Gain Immunity and Lose Weight with These 7 Tips

How many of you guys have been sick with a cold or flu and your diet and weight loss seems to grind to a halt? Do you struggle with remaining healthy? If you're like me, then you are someone that finds it hard to be sick and lose weight at the same time. Today I wanted to write a blog post about how important it is to remain healthy in order to lose weight. We will give you some tips on how to remain healthy in order to lose weight in this cold and flu season. It's very depressing to me because I was getting back to my weight loss and then I got sick again. I've been struggling with being sick for about a month. It really hinders your weight loss. Let's beat it!

1. Wash Your Hands
This tip may be an oxi-moron and is one of the oldest tips in the book, but its effective! By washing your hands for more than 30 seconds, with hot water and soap, you destroy and eliminate most of the germs on your hands.

2. Stop Chewing Your Nails
If you are someone that chews on your nails, you are someone that is very vulnerable for getting sick, even above those people that don't wash their hands as much. Your fingernails are crevices that are filled with bacteria and flu and cold germs.

3. Drink Vitamin C
By drinking vitamin C or taking vitamins as a supplement in your diet, you can boost your immunity and keep your body from getting the cold and flu. Vitamins can be found in fruits, vegetables, supplements, and the antibodies in yogurt and iced tea are great for giving your body a fighting chance.

4. Stop Touching Your Face
I couldn't believe how important this tip was in my own life. I didn't think that I touched my face that much, but I do. When you touch your nose, mouth, and even your eyes with dirty hands, you will find yourself getting sick or starting to feel bad.

5. Stay Away From Sugar
Sugar is a fuel for bacteria and germs because sugar lowers your immune system and makes it weaker. The reason is because your heartbeat works harder when you eat sugar and your body tires out quicker.

6. Go to Bed
Your body burns a candle when you are up and about. When you wake up early and go to bed late, you force your body to work and stay up on low fuel. You body utilizes all strength and energy to staying awake instead of giving some of it to your immune system. I would suggest getting 8-12 hours of sleep per night in order to get adequate rest.

7. Drink Water
By drinking water, you allow your body to run more efficiently. Water is like a fuel source for your body that becomes a harder to come by because we drink less during the winter and spring time because we don't sweat much. Drinking water purges the body of impurities and helps you to utilize more energy.

Implement these tips to remain healthy and lose weight. The cold and flu season is fully underway and we need to help our bodies combat colds and flus. Dieting and weight loss is really hard during the winter and spring months, but tips make it easier to stay healthy and remain strong during your weight loss and dieting. Comment and share your tips! Please share these tips with your family and friends! Thanks!

This Diet By Far the Best! Living Clean Diet

This is the easiest diet that has ever been and, dare I say it, the best! Many people have created diets such as the vegetarian diet, or the caveman diet to really live clean in your diet. The thing that all these diets lack is the fact that it is imbalanced. What I mean is that vegetarian is all fruits and vegetables or all meat. The Living Clean Diet takes on a new challenge of balancing it out. We will look into a new diet that will jump start us into a a new era on this blog. We are going to delve off into this diet and get back to weight loss. I ask that you give me a chance to help you, that you read these blog posts, and that you share them with your friends.

1. Healthy In, Healthy Out
I'm sure you guys have heard the expression, "garbage in, garbage out" before. We are going to get into the healthy in, health out kind of thinking. When you put healthy foods in, you will get health effects and healthy weight loss out. If you put in fruits or vegetables in, you will feel better and get easier weight loss. If you put in pizza, candy, and junk food in, you will get bad feelings and junky feelings out of it.

2. Poison
When you see something like ice cream or that soda in the store, before you buy it, think of it as poison for your body. That is exactly what it is! I know that it sounds relatively dumb or a bit simple, but it really is. I once had a doctor that taught me this concept. I applied it to my life and weight loss. The pounds were peeling off like a toasty sunburn gone bad. I was losing weight in a hurry and it was easy. I gained 10 pounds of muscle by working out doing bodybuilding, and I was cutting a lot of fat weight.

3. Smarter...Not Harder!
Work out smarter not harder! The majority of people work out WAY too hard. If you want to work out to lose weight, do bodybuilding. Instead of spreading out the sets and resting in between, do them together. Do 4-5 sets of exercises for your arms on one day altogether instead of spreading them out. When you do this you put more stress on your muscles and it causes them to burn more fat to fuel the muscle. These are called Monster Sets. (4-5 sets of 8-10 repetitions of each exercise.) If you want something easier, do some High Intensity Interval Training, or aerobics are good as well.

4. Balance
Balance out your diet. Eat enough fruits and vegetables while eating some meat to get your protein for the day. By doing this you get enough vitamins, minerals, and protein to run your growing muscles and your body in general. Remember, if it is bad for you, it is poison! The Living Clean Diet works off of the concept of, "things that will help you to live clean." By balancing this diet out, you get a little bit of everything.

5. Drink More
What I mean when I say, "drink more" is not what you all are thinking. I don't mean, "drink more alcohol and mixed drinks." I mean, "drink more water." Your muscles that burn the fat are 80% water. Water is one of the fuels that keeps your muscles going. In addition to this, your body is 70% water in and of itself. When you drink soda, your body is depleted of nutrition and water. Replace the soda, sugary juices, and alcohol with water. You can cut your weight even quicker by doing this.

I hope that you all are considering this diet as a credible diet that will help you lose some weight. I have been on this diet and I have felt really good. I keep the sweets to an all time low for a treat and I have felt so much better. I feel like I have built some really good diets for you guys, but this is probably the best one. It is for anyone and is the easiest diet in the world to do. The reason for this is the fact that if the food is good for you, then you eat it. If it's not, then you don't. It's that easy!

Be Lean, Be Healthy?

I thought that you said that eating fat doesn't make you fat. It really doesn't make you fat. It does contribute, sure, but it is not the main reason that we gain weight from fat. Leaner meats, such as fish, lean beef, turkey, and chicken are all great sources of protein that is used for building muscle. If leaner meats are that beneficial why do I still eat fatty pork or fatty beef? I have been asking this same question for years. America seems to gravitate to the beef and the pork. The holidays are an exception because the majority of Americans eat turkey instead of ham or chicken. Let's look at the benefits of eating leaner meats.

1. Metabolism Boosting B Vitamins
Leaner meats are packed with more metabolism boosting B vitamins. These vitamins get your stomach going and your food passes through your body quicker, making it prime for burning the fat instead of storing it.

2. Zinc...Immunity?
Zinc is an essential mineral that is found in leaner meats. Zinc helps your immune system to stay healthy and strong. This in turn allows you to push toward your weight loss goals even harder.

3. Heart Healthy?
Are you saying that leaner meats is more heart healthy? Yes, I am! Leaner meats contain less fat that can get clogged in your heart valves. The fat that we eat converts and some of it goes to our hearts. This is one major cause for heart attacks.

4. Lower Carbs
Lean meats are lower in carbs than most other meats. Why is that? It is due to the fact that they contain less fat and more good and wholesome contents. The fat is what causes cholesterol and is a great and devious resource of carbs.

Now that we have looked at the benefits of lean meats, go out and eat a chicken salad. Incorporate at least one meal of lean meat into your diet for a greater weight loss gain. You will than me now rather than later!
