Capsaicin, Weight Loss WONDER?

Have you ever eaten something spicy and then had heartburn afterwards? This is because the capsaicin that is found in peppers helps boost metabolism, curbs appetite and help your body burn fat. Recently I have found a combination that is a weight loss WONDER combination and you aren’t going to believe what the combination is! Turn the heat up on capsaicin and let’s get cooking! 


1. Capsaicin 

Capsaicin is the first part of the combination in this weight loss wonder. Capsaicin is in varying amounts in peppers that you can eat. Generally the more capsaicin, the spicier a peppery food is. Capsaicin helps reduce the intake of calories by speeding up the transport of food. We have two kinds of fat cells in our body, white fat that your body stores for another day to keep from starving and brown fat that the body uses as energy. Capsaicin helps the white fat act like brown fat in the body. 


2. Yogurt 

I have been eating yogurt by the large tub in conjunction with Tabasco green hot sauce in my mashed potatoes. The yogurt has billions of good probiotics that promote good gut and stomach health. If you get Greek yogurt it’s all the better on the diet. While I definitely don’t eat the Tabasco green hot sauce and yogurt together, I eat them in the same day. My body has felt more energetic and I have kept losing weight and maintaining the weight loss. 


3. How much capsaicin should I eat? 

I splash my green Tabasco hot sauce quite a few times in my two-three cups of mashed potatoes. 2.6 mg of capsaicin every 36-144 hours can help you CURB THE WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAU. I use about 1/4 of the bottle of Tabasco in my potatoes every day and it has been greatly boosting my weight loss naturally. 


4. How much yogurt should I eat? 

This one is personal preference although I shoot for around 1-3 cups of yogurt in a day. I eat the smooth strawberry Yoplait yogurt for a dessert and it’s addictive in flavor. Greek yogurt is a great lower sugar alternative for dieting and weight loss. Yogurt probiotic is great for gut biome support. 

I do hope that you have learned something about weight loss and a food combination that you can embrace and use in your own life. Peppers that have capsaicin and yogurt that has probiotics can and do boost weight loss. Plateaus will be a thing of the past if you use this combination in your own life. Sweet Alternatives to Candy

Halloween is coming up quickly and we all know that there is nothing more wonderful than the sweet taste of candy and sugar when it comes to Halloween. The problem with this holiday is that so many people go trick-or-treating and they get too much candy. The candy is not the only problem, the other problem is that we don't eat one piece of candy and be done. We eat handfuls of candy and leave the wrappers to be desired. What are the alternatives to candy? Let's get started on discussing the best alternatives to candy that you can eat and still remain on your diet during Halloween.


1. Craisins 
Craisins are sweet cranberries that taste like candy, but they boost your immune system with heavy amounts of antioxidants. Raisins are quite tasty, but I love the Craisins because they have a bitter tang to them that makes them delectably yummy. These are a great alternative to candy for Halloween.


2. Prunes
Prunes are the second sweet alternative to candy during the Halloween holiday. Prunes are dried plums that are chewy are sweet. They are naturally very sweet and have several vitamins and minerals that make these little trinkets very great. You can get cherry flavored ones and they also come in several different flavors.


3. Yogurt
Yogurt is a third alternative to candy during the Halloween season and they are generally very sweet in nature, both from the fruits that are normally in the yogurt to the added sugar. There are pro-biotics that lurk in the yogurt to give you an immune system boost that will make your body stronger with it.

5 Simple Ways to Tighten Your Core in 7 Days


I was sitting there one day trying to figure out how to tighten your core and how to do it as quick as I could. There are many ways to tighten your core, but I wanted to give you five of the best ones that I have found to work the best for me. We will do it in 7 days, but you have to be committed to eating right and working out every day. Implement these 5 ways to tighten your core for 7 days and you will tighten your core considerably. I have used these 5 ways in my life and have tightened my core immensely.


1. Plank

















The single greatest exercise for tightening your core has got to be the plank. I have used this exercise quite a bit. You may think it easy to hold a push-up position for a long amount of time while not letting your lower back sink, but it may prove more difficult than you think. I started at holding the plank for one minute and worked my way up from there. If holding it on your hands is too easy, simply rock down to your elbows. 


2. Drink


This may not be exactly what you were thinking of when first seeing the word, "drink." I have found that drinking 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in an 8 ounce glass of water is a hyper boost to your metabolism. Besides boosting the metabolism, the vinegar balances out the PH in your body to make it more alkaline. What does this mean for your weight loss? It means that you can tighten your core even more because your body is rid of the pain causing acid that sticks in your joints. 
3. Breathe


Breathing deeply and practicing your flexing will allow your stomach to get used to being hardened. If you flex in a mirror it will help you to visualize your breathing and flexing. Breathing properly adds another dimension to your core tightening and strengthening. When you breathe in deeply you flex your diaphragm and abs. Really feel the abs flex as you see them when you squeeze. Yoga is phenomenal when it comes to practicing your deep breathing.

4. Kettlebell



Kettle…what? Kettlebells and swinging a chunk of weight that is quite heavy will cause you to flex those abs and tighten that core. Grip that handle, keep your back straight, and swing that kettlebell. A tip that I found that helps is to flex the abs in order to get the bell to swing, don’t physically swing your arm. Its not an arm workout, its an abdomen workout.

5. Stop



Stop eating sugar! Sugar is the biggest fuel for fat and gaining a lot of weight. Once you completely cut the sugar, you cut the gut and tighten your core. Sugar is all bad and doesn’t present any good nutrition for your body. I stopped eating and drinking sugar and my weight began to go down. As I lost the weight my core tightened and my abs were uncovered under the layer of fat.

How Do You Break the Soda Addiction?

Have you ever just had a huge drink of fizzy, sugary, syrupy soda and it burns the back of your throat...and then you feel it in your stomach  that is hanging over your pants? Have you ever been in that predicament? If you have, you definitely know what it feels like to feel uncomfortably bloated, have your stomach churning and sloshing, have a big soda gut hanging over your pants, and just feel bad. If you are like me, you have felt some of these things. I had to do something. If I didn't I knew I would have a soda gut for a long time to come. I was in deep trouble. If you are too, then join me to break your soda addiction as I have broken mine!

1. Perspective
You have to look at soda as poison. Change your perspective. Did you know that sodas have several different chemicals in them that are used for cleaning, de-oxidizing, that there is enough syrup to choke a horse, sugar enough to send your body into shock, and enough acid to acid wash your favorite pair of jeans? Soda is just a poison that is putting so many toxins into your body.

2. Alternatives
Drink alternatives like there is no tomorrow! The only two alternatives that I have found for soda is iced tea lemonade and water. Drinking these two instead of soda will cut your gut and send your body into weight loss overdrive. These alternatives are life savers when it comes to craving soda and something sugary. If you learn to drink water you will find that it really is quite delicious and is phenomenal for you!

3. 19 Days
It takes someone 19 times of not doing it to break a habit. If you can last 19 days with me, I will promise you that you will break your soda habit and your body will detoxify itself to be able to function at a higher level. Your weight loss will be boosted and your body will feel completely different than it did when you were drinking soda. This one is probably the hardest to execute, but its the most rewarding!

Your body will be rejoicing because you have stopped drinking soda. Believe me when I say that it was no easy task to stop drinking soda. It is literally everywhere and it is pretty inescapable. EXTRA (READ THIS IF NOTHING ELSE!)
Try an experiment with me. Pour a glass of soda that you have sitting at home, or buy a cup of soda from McDonald's for a dollar. Next put that cup or glass of soda outside in the heat for a few days. Cover it up or leave the lid on it. After a few days go back to the undisturbed cup or glass of soda and it will virtually be a cup of syrup or really close to it. That is what you're putting in your body! It will be easy to cut soda now!

5 Motivational Tips to Crush Your Weight Loss!

Have you ever just felt like your are frazzled, or like you don't know what to do? You feel like there should be a magical feeling because of the topic of weight loss, but it's just not there. Have you ever lacked the drive or motivation to go work out, eat better, and do those things for proper and quick weight loss? If you answered yes to any of these questions or you just need some motivation, then look no further than here! We will give you 5 motivational tips to help you crush your weight loss!


1. Don't Give Up!
"It's hard to beat a person that never gives up!" Babe Ruth
If you have ever wanted to give up before in your life, then you know what its like to be in the seat of a failure or things being hard. Babe Ruth had a lot of success, but with that success came a lot of failure in order to get to the point of being one of the best players in baseball history. When you feel down and like you want to give up, remember who ever remembers the people that give up. No one ever does. Obesity and your weight loss can't win if you don't give up!


2. Fail Forward
"I've failed over and over and over again in my life...that's why I succeed!" Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan said that he has failed over and over and over again and that, that is the reason for his success. You see, if you fail and learn something from your failure, you fail forward. You apply to your life what you've learned and the same goes for weight loss. Find what doesn't work and find the one way that does. Don't stop until you perfect that one thing that works!


3. Stop Complaining
"Success trains, failure complains!"
Success trains and failure complains. If you want to succeed in your weight loss, stop complaining about how you look, how you want to look, or how someone else looks better than you. Go and train yourself instead, and you can reach those goals of looking better than those complaints that you would have otherwise had. Get going and stop complaining.


4. Act Like a Champion
"PrACTice like a champion."
Practice like a champion! If you want to be a champion of weight loss and you want that body that you have been dreaming of forever, then start acting and practicing to be like that body. Practice and practice some more, those things that get to your weight loss goals. Act like you have things together. I found that when i lost a lot of weight, I didn't take it seriously and I ended up gaining weight back because I didn't see myself as a skinnier person. Mindset is everything!


5. Be Consistent
"Success isn't always about greatness; its about consistency. Consistent hard work gains success, greatness will come." Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
Being successful isn't about sheer greatness, its about finding that one thing that works. Then, once you have done that, just perfect that and be consistent. If you consistently put out hard work, success will come naturally. If you are sporadic in your training and weight loss, then your success will be sporadic. Be consistent and your success will be consistent.

3 Foods that Slow Down Weight Loss!

If you are like me, you realize that there are some things that just aren't worth eating for your weight loss, even if they are good. We will discuss those foods and I will teach you all how to choose which foods are foods that you are not going to want to eat if you want to lose weight. These foods are foods that are going to want to be avoided. They will slow down your weight loss and may cripple you. Let's dive into these foods that will slow down your weight loss and gain some great information to help you explode into your weight loss!


1. Fruits
Sugary fruits can prove to be even more detrimental to weight loss than beneficial. Fruits are packed with sugar that is what we would call glucose. The glucose is then put into the bloodstream and is converted into fat. Stick with eating fruits like apples, bananas, and other lower sugar fruits. Fruit juice is a weight loss killer that will slow it down and will bring it to a halt. Fruit juice is just as bad as soda. Stick with your vegetables and good fruits and good old-fashioned water.


2. Cereal
There are a lot of different point-of-views that people have about cereal and whole grains. The way I see it is, eating fat doesn't make you fat. If whole grains are fattier grains than crushed grains or processed grains, it would prove to be healthier for your body. That's not the problem with cereal that we will discuss. The problem is that there is so much sugar in cereal nowadays that you have to eat cereal that is like dried cardboard in order to get any nutritional value. I would suggest eating a granola bar that has sugar and tastes sweet, but find one that has honey so that the sugar is more natural.


3. Processed
Processed foods are always going to be bad for you and are always going to slow down your weight loss. Processed foods are WAY too salty and have WAY too much sugar in them. Anything that is made in a tube and that is processed needs to be avoided. Processed foods are classified as foods that are the cheapest food in any grocery store, mainly because they have the least nutritional value for your body and weight loss.


Takeaway
There is a definite takeaway that I want men and women to understand. Not all foods are created equal! A bowl of cherries is not as good for you as an apple, candy-like cereal is not as good for you as toasted oats, and processed food is not as good for you as organic or non-processed food. This is a great tool to use if you want your weight loss to take off. If the food that you're trying to eat has the same calories, sugar, fat and salt as bad foods, then don't eat it! Do You Have Diabetes?

Did you know that anyone can have diabetes? You could have diabetes right now and not even know it. Today, I would like to teach you about how to know if you have diabetes. How do you know if you have diabetes or not? Did you know that you can be skinny and have diabetes? You can! We will go through some tell tale signs of diabetes and know when to go to your doctor to receive suggestions for how to cure diabetes.


1. Increase in Hunger
Diabetes is a disease that causes your body to work extra hard to fuel your body. Your blood sugar or the glucose in your blood runs too low to fuel your body. Your body will find that it is hungry a lot of the time, but the biggest aspect to this is if you are hungry after eating.


2. Fatigue
Increased fatigue and weakness is another big sign that you might have diabetes. If you reach the end of your energy earlier on in your day than you used to, you may be sleep deprived, but if you're not, then you may have diabetes because your body is running low on blood sugar and energy.


3. Rapid Weight Loss
This is a sure sign that you have diabetes or the possibility of diabetes, especially when you are eating like a cow and you are still losing weight. This should be the most apparent one and will be the one that is most visible. Your body is trying to produce energy from somewhere because it can not get energy from glucose in your blood stream. This is not the good kind of weight loss.


4. Increase in Thirst
Typically when you have diabetes, you will find that you will want to drink more and more. This is due to several factors. These include, eating more, your body not running as efficiently (the body is 75% water after all), and the body needing water to produce glucose.


What should I do if I have these symptoms?
You're sitting here and you're probably thinking, "well shoot, I may have diabetes!" I want all of us to stop and take a deep breath, breathe in, and breathe out. The first thing that you can do is make an appointment with your doctor to discuss the possibilities of you maybe having diabetes. The second thing would be to take a look at a diet plan. Drink Calories, Diet Killer

I bet you that you never thought that just drinking something would help you lose weight, right? Well, I would also say that you can lose even more weight by removing something from your diet. I'm going to keep it short and to the point. There is a reason that soda is the most popular beverage in the world today. We will take a look at why you should be looking at what you drink, as well as what you are eating.

1. Calories
When it comes to soft drinks or sugary drinks, the calories could be through the roof. According to Harvard University, "A typical 20-ounce soda contains 15 to 18 teaspoons of sugar and upwards of 240 calories. A 64-ounce fountain cola drink could have up to 700 calories." We face a growing problem with consuming too many calories in soda. 

2. Diet Killer, Obesity Feeder
The reason that drinking sugary drinks that have a lot of calories is that sugar converts directly to fat. Eating or drinking fat doesn't make you fat or overweight, eating or drinking sugary foods and drinks make you fat and overweight. Here is the evidence from Harvard University, "Two out of three adults and one out of three children in the United States are overweight or obese, and the nation spends an estimated $190 billion a year treating obesity-related health conditions. Rising consumption of sugary drinks has been a major contributor to the obesity epidemic. A typical 20-ounce soda contains 15 to 18 teaspoons of sugar and upwards of 240 calories. A 64-ounce fountain cola drink could have up to 700 calories. People who drink this “liquid candy” do not feel as full as if they had eaten the same calories from solid food and do not compensate by eating less."

3. What Can I Drink?
Water, drink just plain water! There are 0 calories, 0 grams of sugar, 0 fat, 0 everything! There are so many health benefits to drinking water, many of these include the facts that water is the key to life in the body and it promotes a healthier life. TIME magazine mentioned a study done that encapsulated this fact by asking 84 people to take part in the study for 12 weeks and they said this about the results, "The group that loaded up on water lost about three more pounds than the group that didn’t up their water intake. And the more they drank, the better the results; people who drank 16 ounces before every meal lost about 4.3 kg, or 9 pounds, over the course of the experiment. “That’s about what you get from going to Weight Watchers for 12 weeks,” Daley says. “That’s a real success.”"

To wrap things up, we can gain so many more benefits from drinking water and watching what we drink as well. Cutting these calories and filling up on water before meals can cause us to eat less without even trying. Why do we not utilize this trick more often? Star Wars Workout - May the Awakened Force be With You

With the new Star Wars movie set to break records in the box office at $300 million, we find ourselves wanting to workout like the famed Jedi in the Star Wars movies that we have grown to love over time! If you have run up against a wall in your working out, awaken the force in you, and become a Star Wars hero with this Star Wars Jedi workout. Find out how you can lose weight and fat by following and implementing this great workout to become like the Jedi that rule the Star Wars world!


















1. Legs
This great workout is mostly leg oriented and we find ourselves faced with another leg workout. The legs are the most overlooked body part group set. I have worked out my legs quite a bit and am happy to say that I have a good set of legs. Plyometrics are added very subtly to this workout as the leg exercises give you something more than just a burn in your legs. They will help you jump higher as well as burn fat.

2. Abs
Abs are the second most worked set of muscles in this workout. Abs are a very delicate set of muscles, but can be worked out quite well with this workout. These exercises typically will give you a good burn throughout your abdominal area. The side jackknives will need to be done at a slower pace because you can pull or separate the obliques from the ribs and it will cause lots of pain and discomfort.

All in all this in a really great workout that will help awaken the force and greatness in you. This is a true Jedi workout because it combines the abdominal power along with the combustibility of the legs to give you a good leg and jumping workout. This workout is not for the beginner unless you're going to take it very slow. Stretching is very vital to the well being and state of your muscles before, during, and after this workout. Three Tantalizing Thanksgiving Trimmings

Have you ever wondered, "How can I cut back on my Thanksgiving meal that I'm serving my family without cutting the flavor out?" I am here to tell you that we are going to have three fresh ways to cut back on your Thanksgiving meal without cutting the flavors out of your good tasting meal. Millions of people will eat a Thanksgiving meal this holiday season and we want you to enjoy bit of it without cutting on the deliciousness that is the famed best meal of the year! Let's take a look!

1. No Salt Butter
What with all of the salt on the turkey, in the dressing, and on the rolls, you will find yourself wanting to drink more and more. The more you drink the more bloated you will feel. I have done this all too often as salt is the culprit for more liquid consumption and retention. Cut back on the salt in the butter that you use to cook and butter your rolls with. This will help you lose weight and feel skinny!

2. New Recipes
Sometimes you just need to get some new recipes. If you have traditions that are in your family, you are just like my family. We make the same exact thing every year and we end up feeling so bad afterward because we don't change the recipe. Do something about that by changing the recipes to the classics to healthier recipes. Pinterest is a great place for recipes. Try something new or do something a different way that will make a difference in your weight loss.

3. Cut Sugar
Cutting down on the sugar by using half the sugar in pies, drinking a sparkling juice instead of soda, and sticking to yams without marshmallows are just a few of the ways that you can cut down on sugar. Cutting the sugar will help your body to digest easier and the sugar will not be stored as fat. I know that each of us likes something sweet to eat during the holidays, but if you can refrain from the sugar, you can save your diet and weight loss!

Can I Eat What I Want on Vacation and Still Lose Weight?

Isn't it a good question? Haven't you often wondered the same thing? Who wouldn't want to lose weight while still eating what they want on vacation only to lose weight? The truth is that we may have to slightly modify our diets or habits on vacation. I will give you some tips that will help you to eat what you want to while still losing some weight during your summer vacations. Let's get started today!

1. Limit Alcohol
The first tip that I have may only apply to select people, but it is a big trap for a good number of people. When we go on vacation we grab a beer, a shandy, or another mixed drink and we sit by the pool. We drink a drink or two at dinner and with the drinks previously in the day, we find ourselves splurging on calories and sugar. By limiting alcohol to one drink a day, you will save calories!

2. Limit Dessert 
Another calorie hole that we find that sinks us with our daily calories is the desserts that hotels or restaurants indulge us in. Desserts are high in sugar, fat, and calories. This tip applies to more of us because more people take part in a dessert of some kind after a meal or just for the fun of it. If we limit desserts that we eat, we can expect to cut calories and make it easier for our bodies to burn fat!

3. Smaller, Slower Bites
We as people that are overweight tend to eat big bites and we chew really fast. The next thing we know we have eaten a truckload of food, especially when we are on vacation. Vacation is where we don't care as much. By taking smaller, slower bites and making each one deliberate we will find our brains actually seeing what we are eating and it will trick our brains into thinking that we are full.

4. Don't Just Sit There!

I know that vacations are meant to be times where we just sit and relax, but there has to be some time to workout or get up and do some activities. If you can manage a few moderate activities that will burn some fat while you're on vacation it will help you lose weight and keep it off while allowing you to eat what you want. Don't just sit there, get up!

5. Pack Good Snacks
Some of you just gave out a big sigh because you knew that this tip was coming eventually. Packing good snacks that you can eat instead of getting all of the junk food that everyone tries to feed you will be calorie saving and you will be able to lose weight because your not pigging out. Fruits and dried fruit and nuts are great choices for good snacks. Leave the chips and soda behind to lose weight!

6. Plan Activities Within Walking Distance
If you can plan activities to do within walking distance, I would suggest doing that and walking to where you need to go. You will save money on gas, you will burn off calories and weight, and you will feel good during your vacation. I've done this before and its not the most comfortable or relaxing way to vacation, but it will keep you in shape, get you in shape, or give you a good workout.

7. Focus on What You're Doing
Giving greater focus to what you're doing when you eat, what you eat, when you eat, and how and what you do to exercise or workout will give you a psychological edge that not many people have when their on vacation. This really is a common sense tip. Pay attention to what you're doing! Don't be stupid and think, "I'm on vacation, I'm going to do what I want!" Focus and lose weight!

Weight Loss Supplements...Good or Bad?

How many times have we heard about this new weight loss pill or supplement coming out into our local stores? How many more pills, miracle drugs, or weight loss supplements are they going to come out with before these companies understand what they do to our bodies? We are constantly bombarded with weight loss supplements that promise us certain benefits. The disappointing thing about them is that they don't always accomplish the benefits that they set out to accomplish. So, are weight loss supplements good or are they bad? We will decide whether they are good or bad after I break them down before your very eyes.

1. Broken Promises
Have you ever seen a little kid have a broken heart after a parent has broken a promise that they had promised them? They are literally devastated! How bad would you feel if a weight loss supplement promised to get rid of cellulite, get rid of hip and thigh fat, help you to loose your muffin top, and help you to get a beach body; and then after taking the supplement for the prescribed time and nothing has changed about your body? I would feel like beating up the makers of that supplement and I would feel horrible about myself! Supplements offer broken promises.

2. Great Benefits, Not Enough Progress
This point might tie in with the last one with the difference being that you may get some good effects or progress, but it may not give you a whole lot of the good benefits that the supplement promises. Sometimes you may get good beneficial progress and not enough progress in helping your overall weight loss progress. The point that I'm trying to make is that we can not have our cake and eat it too. You will either get good benefits and no progress, or you will get no benefits and great progress. You will rarely to never get them both at the same time.

3. New Fashioned Supplements Vs. Old Fashioned Weight Loss

New Fashioned Supplements
-Spotty results
-Benefits are outweighed by side effects
-Very costly

Old Fashioned Weight Loss
-Results are sure
-Benefits are shown and known to outweigh side effects
-Simple and cost effective

I think that we can see a pattern in these three points.Weight loss supplements are just not worth messing with. I have tried some weight loss supplements and the side effects plague me every time I use them. I don't get the results and good benefits that the supplement promises. I feel taken advantage of too because the supplement was relatively costly to my wallet! Besides all of the points I made in the above post, there is a factor that we haven't even talked about. The factor is that supplements are bad for your body, even the good ones. They are wrapped in good intentions, but they are all bad for you guys. Stick to the old fashioned weight loss or the ETL Diet that we have given you!

4th of July Edition


Steaks, sausages, beer, ice cold watermelon and explosive fireworks, coupled with overeating during the Independence Day of the United States of America! We eat a lot of great tasting foods during the holidays and the 4th of July is no exception. What are we supposed to do when it comes time for the festivities and your family members come out with candy, cookies, and other high fat and sugar foods? We will discuss what we are supposed to do in this special 4th of July Edition.



1. Moderation
"Everything in moderation," is a phrase that I have always lived by. It means that we are supposed to eat a little bit of candy, not the whole bag. All too many people slam down a whole pack of licorice without another thought as to what it is doing to their body. Cancer cells live off of sugar and it is in everything. I implore you and encourage you to use moderation and to use common sense when it comes to eating this weekend!

2. Evade
Evade sugar as if it were the very thing that you were going to die from. If you follow the ETL Diet that I have outlined, it is based off of having enough discipline to see that sugar and junk food is death or poison. Evasion is done in the fastest and swiftest way possible. Doing so doesn't leave time to look back, it just powers ahead to strive for something better.

3. Eat 
Eat what is good like fruits and vegetables and nuts. Eating what is good will not allow your body to think about eating what is bad. Fill up on as many fruits and vegetables as you can. Eating a lot of barbecue, such as meats and beans and other good foods like that is perfectly fine to eat, but stay away from the fatty garlic breads and white breads. I have found that it is very hard to stay away from junk food, but its easy to not eat it if you think of it as poison.

4. Limit
Limit your alcoholic drinks to one or two a day. If you are normally someone that drinks 4-6 beers in a day I would encourage you to limit it. Beer is extremely sugary and has definite effects of slowing down your metabolism way below where it needs to be. When you drink alcoholic drinks your body craves food to eat and it causes you to overeat even more than you normally would.

5. Drink 
Drink a LOT of water. Drinking 6-8 glasses a day allows your body to feel full, it keeps you from overeating, and your body will be fully hydrated. Water is the best beverage to drink during your 4th of July parties and celebrations. Drinking alcohol can severely dehydrate you, even to the point of dying if you are out in the sun for long amounts of time.

Be careful around fireworks and don't drink and drive! This is a very joyous and busy time. Be safe during your travels and be wise. Use your brain when it comes to eating certain foods and don't eat junk. Garbage in, garbage out! If you put in junk foods, candies, and sugary drinks and foods, you will find that you may gain weight over the celebration weekend. A good many people will eat too much and drink too much, but you can and will lose weight and stay on track!
