5 Secret Exercises for Getting Pumped Up Muscle at Home

It's no secret that there have been certain exercises to working out and getting pumped. We have 5 secret exercises for getting pumped up muscle at home and without heavy equipment. All you're going to need is a hand towel or bath towel. You might be thinking that these exercises couldn't possibly get you pumped up muscle, but you would be DEAD wrong! I have used these to get ripped at home for free and the secret is out...these work to get you jacked and ripped.

1. Push-up Hand Raises
In order to do the push-up hand raises you're going to want to grip your towel about shoulder width apart. Then you assume push-up position when you're at your highest, then you try to raise your hands one at a time as close to your body as you can get them. If this doesn't work with your hands being shoulder width apart then put them closer together. This exercise will work your shoulders, your triceps, your chest, and your abs. Try to pull your hands apart as you lift the hands one at a time.

2. Military Press Skull Crushers
To properly execute the military press you hold the towel shoulder width apart and you extend your arms above your head and bring it down in front or behind your head. For this exercise we are going to bend our elbows as our hands go behind our head. Once your hands are above your head we are going to pull our hands apart while gripping the towel. This exercise will work your shoulders, upper back, 

3. Super Crunch
We are doing a variation of a crunch in which you are going to hold the towel shoulder width apart and try to get the towel gripping hands to your feet at the end of the crunch. Focus on trying to pull the towel gripped hands apart. This will give us a greater stretch in our shoulders and a deeper crunch in our abs. All of the sections of the ab wall be activated. Don't bounce as this will take away of the deep burn that you will experience.

4. High Knees
High knees are done when you run in place, trying to get your knees as high as you can. We are going to hold the towel out in front of us and try to pull those long shoulder width arms apart. You can variate this by bouncing the hands up and down while trying to do those high knees. Another variation of these high knees is to variate your running speed. Try running slower, then faster, then at a medium pace. This exercise will toast your legs, abs, and your arms.

5. Squashing Squat
We are going to ramp up the squat and make it something to behold. This is going to be a man-maker of an exercise. Assume the squat position with your towel in your hands at shoulder width apart fully stretched out. Push your hands out until you can feel your abs activate. Push your hands up and stretch those abs upwards after a few moments, and then thrust those hands down in a sort of a squat crunch. Try to push the hands apart in order to get more out of this exercise.

1 TIP (This is what makes these exercises work!)
Pull the hands apart as much as you can with these exercises in order to get more burn and deeper reps. Do these exercises every day until failure and you will be ripped and jacked with huge muscles.
Weight loss, fat burn, and obliteration of obesity is the inevitable destiny after you have used these exercises to workout. You will be burning so much more fat if you do these until failure. These exercises are widely known and you will find yourself gasping for air after this workout.

Burn the Buns, Build the Guns!

How many of us have too much fat on our buns and thighs and we just want to lose it? What I'm wanting to do in this blog post is to educate you guys on how you can burn the fat on your buns and then to build some great muscles on those leg guns. Would you burn your cellulite or fat off of your buns if you knew how to do it? Of course you would! I am going to give you guys some exercises that you can do at home and without spending any money. I have built considerable muscle on my guns and have enjoyed being leaner on my buns and thighs!

1. Squats
Squats were the very first thing that I did when I wanted to burn fat off of my butt or buns. Squats utilize the buttock muscles, hamstrings, and even the quads. This is a compound exercise that works more than one body part at a time. Because we use so many different parts of our body we burn more fat and calories than other exercises that don't utilize all of your body parts.

2. Run
This one is kind of an oxymoron because running uses so many body parts, but it also uses core muscles that help burn fat. Running might be painful if you are heavily overweight or obese, but it is something that you can do, or you can even jog if you want to. Get out there and get the buns that you want!

3. Sit
Wall sits are another great exercise that you can do. Wall sits allow you to really squeeze your buttock muscles and feel the burn in the buns. This exercise will help you to build those muscles that you will really enjoy. The wall sits were one of my favorite exercises to do because you can do it against a wall and it doesn't cost any money.

You guys and gals will be well on your way to building the guns and burning the buns with these three great exercises! These three are some of the most basic exercises that you can do, but if you do them until failure, for four days a week, you will be surely on your way to great buns. If you want a burning in your buttocks that will indicate that the exercises are working, you can be sure that these three exercises will do it for you. Go and burn off that fat!

7 Foods that Fire Up Your Body for Fat Burn!

I know that I've given you guys a lot of criticisms over my time of writing for you guys. Today I want to give you 7 foods that will fire up your body and prepare it for fat burn. The way you burn fat is not as essential as what you are eating to get to the point where you can burn the fat. How we eat affects our diet and how we burn fat. Also, WHAT we eat affects it as well. We will focus on the what to eat as we look at 7 foods that will fire up that metabolism and help your body burn that fat!

1. Apples or Pears
Apples and pears have been proven to be effective in raising your metabolism and fat burn in your body by raising the fiber in your stomach and intestines and keeping your body feeling full for a longer time. They are semi high in sugar though, so overeating them could have reverse effects.

2. Whole Eggs
Eating whole eggs is often thought to be a great increase in cholesterol due to the fat that is found in the egg yolk. Recent studies have shown this to be untrue and a false assumption. They are high in protein and high in vitamins. Eat a couple with breakfast to give your fat burn a boost.

3. Leafy Greens
Leafy greens such as kale, lettuce, Swiss chard, and collard greens have many important factors in raising that fat burn level in your body. They have fiber that keeps your body feeling full, as well as being low in calories and carbohydrates. Grab a salad for lunch and fire up that fat burning machine!

4. Dark Chocolate
I have a feeling that you guys and girls will like this one! I'm telling you that the antioxidant rich, low sugar, low processed, fiber filled, crunchy chocolate made by cocoa beans will be a great food that will fire up that body for burning fat for several hours. All you have to do is eat a few pieces and then watch the fat burn away!

5. Beans
Beans are an excellent source of protein, they are inexpensive, and they take a long time to digest. The fiber richness of the food allows for longer digesting time, which means it will take more calories to burn the beans off. I eat my beans with ham hocks or by themselves with hot dogs. Burn some fat by firing up your body with beans.

6. Soup
Soup can be a really good food to fire up your body and help it burn that fat for a long time. Most of the time soups are a weighty and heavy food that utilizes fiber, vitamins and minerals, and protein. They can be heavy on the sodium which isn't the best thing, but there are soups like Progresso that are good in sodium and fat.

7. Olive Oil
If you're someone that has been on the Mediterranean diet, you are all too familiar with olive oil. A fact about olive oil is that the Greeks used to drink a cup of it in the morning for breakfast to jump-start their body's digestive system and keep things regular. You don't have to drink it straight, but sprinkle it over a salad, in some whole grain pasta, or have it on some break with a vinaigrette. Olive oil has properties of good fats and minerals that will give you a fat burn.

Summer Slimming Now!

Has anyone ever felt like you wanted to have a really nice looking body? Maybe you have felt like you wanted to look like your favorite athlete or celebrity. If you want a body that you would be proud to show off during the summer time, take a look at these tips to prepare your body for enjoying the summer sun without fear of someone looking at you with judging eyes. Slimming your body for the summer can be hard, but you guys can accomplish it and get a good looking beach body that you have always dreamed of having.

1. Compound Exercises By choosing to use compound exercises you allow your body to burn more calories than just the normal exercises. If you do things like running or sports and you train hard, then you can burn extra calories than just a few here and there. Bodybuilding or weight lifting require you to do compound exercises, as well as aerobic exercises.

2. Volleyball TrainingIf you use volleyball training, then you can burn more calories by running through the sand. You can dribble a soccer ball through the sand and zigzag. By running through the sand, your legs burn a lot of calories because they are squeezing and are just trying to keep you from falling over. Volleyball players have chiseled granite for muscles because it takes every muscle in your body to play. Find a local beach volleyball team and train or get some friends together!

3. Exert YourselfExertion while you are working out is essential when you are working on slimming for summer. you have to give something to get something. All you have to do is put some energy and work into your working out until you're sweating a good sweat and then you know you are working out well enough. A lot of people don't exert or overexert themselves at all when working out and then they question why they are not slimming. Put some elbow grease into it!

New Maximum Fat Burn Workout!

So, you want to stay in from the cold and work out while still getting the maximum fat burn? I have just the workout for you! A lot of people work out and they just don't work out to make a difference. This workout concentrates on burning fat on the abs and will leave your mid-section burning as if there were no tomorrow. You have your New Year's resolutions set and now its time to put your foot to the pedal and get those pounds shed off. The crazy part about this workout is that it is a 5 minute a day workout and you can do it anywhere you have space without any equipment next to a timer! It will be that easy to burn fat!

1. Preparation
Preparation begins with finding a timer. You need a timer to time yourself. Next, stretch those muscles. Stretch out all your muscles in your body because this workout is sure to be a killer one. After you have stretched, find a spot that is a clear space to stretch your body out to work out.

2. The Workout!

5 Minute Workout
The workout is 5 minutes long and that is it!

Mountain Climbers: 30 seconds of mountain climbers.

Plank: 30 seconds of planks (Holding the push-up position.)

Sit-ups: 30 seconds of sit-ups.

Why does this workout sound too good to be true? It's because most workouts that burn crazy amounts of fat take longer, a lot longer than 5 minutes! This workout's intensity is compounded so much that you get three times the workout in a third to a fifth of the time that it would normally take. The only way that you get harder once the five minutes is easy is to add a minute to your workout for a week and keep compounding it. This is the easiest, shortest, and most efficient fat burning workout out there.

All you have to do is start with the mountain climbers and cycle through these exercises until 5 minutes has expired. It's that simple! You may want to pace yourself because it will be a most powerful workout. Your abs will be crying for joy that you are working them out. If you can do this one 4-6 days a week, you will see the fat melt off like there is no tomorrow. You will enjoy this one because its three exercises cycled until 5 minutes is gone and then there its done. If you incorporate a balanced and good diet the fat burns even quicker because there is nowhere for the fat you eat to go. Enjoy this new maximum fat burn workout guys!

Alternative to Dieting?

You have often heard the quote, "breakfast is the most important meal of the day." I'm here to tell you that, that statement isn't necessarily true. Today we are going to talk about intermittent fasting. Lots of people only have a few hours to eat due to crazy work schedules and just life in general. Its better to eat for a few hours and then to stop eating. This is an alternative to dieting. This is a great option for those people that hate dieting. Let's get started!


1. What is Intermittent Fasting?
Intermittent fasting is, eating for a give set of hours and then now eating for a long amount of time. Basically, I can eat at 8:00 in the morning, and then I have 6-8 hours to eat the rest of my daily intake of calories. After that, I don't eat until the next day at 8:00am. There is a huge span in there when the body burns excess fat and gets your body for the next day of eating. Your metabolism will run so fast that your fat will not stay in your stomach.

2. What are the benefits of intermittent fasting?
The benefits to this kind of fasting is the sheer fact that you're not eating and then going to sleep. When you eat and then go to sleep you make it easy for your body to store extra fat and weight. Fasting like this allows your body to burn more calories over the fasting time, especially when you work out at night. For those with diabetes its suggested that you not fast like this.

3. Eat like a King, Prince, and a Pauper!
For your first of your six meals eat like a king. For the next meals eat like a prince, and for your last, eat like a pauper. In essence, you eat the most food earlier on in the day. You eat like a king and a prince first because eating like a pauper near night time allows you to hit your fast earlier rather than later. You eat smaller amounts of food as the day wears on and your body burns it quicker because you are eating 6 smaller meals in a day.

Get going guys! This is not a diet. Its just a lifestyle change that allows you to eat well and lose weight at the same time. Intermittent fasting is one of the great tips for weight loss that most people don't think about. Share it with your family and friends!

5 Tips to Beat Obesity

You may have heard that it was said, "You are what you eat." This isn't always true, but there is something to be said for eating too much or eating a bunch of food that's bad for you. You won't become a fatty, greasy piece of pizza if you eat it, but you may become obese or overweight if you eat too much pizza, too often. You won't become a carrot if you eat it either! You can become someone that obese if you eat obese inducing foods. Not to worry, we are going to give you 5 tips to jumpstart you on your beating obesity.

1. Listen
A lot of us, when we are looking for something to eat have a little voice in our head warning us not to eat what we are looking at. This little voice seems to disappear after we begin eating, and then it shows up near the end of our meal, right before dessert. Listen to that voice the first time if you know that the food or drink is going to be bad for you. If you decide to eat that bad food, eat a little bit of it and be done. If you go to a restaurant, eat half of your meal and then put the other half in the box.

2. Work-out
Working out is a long lost thing of the past. I mean, you have a few guys that work out hard, they look good, but we need more of those people. If you need something to help you help you to get started, start with trying to do 20 pushups. If that is easy for you consider doing the Batman workout. The main thing is to get off the couch and get going. You can't lose fat when you do nothing to burn the fat. We have tons of workouts to help you. Get up!

3. Invest
Invest in good food for your diet. So many people buy fatty, junky, and poor quality food that the body absolutely despises. Your taste buds may think that it tastes good, but your body is screaming and yelling that it is poison and detrimental to you. Invest in some fresh produce, good whole grains, nuts, and other good foods. Stop paying very little for food that just isn't worth giving a second thought to and invest some money in good foods.

4. Slower is Better
Losing weight slower is better than losing it fast because you never really get used to being lighter than you were. When you lose weight fast your body doesn't get the message until months after you have lost the weight. By then you have started to go back to eating your junk food. Eat your good foods, work out, and lose weight as it comes. Losing your weight slower is way better than losing it fast. Fat doesn't burn that quick anyways!

5. Run
This tip may be something that not everyone can do. If you can't run then jog or walk. Get out into that summer heat and burn some fat off. Take plenty of water as you can become dehydrated while running, jogging, or walking. Don't just sit at home and watch this beautiful season go by without taking full advantage of it. Run like Usain Bolt does when he runs his record pace. Uh...maybe we can't run that fast, but we can still run and workout to get to a place where we are fit and built.

Job Edition: Teachers and Professors

I was running one day thinking of what I wanted to give you guys next. Then it hit me! I thought that I would give you guys weight loss tips for each lazy job in the world. I mean, with all of the tasks you have to do at the office or at school, you really don't have time to work out and lose weight. Our Job Edition posts will chose a job and then give you the tips for weight loss. So...here we go!

Our first Job Edition features a job that is very tedious where you sit and deal with a bunch of punk kids or adults that act like kids. This is our Teachers and Professors Edition. I have been in the same place because I'm a computer major in college. While I am on the other side of things, it is very similar to what the teachers and professors have to deal with, just at a less extreme level. Here are some tips to get you off the ground.

1. Stick to Fruits and Vegetables
Sticking to fruits and vegetables will ensure that you get the vitamins and minerals that you need while being a lower intake of fat. This will allow you to burn more fat than you take in.

2. Go for a Walk
Go for a walk during your lunch break. When you get a break or a lunch break, go for a walk and burn some calories off. We all know that even though it does burn small amounts of calories, it still adds up and can be beneficial.

3. Graze
I don't know if you have heard of grazing before. No, not the kind that cows do, although it can be similar. Grazing just means eating small amounts of food, a nibble here a nibble there, throughout your day to help space the calories out. Your students won't mind you grazing on a carrot stick or two.

4. Go to Bed Early
Going to bed early will ensure that your body is working efficiently and that you will be able to burn the calories. You may have to stay up late on some nights grading papers, but try to go to bed early.

Do Men Really Burn Fat Quicker than Women?

We have had a constant debate of trying to prove which sex burns more calories and fat quicker.
Where do you stand on the subject?
Do you think that women burn it quicker?
Let's look at a couple factors to see if we can prove once and for all which sex burns fat the quickest.

1. Testosterone
Testosterone is a chemical that aids in maximum body performance in men and women. Women have a minute percentage of testosterone in their body. Estrogen is the chemical that is found in women that allows for max performance. Testosterone has been proven to help the body grow quicker and stronger. Men have gobs of testosterone in their body when doing bodybuilding or working out. Men in turn build greater muscle mass and burn more fat in a shorter amount of time.

2. Body Fat Percentages
It is a fact that women are more overweight and have a greater percentage of body fat. Women have a greater deficit to overcome than men do. There are many factors that contribute to women having a greater body fat percentage. Whether this coincides with burning fat is unseen. Women tend to splurge more often than men do. I am not trying to sound prejudice at all. The fact is that women can not eat the same things as men can and expect not to gain large amounts of unhealthy weight.

3. Different Bodies
Another factor that you have to consider is that men and women have different bodies. Men have bodies that are built to build muscle, work, and go hard. Women have more delicate bodies that are built to bear children and do lighter work. I am not saying that all men and women are like these stereotypical examples, but, for the most part many people fit into these two examples. Men have the extreme advantage for burning more fat quicker than women as far as body types go.

I think that we can conclude that men really do burn fat quicker than women do. These are the hard facts that we are faced with every day. There are things that women can do to combat their larger fat deficits. If you want some tips then go to the blot post that is located below to get some tips.

9 Weight Loss Tips

I thought you guys would probably like to know that you aren't the only one that needs tips for weight loss.
I searched through the internet hundreds of times for weight loss tips.
I would like to share the weight loss tips that have personally helped me.
So, here we go!

1. Start Today Don't Start Tomorrow
Starting today instead of tomorrow gets you going on your weight loss instead of procrastinating.

2. Stick to Low Fat Foods
Sticking to low fat foods is pretty essential for weight loss. Eating fat while trying to lose fat is just stupid.

3. Eat Low Cal.
Eating lower calorie foods is also an integral part to weight loss. The calories that are extra are calories that keep you from losing weight. It takes 3,500 calories to burn 1 pound of fat.

4. Stop Lying to Yourself
Stop lying to yourself when it comes to foods that look good. Just because it looks good does not mean that it is good for you!

5. Don't Listen to Your Gut
When you listen to your gut, you will find that you eat a TON of food that is really not essential for daily living. Stick to drinking water when you get what you think is hunger pangs. They see if you are hungry after the water.

6. Beer...Extra Calories
Beer is extra calories that can be avoided by drinking water. I know that it may be hard to put the beer down. Just try to cut one or two out of your life a week to safe some calories.

7. Work Out
You can not lose weight when you don't work out! You can't expect your body to get rid of calories when you don't participate in the one thing that will make the calories and fat go away. Get going!

8. Run With a Friend
Running with a friend will help you to keep going when the going gets rough. That accountability partner is what will help you get through.

9. Push Harder
Push harder when you think you have nothing left. That is the one time when you will realize that adrenaline will kick in and enable you to go further than you thought you could!

Push-ups, the Long and Short

We have all read articles about weight loss and we often get bored of the same thing.
I am writing this blog post as an education of a weight loss exercise that will empower you to burn that stomach fat. So often we don't know how to work our stomach out. 
Obesity has plagued our nation as a whole, which has in turn led to health complications.
I really want you guys to read this and share it as it has been a mind blowing revelation that I've learned about.

In starting a workout regiment with a group of friends of mine, we started off by doing 40 push-ups in one sitting (one workout without rest) for 6 days a week. For a lot of people this would be hard and out of the question. We have since moved on to more repetitions and have moved to alternatives. The short of push-ups is that they are a good and short workout to do while not using much time or energy. Let's look at some methods and see what muscle groups they work.

1. Regular Push-ups
Regular push-ups are fantastic for working out your upper to mid chest, your shoulders, your abs, and your mid to lower back. Your shoulders will be the first muscle group that you will feel the burn in. You may not feel it in your abs until you get into the days of repetition. 

2. Decline Push-ups
By putting your feet higher than your arms, you put more pressure on your upper chest and shoulders. Push-ups burn more fat on your upper abs and chest. 

3. Incline Push-ups
Incline push-ups put more pressure on your lower part of your chest. If you want a chiseled out chest, then this one is the way to go. I have been doing push-ups with my group of friends and am seeing my chest chisel out after 10 weeks! 10 Short weeks and you can already begin to see the fat rip off and see some definition.

The regiment I would suggest is to do 15 repetitions of each of the three exercises above, in one sitting, 6 days a week. I have done this and my abs have been getting better defined as well and I have been gaining muscle while losing weight. 

***Extra Exercise
The Plank: The plank is the same position as the push-up, with the exception of holding it in the up position instead of pushing up and down. So, holding this plank for 1 minute at a time and doing 3 sets of these minute long sets at least once a week will boost your weight loss.

Feel the Burn!

It is that time of year when we are consuming sugar in all of our celebrations.
The new year brings so many things, and some of those things are detrimental to our weight loss.
It can be hard to feel the burn when you are working out in the winter. 
So, what are we to do? 
Here are three fat burning tips to really burn in the winter time.

1. Lay Off the Soda 

Stick with water or low calorie lemonade. Soda is packed full of sugar and calories. All that sugar lays right on your belly, especially when you aren't as active in winter. Supplementing lemonade will boost your metabolism with the citric acid, and water is calorie free.

2. Take A Run or Jog 

Running or jogging is very good in the winter time because your body doesn't break down as quick. You are going to break down eventually, but you can isolate your abs by running longer distances. If you are in a very rainy place consider a gym membership for a treadmill or use one of your own.

3. Take Up Strength Training

Muscle burns up to four times as many calories as fat does! When you build those muscles it requires more calories to upkeep them. Incorporate strength training 2-3 days a week. Eat a 500 less calories and begin building for max results on loosing weight.

10 Ways Stay at Home Moms Can Burn Calories

If you are a stay at home mom and need ideas for burning some calories, then this is the blog post for you.
This post can also be for the person that is a couch potato and can't seem to get up off the couch.
Admit it, you are a mom that stays home with the kids, or your husband works and you are busy like crazy, trying to get the kids everywhere, or going grocery shopping, fill in the blank.
We are all busy and need some ways to burn calories that are quick and easy.

1. Park Further Away
Park further away when you go shopping during the holiday season.
If you can stand to park further and walk around the mall, you can burn some good calories.
2. Do Some Chores
Doing chores can be hard on the body making it burn more calories.
Mopping, mowing lawns, raking leaves, gardening or even vacuuming can have their fat burning moments.
3. Walk Around the Block
Walking around the block can get the juices flowing.
Walking around a couple of blocks is even better, and depending on how much time you can do more.
4. Play Beach Volleyball
Playing beach volleyball can and will burn a TON of calories.
If you are in an area of the country where you can play some beach volleyball, I would suggest spiking a few.
5. Take the Stairs
If you go to a store or an office that has stairs or an elevator, take the stairs, you will be glad you did!
6. Increase Your Water Intake
Drinking water raises your metabolism, which means that your body will  be burning more calories than it was before.
It is a cheaper and more efficient way to burn calories.
7. Go To the Park With the Kids
Going to the park with your kids can be beneficial for burning calories because you can walk around the park while they play.
You could even play with them, if you are feeling up to it.
8. Go Shopping
You are going to have to do this anyway for grocery shopping, or going shopping for Christmas.
Going shopping can be bonkers this time of year, but is great for burning calories.
9. Buy a Treadmill
Running on the treadmill can be boring at times, but is great because you don't have to leave your house to run around town or go to the gym.
You can also monitor your calories burnt on most treadmills.
10. Get Boxing Gloves and a Punching Bag
If you are a more athletic woman that would enjoy punching a punching bag then you can burn a ridiculous amount of calories, just from punching a punching bag.

Extra: If you have a few extra bucks you can get a bike and go biking.
It burns off a good amount of calories and will boost metabolism.

Weight Loss Step 1 - Work Out Smarter

There are all of these people that work out so hard, but accomplish nothing.
You may be one of these people. Not to worry, we can fix that.
We are going to change the way you look at things.

1. Cardio
I'm sure that you have heard to do this before to lose weight.
Let's look at it through new eyes.
When working out cardio, you can work out on the treadmill.
The treadmill allows you to monitor your length of your run, calories burnt and heart rate.
Working out with sweats and a sweat shirt will boost the sweat and will burn of that obesity.

2. Compound Exercises
Working out with regular exercises only work on one body part at a time.
Compound exercises like deadlifts, pushups, and pullups are a few exercises that work on a few body parts at a time.

3. Walking, Jogging, or Running
Walking is great for burning calories, but jogging and running is better.
The body hits a certain rate when your body no longer feels much of anything, its called, "The Runner's High."
Your body gets an adrenaline rush and then you are able to run longer and harder.
Running burns 2-3 times as many calories as walking.
Jog or run for at least 45 minutes every other day at least three days a week and you will be on your way to killing obesity.
