn? I have just the workout for you! A lot of people work out and they just don't work out to make a difference. This workout concentrates on burning fat on the abs and will leave your mid-section burning as if there were no tomorrow. You have your New Year's resolutions set and now its time to put your foot to the pedal and get those pounds shed off. The crazy part about this workout is that it is a 5 minute a day workout and you can do it anywhere you have space without any equipment next to a timer! It will be that easy to burn fat!

1. Preparation
Preparation begins with finding a timer. You need a timer to time yourself. Next, stretch those muscles. Stretch out all your muscles in your body because this workout is sure to be a killer one. After you have stretched, find a spot that is a clear space to stretch your body out to work out.

2. The Workout!

5 Minute Workout
The workout is 5 minutes long and that is it!

Mountain Climbers: 30 seconds of mountain climbers.

Plank: 30 seconds of planks (Holding the push-up position.)

Sit-ups: 30 seconds of sit-ups.

Why does this workout sound too good to be true? It's because most workouts that burn crazy amounts of fat take longer, a lot longer than 5 minutes! This workout's intensity is compounded so much that you get three times the workout in a third to a fifth of the time that it would normally take. The only way that you get harder once the five minutes is easy is to add a minute to your workout for a week and keep compounding it. This is the easiest, shortest, and most efficient fat burning workout out there.

All you have to do is start with the mountain climbers and cycle through these exercises until 5 minutes has expired. It's that simple! You may want to pace yourself because it will be a most powerful workout. Your abs will be crying for joy that you are working them out. If you can do this one 4-6 days a week, you will see the fat melt off like there is no tomorrow. You will enjoy this one because its three exercises cycled until 5 minutes is gone and then there its done. If you incorporate a balanced and good diet the fat burns even quicker because there is nowhere for the fat you eat to go. Enjoy this new maximum fat burn workout guys!

Thor Workout...Strength of an Asgard Warrior!

Come on, we have seen the workout that Batman threw down, but now there is a Thor workout?!? Yep! Thor's workout is a shoulder and upper body heavy workout that is bound and determined to leave your core burning like lightning, and your shoulders like smoldering fire. Chris Hemsworth a really ripped and lean body, but it wasn't always like that. He began to throw down this workout and lost some fat to really cut out his muscle. Now, he is known as an iconic Marval legend known as Thor. Thor is admired for his cannonball shoulders, tight eight pack core, and quad god legs that leave nothing to be desired. I personally did this workout three times in a matter of four days and I noticed a considerably large amount of muscle growth and lots of muscle definition. Join me in working out like Thor!

PREPARATION
Please, please, please stretch well because this workout is no light workout. This workout CAN and WILL hurt you if you don't stretch!

1. 20 Lunges
The 20 lunges will leave your legs burning and your heart rate up after the first set. These lunges work your hamstrings, quads, and all-around legs.

2. 5 Shoulder Presses
The shoulder presses will get your upper body going as they work your deltoids and upper shoulders.

3. 10 One Legged Squats
The one legged squats work on defining your calf muscles and your lower quads. Don't underestimate them!

4. 20 Shoulder Touches
These shoulder touches help your shoulders grow, as well as your chest and your core due to having to balance.

5. 12 Pushups
The reason that there are not a lot of pushups is because there are a lot of shoulder exercises. You can alternate your leg distance to work different parts of your muscles.

6. 20 Plank Jump-Ins
These jump-ins will raise your heart rate and will torch your core as you work on them.

7. 20 Sit-Ups
20 sit-ups will help work on those upper abs. You will enjoy this as a down exercise to rest your shoulders.

8. 20 Sitting Twists
These twists are called Russian twists and are not to be taken lightly either. They are easy enough, but try them on the third set and you will be dying afterward.

9. 20 Turkish Get-Ups
These get-ups are the clincher for absolute wear-down. They are not fun by any stretch of the imagination, but they work your core muscles to the max!

Beginner Level: 3 Sets 
Moderate Level: 5 Sets 
Advanced Level: 7 Sets

MMA Workout...Train Like the Pros!

I don't know if you have ever seen the MMA artists that fight in the UFC and other leagues, but those guys are straight up ripped! Muscle hangs off of their bodies like chunks of chiseled granite, muscles are cut, and their strength to remain unbroken while fighting is unmatched. They attempt to reach fully perfected bodies that have less than 7% body fat. Their hands are heavy with punches, their feet are like bowling balls that they hit people in the head with, and their abs are so explosive that they are able to move at extreme speeds. How would you like to train and do some of the exercises that these guys do? Let's begin the madness!

Warmup:
(Stretch)
1. Jog
Jogging for 15 minutes before your workout will ensure that you are burning all fat and that your body has surpassed burning just sugars. Jogging can be a great warm-up for those cold muscles as well as a fat burning furnace boost.

2. 10 Push-ups
Get in a push-up position on hands and feet and go all the way up and all the way down.

3. 40 Punches
Punch 40 times, all the way out and all the way back.

4. 20 Mountain Climbers
Climb those mountains in push-up position thrusting those legs back and forth.

5. 20 Flying Knees
Jump while bringing one knee as high as you can. Alternate legs and do 20 per leg.

6. 12 Leg Raises
Lay on your back and raise those legs up and all the way down, then back up.

7. 30 Second Plank
Hold that push-up position in a plank for 30 seconds.

8. 10 Burpees
Fall to a push-up position, do a push-up, crunch back up to a ball, jump up in the air and repeat.

9. 15 Jumping Jacks
Jump those jacks and get that heart beat going!

10. Running in Place for 1 Minute
Run in place for 1 minute. Get those knees as high as you can. All the way up and all the way down.

11. 20 Shoulder Touches
Push-up position and touch one shoulder, put the arm back down and repeat alternating your arms.

Beginners Repeat exercises 2-11 for 3-5 Sets
Intermediate Repeat exercises 2-11 for 6-7 Sets
Advanced Repeat exercises 2-11 for 8-10 Sets

This workout is built to rip your muscles and to leave you wishing that you hadn't done it. The results in turn are those of an MMA fighter and are WAY worth doing. You will lose fat and be dripping wet from sweat within seconds of starting this workout. Try out this workout 1 set and see how you like it. Take this up and try to get up to 10 sets of this workout to get those chiseled granite muscles that are rock hard and looking good!

Why Should I Lose Weight?

Your sitting there among your friends and several of them appear to be either hungry from dieting and trying to lose weight, or they are exhausted from working out trying to lose weight. I'm going to play devil's advocate today and ask, "Why?" "Why should I lose weight?" I mean, if it's so incredibly hard to diet and lose weight, why should you even do it? If you have never asked yourself this question, now is the time to do do it. Why should you lose weight if you have never done or thought about it before? Let's get into why you should lose weight!

1. You Will Feel Better
You will feel considerably and exceedingly better if you were to lose weight and be at a healthy weight. Millions of overweight people suffer from broken down feet, shin splints, bouncing fat, overhanging fat rolls, high blood pressure, and lots of other things. Hundreds of thousands of people die each year from obese related diseases and they just don't feel good. They appear to look like they are living life to the fullest, eating what they want, and doing no exercising, but they don't feel good.

2. People Will Notice You More
For lots of us, we want to recognized more and we want to be more popular, but we find that being overweight causes people to misjudge us. The people that get bullied are the overweight people. The people that are outcast or ignored are the overweight, obese people. If you were to take up the Batman Workout that we talked about in the last post, and you executed it 3-4 days a week, you would lose weight and feel better about yourself. This, in turn, helps others to feel better about you as well!

3. You Accomplish Your New Year's Resolution!
Let's be bluntly honest with ourselves, the large majority of people make a New Years resolution to lose weight or get a ripped body. If you are one of the hundreds of thousands and millions of people that make this New Year's resolution, then you can rest assured that this is a great reason in and of itself for you to lose weight. Check out our post from last year on making New Year's resolutions and accomplishing them!

4. Smaller Clothes
If you lose weight, you will be able to wear smaller clothes! I know that this is a simple concept that we take for granted, but it will literally allow you to wear 2-4 sizes smaller clothes-wise. You may find that smaller clothes instead of those ugly sweats and sweatshirts will be better looking, confidence raising, clothes that are easy to wear. Some of you may have seen the TLC show What Not To Wear. These people get a makeover on their clothes and facial features. While it isn't losing weight for most of them, they still look as though they have a new life after changing just their clothes! I'm urging you to lose the weight, and get better clothes! 

5. More Energy
If you were to lose weight you would have more energy for more activities in your day. You would not believe the amount of energy that you would have if you would lose weight and drink enough water. The energy would be gushing out of you in large amounts. "I don't want any more energy," said no one ever! You will be able to have more energy without having to drink an energy drink, it will be all natural and you will feel better. It may take a bit getting used to!

For all of these very logical and profitable reasons, you should lose weight! It will be highly profitable and will allow you a new lease on life that will free you to begin a new life. People will look at you differently after your weight loss. Accomplishing a New Year's resolution is another excellent reason that stands alone. If you aren't convinced that weight loss is right for you, no one is going to force you to lose weight. Do it if you want to, but you are missing out on a crazy good life of not carrying around extra weight!

The Batman Workout...1 Batty Workout

A lot of us have seen the Batman series and think of him as a hero that has been under rated because he doesn't have a super power. Batman has a great physical body that we all wish we had. We really don't give these super heroes credit for being ripped, strong, and able to save a lot of people. He was Gotham's savior and enemy at the same time. His workout is a very impressively exhausting workout that will leave you healing your strained and worked muscles for days. If you want a good ab workout that will rip your abs, take a look!

1. Muscle Groups Worked
Let's be honest, to lose weight you have to build some serious muscle to burn some fat. The Batman workout utilizes all muscle groups and tends to not leave any out of the mix. It is a leg heavy, ab heavy workout that will leave your legs and abs torched. My shoulders were even feeling like they were extremely sore. Get ready to work out all of your muscle groups and really get some bat-like muscle.

2. Fat Burn
The fat burn aspect of the Batman workout is something to be desired because it is mostly a workout that builds muscle. the exercises are built to build your abs and get the ball rolling towards the fat burn. Don't get me wrong, there is fat being burned here. There is fat burned with any and every workout, but some have more fat burned than others.

3. Variety of Exercises
This workout tends to be on the more interesting side of things because of how many exercises there are. There are 9 exercises altogether to help work your major muscle groups beyond what you thought you would get from a workout. The Batman workout doesn't just focus on crunches and push-ups. There are exercises that utilize the push-up, plank, crunches, and leg raises until absolute failure. How Do I Work Out When I'm Hurt?



There are some of us that work out really hard, we are going, burning some good calories, and then we get hurt. How are we supposed to work out when we are hurt? I have recently hurt my shoulder (three or four weeks ago now) and have been rehabbing it back to health. I was doing 100 push-ups and 100 kettle-bell swings in 1 workout before I got hurt. I was really getting results and was slimming good. Then I got hurt while I was playing Ultimate Frisbee. I fell on my head and neck after someone had pushed me. What was I going to do to rehab and recuperate my shoulder? I soon realized that living life and functioning was going to be more difficult than I thought.

1. Start Small, But Start!
I started back after giving my shoulder a week off of any activity with 5 push-ups and 5 kettle-bell swings. I have been working my way up as the weeks have gone by. I am proud to say that after STARTING back again that I am up to 70 push-ups and about 100 kettle-bell swings in 1 workout. I have been going for 4 weeks!

2. Use Your Body Part
I would suggest that you used your body part that is injured. This doesn't mean that you go and run a marathon on a hurt leg. It means that you use it enough to not let it get stiff. I threw thousands of Frisbee's on my retreat that lasted four days and it loosened up my shoulder to strengthen it again. In order for muscles to heal you have to keep breaking them down to grow them back up. Use your body part.

3. Keep the Rest of Your Body Strong
Just because one part of your body is hurt doesn't mean that you have to stop working out the entire body. If your leg is hurt, then work out your upper body and arms. If your arm is hurt, then workout your lower body. Keeping the rest of your body strong will help your weak body part to acclimate quicker and better.

4. Stay Mentally Strong
Keeping your mind mentally strong will help you to overcome your injury however small or big it is. Your mental state is what helps your physical state to operate at peak performance. If your mind isn't in it, then your body won't be either.

5. Rest
Resting is part of the rehab. When you are hurting you can only workout or play so much. Keep it to a low and get some rest while you are hurt. You have to give your body enough time to energize and rehab itself. Take a break and give it some rest. If you want to work out you can still work out, but give yourself an extra day to rest. It will feel uncomfortable when you work out when you are hurt, but you have to work out to an extent.

6. GO OUT AND GET SOME!
Woohoo! That's right! You heard me! The final step after you have rehabbed enough it to GO OUT AND GET SOME! Don't stand idly by and watch the world go around. Go!

Explosive Afterburn Workout

Hey guys. So this morning I figured that I would share another video with you guys on another workout to inspire you guys. I hope that you guys adopt these videos and use them. Mike Chang is a Personal Trainer that has laid out his wisdom and knowledge about losing weight in many many videos. The first video describes what the "Afterburn Effect" is. It is really in depth and I will let him explain it to you. :-)


The second video is the main one that I want you guys to focus on. It is a workout that requires no equipment and you can do it at home. The best part is that Mike Chang will do it with you. He uses the concept of the Afterburn Effect to burn fat and help you lose weight.



I have used many of the videos that he has made. I would like to bring up that he has offered an apology that says that he has cheated and he wanted to apologize to those people that support him. He has come clean and I still would say that his videos are still applicable. I agree with using supplements if they help you build muscle. I agree with using protein powder or drinking protein shakes. Stick to that supplement only if you must consume one. I have lost a lot of weight and have gained considerable muscle through it all. I urge you to give him a second chance and watch these great videos!

Workout Videos...Weight Loss Solution?

Off to the Races?

So often we think, "I don't want to run. Ugh...it's too hot outside!"
I want to encourage you guys to take up running for your workout.
Running is essential for weight loss in this day and age.
Running is one of the best advocates for fighting obesity.
We have to get off of our butt, off of the couch, turn the tv off and get running!
Let's look at the benefits of running.

1. Burning Quick Fat
Running is really good for burning quick fat. It doesn't take long to get a good burn going.
Use your sweat as a gauge to tell if you are running long or hard enough.
If you are not sweating and you are jogging, then kick up afterburners and run your heart out.

2. Low Cost Workout
Running doesn't cost much to do.
All you need is a good pair of shoes and a good place to run.
I bought a pair of shoes for about twenty bucks and I run around my town.
If you are uncomfortable running around people, then run in a gym, or run on a road that is not busy in a neighborhood.

3. Runner's High
People say that you can workout all you want, but it's those that are strong enough mentally that will prevail.
This is very true in the sense of running.
When you are running and you get to the point where you think you are done, keep running and really feel those legs kick in. You will begin to feel good, as if you are on a, "high".
It is almost like in drugs or alcohol, with the exception that runner's high doesn't have side effects.
You will find that your body will keep going and will kick into gear.

4. Endorphin
Endorphin is a chemical in the body that is released when you are working out.
Endorphin gives you a good feeling in your body and puts you in a happier mood.
That is why when you work out hard, you will often find that you feel really good instead of bad.

Don't forget to drink plenty of water and be wise about running in excessive heat.
As we near the 4th of July keep in mind that those beers, that candy, and the really good food you are going to eat can pack on the pounds. Try to stay away from the excess sugar and fat in the foods you eat. I urge you to eat well and go with some healthy choices. Have a great week guys! We are...Off to the Races!
