Star Wars Workout - May the Awakened Force be With You

With the new Star Wars movie set to break records in the box office at $300 million, we find ourselves wanting to workout like the famed Jedi in the Star Wars movies that we have grown to love over time! If you have run up against a wall in your working out, awaken the force in you, and become a Star Wars hero with this Star Wars Jedi workout. Find out how you can lose weight and fat by following and implementing this great workout to become like the Jedi that rule the Star Wars world!

1. Legs
This great workout is mostly leg oriented and we find ourselves faced with another leg workout. The legs are the most overlooked body part group set. I have worked out my legs quite a bit and am happy to say that I have a good set of legs. Plyometrics are added very subtly to this workout as the leg exercises give you something more than just a burn in your legs. They will help you jump higher as well as burn fat.

2. Abs
Abs are the second most worked set of muscles in this workout. Abs are a very delicate set of muscles, but can be worked out quite well with this workout. These exercises typically will give you a good burn throughout your abdominal area. The side jackknives will need to be done at a slower pace because you can pull or separate the obliques from the ribs and it will cause lots of pain and discomfort.

All in all this in a really great workout that will help awaken the force and greatness in you. This is a true Jedi workout because it combines the abdominal power along with the combustibility of the legs to give you a good leg and jumping workout. This workout is not for the beginner unless you're going to take it very slow. Stretching is very vital to the well being and state of your muscles before, during, and after this workout. Join the Jedi rankings with this workout and awaken the force in you!

Can I Eat What I Want on Vacation and Still Lose Weight?

Isn't it a good question? Haven't you often wondered the same thing? Who wouldn't want to lose weight while still eating what they want on vacation only to lose weight? The truth is that we may have to slightly modify our diets or habits on vacation. I will give you some tips that will help you to eat what you want to while still losing some weight during your summer vacations. Let's get started today!

1. Limit Alcohol
The first tip that I have may only apply to select people, but it is a big trap for a good number of people. When we go on vacation we grab a beer, a shandy, or another mixed drink and we sit by the pool. We drink a drink or two at dinner and with the drinks previously in the day, we find ourselves splurging on calories and sugar. By limiting alcohol to one drink a day, you will save calories!

2. Limit Dessert
Another calorie hole that we find that sinks us with our daily calories is the desserts that hotels or restaurants indulge us in. Desserts are high in sugar, fat, and calories. This tip applies to more of us because more people take part in a dessert of some kind after a meal or just for the fun of it. If we limit desserts that we eat, we can expect to cut calories and make it easier for our bodies to burn fat!

OUR WEIGHT LOSS E-BOOK IS OUT! CLICK HERE TO GET IT!

3. Smaller, Slower Bites
We as people that are overweight tend to eat big bites and we chew really fast. The next thing we know we have eaten a truckload of food, especially when we are on vacation. Vacation is where we don't care as much. By taking smaller, slower bites and making each one deliberate we will find our brains actually seeing what we are eating and it will trick our brains into thinking that we are full.

4. Don't Just Sit There!

I know that vacations are meant to be times where we just sit and relax, but there has to be some time to workout or get up and do some activities. If you can manage a few moderate activities that will burn some fat while you're on vacation it will help you lose weight and keep it off while allowing you to eat what you want. Don't just sit there, get up!

IMAGINE THAT YOU CAN GET A WHOLE WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM FOR THE PRICE OF A CUP OF COFFEE! OUR E-BOOK IS HERE!

5. Pack Good Snacks
Some of you just gave out a big sigh because you knew that this tip was coming eventually. Packing good snacks that you can eat instead of getting all of the junk food that everyone tries to feed you will be calorie saving and you will be able to lose weight because your not pigging out. Fruits and dried fruit and nuts are great choices for good snacks. Leave the chips and soda behind to lose weight!

6. Plan Activities Within Walking Distance
If you can plan activities to do within walking distance, I would suggest doing that and walking to where you need to go. You will save money on gas, you will burn off calories and weight, and you will feel good during your vacation. I've done this before and its not the most comfortable or relaxing way to vacation, but it will keep you in shape, get you in shape, or give you a good workout.

7. Focus on What You're Doing
Giving greater focus to what you're doing when you eat, what you eat, when you eat, and how and what you do to exercise or workout will give you a psychological edge that not many people have when their on vacation. This really is a common sense tip. Pay attention to what you're doing! Don't be stupid and think, "I'm on vacation, I'm going to do what I want!" Focus and lose weight!

LIKE READING? NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT? CLICK HERE FOR OUR E-BOOK!

If you implement these 7 tips for eating what you want and losing weight on vacation, you can indeed lose weight while you're on vacation. Not all of these tips are necessarily new. They will certainly help you to lose weight while you are on vacation. I have seen these tips work. I can guarantee that if nothing else you will give yourself a greater chance to lose weight by following these tips.

How to Lose Weight: 3 Proven Strategies

Have you ever been stuck in a rut on how to lose weight? Have you ever been lacking in real proven strategies for losing weight? If you are a beginner or answered yes to the above questions, then you are not alone. There is a good number of people in our world that is not educated in how to lose weight. So, in this blog post I really want to give you guys three proven strategies for how to lose weight. At the end of today, you will have a strategy that you can implement in your own life for weight loss!

1. Lighter, Longer, Legitimate!

Targeted Class: Best for older men and women and those with bad joints.

The first strategy that I want to talk about will take the least amount of effort and is probably the easiest one to execute. This strategy is based on the concept of working out at a low to medium impact effort and eating a third of the normal calories that the average person eats in a day. Because it is a low to medium impact workout effort, we find ourselves losing weight slower, but the slower we lose weight the longer it will stay off. This is a highly legitimate and trustworthy strategy for losing weight.

2. Middle of the Road and Intermediate
Targeted Class: Best for most people and a bit of a one-size-fits-most.

The second strategy is the best for most people. It is a one-size-fits-most type of a strategy. I have laid out a diet, the ETL Diet that goes with this strategy. I find that working out with this strategy entails working out with medium impact to light-heavy impact, and eating with a diet that cuts over half of the calories of an average person. The ETL Diet that we are basing our e-book off of goes well with this strategy because it allows you to lose more weight because you are eating extremely clean and your body will feel great! I have taken part in the majority of my weight loss time in this strategy and I see an average of 3-5 pounds being burned in a week and my body doesn't hurt so bad.

3. Heavy, Athletic, Superhero-esque
Targeted Class: Best for those that are strong willed, spirited, young, athletic and strong.

The last strategy that I will talk about for today is that of a heavy, athletic, and superhero-like weight loss strategy. I have proven that this one works, but it is one of the hardest, discipline driven, and hearty strategies for losing weight. It is based upon working out with high to very high impact and eating about half of the calories of the average person. If you can do this one, you will burn off huge amounts of fat and will feel very accomplished after conquering it. This strategy is for those that are not grossly obese due to the fact that those that are grossly obese can't workout very hard. Gook luck if you are someone that has a lot of discipline for this heavy strategy!

I would encourage you guys to chose one of these strategies to workout with. The second strategy is the best one and you get a free diet that we have already written out and laid out for you guys. The second one is one that disciplined and committed people can do. A lot of people try to do the first one and they don't get good results. If you try to take the second strategy, you will find it an accomplishment and you will feel good about your new body.

Feel free to share this blog post and comment at the bottom! If you comment, I will answer and help any ways I can!

4th of July Edition

Steaks, sausages, beer, ice cold watermelon and explosive fireworks, coupled with overeating during the Independence Day of the United States of America! We eat a lot of great tasting foods during the holidays and the 4th of July is no exception. What are we supposed to do when it comes time for the festivities and your family members come out with candy, cookies, and other high fat and sugar foods? We will discuss what we are supposed to do in this special 4th of July Edition.

1. Moderation
"Everything in moderation," is a phrase that I have always lived by. It means that we are supposed to eat a little bit of candy, not the whole bag. All too many people slam down a whole pack of licorice without another thought as to what it is doing to their body. Cancer cells live off of sugar and it is in everything. I implore you and encourage you to use moderation and to use common sense when it comes to eating this weekend!

2. Evade
Evade sugar as if it were the very thing that you were going to die from. If you follow the ETL Diet that I have outlined, it is based off of having enough discipline to see that sugar and junk food is death or poison. Evasion is done in the fastest and swiftest way possible. Doing so doesn't leave time to look back, it just powers ahead to strive for something better.

3. Eat
Eat what is good like fruits and vegetables and nuts. Eating what is good will not allow your body to think about eating what is bad. Fill up on as many fruits and vegetables as you can. Eating a lot of barbecue, such as meats and beans and other good foods like that is perfectly fine to eat, but stay away from the fatty garlic breads and white breads. I have found that it is very hard to stay away from junk food, but its easy to not eat it if you think of it as poison.

4. Limit
Limit your alcoholic drinks to one or two a day. If you are normally someone that drinks 4-6 beers in a day I would encourage you to limit it. Beer is extremely sugary and has definite effects of slowing down your metabolism way below where it needs to be. When you drink alcoholic drinks your body craves food to eat and it causes you to overeat even more than you normally would.

5. Drink
Drink a LOT of water. Drinking 6-8 glasses a day allows your body to feel full, it keeps you from overeating, and your body will be fully hydrated. Water is the best beverage to drink during your 4th of July parties and celebrations. Drinking alcohol can severely dehydrate you, even to the point of dying if you are out in the sun for long amounts of time.

Be careful around fireworks and don't drink and drive! This is a very joyous and busy time. Be safe during your travels and be wise. Use your brain when it comes to eating certain foods and don't eat junk. Garbage in, garbage out! If you put in junk foods, candies, and sugary drinks and foods, you will find that you may gain weight over the celebration weekend. A good many people will eat too much and drink too much, but you can and will lose weight and stay on track!

Happy 4th of July to my American readers!

5 Reasons We Failed to Lose Weight in 2014

Have you ever thought that, "in order to fix a problem, you need to admit that you have a problem?" I think that neglect and condescending thoughts can kill your weight loss and dieting. We keep expecting results and we keep doing the same things that brought us no results the year before. I feel like we need to evaluate 5 reasons we failed to lose weight in 2014, and then I will go over how we can fix these 5 things in the next blog post. A lot of us create the equation of insanity, or, "doing the same thing and expecting different results." Let's break down these 5 reasons and get started!

1. We Didn't Eating Appropriately
The first reason that we didn't lose weight is because we didn't appropriately to our weight loss program or diet. We ate whatever we wanted and we sit there and say, "I didn't lose weight!" When you eat white breads instead of wheat, you pack on weight whether you eat less or not. These are the facts. We didn't eat properly.

2. We Retained Too Much Water
I think that we normally think of weight that we lose as muffin top, jiggling, and bulging fat. This is not the only form of weight that we lose. Drinking water is essential for weight loss and dieting, but when we eat overly salty foods, it makes our body retain water all the easier. Water weighs a good bit. We eat TV dinners, drink a ton of water, and then it sticks.

3. We Ate Mindlessly
We ate too much food when we were mindless. What do I mean? I mean that we ate when we were bored, not when we were hungry. This is what happens when we stay close to the house after work or school. We get home from school and we immediately sit down and pig out. We don't eat because we're hungry. Mindless eating is empty eating!

4. We Ate Too Much Due to Stress
This is one that we can all relate too. We worry about tests at school or at work, worry about our family or kids, we worry about stuff in our world, the list goes on and on. When we sit down after work and we eat a whole pint of ice cream and then regret it later on, we put ourselves into weight gain overdrive. Stress is the #1 reason that people gain weight instead of losing it.

5. We Didn't Work Out Correctly
There is a right and wrong way to work out? There certainly is! Our last reason that we didn't lose weight in 2014 is that we didn't work out correctly. We either didn't work out enough or we didn't do the right exercises for burn fat and weight. All too often I hear people saying that they are playing sports, but they don't do any cardio.

Altogether, I think that we will be able to fix these 5 reasons that we didn't lose weight in 2014 and we will give you some tips and tools on how to fix these mistakes. Let's not have a repeat year because we were negligent. Let's fix these problems, gain a new mindset, and boost our weight loss this year, and conquer those weight loss goals. I believe that you guys can do this! Share these reasons with family and friends. Feel free to comment at the bottom and share your opinion!

Gain Immunity and Lose Weight with These 7 Tips

How many of you guys have been sick with a cold or flu and your diet and weight loss seems to grind to a halt? Do you struggle with remaining healthy? If you're like me, then you are someone that finds it hard to be sick and lose weight at the same time. Today I wanted to write a blog post about how important it is to remain healthy in order to lose weight. We will give you some tips on how to remain healthy in order to lose weight in this cold and flu season. It's very depressing to me because I was getting back to my weight loss and then I got sick again. I've been struggling with being sick for about a month. It really hinders your weight loss. Let's beat it!

1. Wash Your Hands
This tip may be an oxi-moron and is one of the oldest tips in the book, but its effective! By washing your hands for more than 30 seconds, with hot water and soap, you destroy and eliminate most of the germs on your hands.

2. Stop Chewing Your Nails
If you are someone that chews on your nails, you are someone that is very vulnerable for getting sick, even above those people that don't wash their hands as much. Your fingernails are crevices that are filled with bacteria and flu and cold germs.

3. Drink Vitamin C
By drinking vitamin C or taking vitamins as a supplement in your diet, you can boost your immunity and keep your body from getting the cold and flu. Vitamins can be found in fruits, vegetables, supplements, and the antibodies in yogurt and iced tea are great for giving your body a fighting chance.

4. Stop Touching Your Face
I couldn't believe how important this tip was in my own life. I didn't think that I touched my face that much, but I do. When you touch your nose, mouth, and even your eyes with dirty hands, you will find yourself getting sick or starting to feel bad.

5. Stay Away From Sugar
Sugar is a fuel for bacteria and germs because sugar lowers your immune system and makes it weaker. The reason is because your heartbeat works harder when you eat sugar and your body tires out quicker.

6. Go to Bed
Your body burns a candle when you are up and about. When you wake up early and go to bed late, you force your body to work and stay up on low fuel. You body utilizes all strength and energy to staying awake instead of giving some of it to your immune system. I would suggest getting 8-12 hours of sleep per night in order to get adequate rest.

7. Drink Water
By drinking water, you allow your body to run more efficiently. Water is like a fuel source for your body that becomes a harder to come by because we drink less during the winter and spring time because we don't sweat much. Drinking water purges the body of impurities and helps you to utilize more energy.

Implement these tips to remain healthy and lose weight. The cold and flu season is fully underway and we need to help our bodies combat colds and flus. Dieting and weight loss is really hard during the winter and spring months, but tips make it easier to stay healthy and remain strong during your weight loss and dieting. Comment and share your tips! Please share these tips with your family and friends! Thanks!

Why Should I Lose Weight?

Your sitting there among your friends and several of them appear to be either hungry from dieting and trying to lose weight, or they are exhausted from working out trying to lose weight. I'm going to play devil's advocate today and ask, "Why?" "Why should I lose weight?" I mean, if it's so incredibly hard to diet and lose weight, why should you even do it? If you have never asked yourself this question, now is the time to do do it. Why should you lose weight if you have never done or thought about it before? Let's get into why you should lose weight!

1. You Will Feel Better
You will feel considerably and exceedingly better if you were to lose weight and be at a healthy weight. Millions of overweight people suffer from broken down feet, shin splints, bouncing fat, overhanging fat rolls, high blood pressure, and lots of other things. Hundreds of thousands of people die each year from obese related diseases and they just don't feel good. They appear to look like they are living life to the fullest, eating what they want, and doing no exercising, but they don't feel good.

2. People Will Notice You More
For lots of us, we want to recognized more and we want to be more popular, but we find that being overweight causes people to misjudge us. The people that get bullied are the overweight people. The people that are outcast or ignored are the overweight, obese people. If you were to take up the Batman Workout that we talked about in the last post, and you executed it 3-4 days a week, you would lose weight and feel better about yourself. This, in turn, helps others to feel better about you as well!

3. You Accomplish Your New Year's Resolution!
Let's be bluntly honest with ourselves, the large majority of people make a New Years resolution to lose weight or get a ripped body. If you are one of the hundreds of thousands and millions of people that make this New Year's resolution, then you can rest assured that this is a great reason in and of itself for you to lose weight. Check out our post from last year on making New Year's resolutions and accomplishing them!

4. Smaller Clothes
If you lose weight, you will be able to wear smaller clothes! I know that this is a simple concept that we take for granted, but it will literally allow you to wear 2-4 sizes smaller clothes-wise. You may find that smaller clothes instead of those ugly sweats and sweatshirts will be better looking, confidence raising, clothes that are easy to wear. Some of you may have seen the TLC show What Not To Wear. These people get a makeover on their clothes and facial features. While it isn't losing weight for most of them, they still look as though they have a new life after changing just their clothes! I'm urging you to lose the weight, and get better clothes!

5. More Energy
If you were to lose weight you would have more energy for more activities in your day. You would not believe the amount of energy that you would have if you would lose weight and drink enough water. The energy would be gushing out of you in large amounts. "I don't want any more energy," said no one ever! You will be able to have more energy without having to drink an energy drink, it will be all natural and you will feel better. It may take a bit getting used to!

For all of these very logical and profitable reasons, you should lose weight! It will be highly profitable and will allow you a new lease on life that will free you to begin a new life. People will look at you differently after your weight loss. Accomplishing a New Year's resolution is another excellent reason that stands alone. If you aren't convinced that weight loss is right for you, no one is going to force you to lose weight. Do it if you want to, but you are missing out on a crazy good life of not carrying around extra weight!

Can You Lose Weight Through Bodybuilding?

There has been a lot of speculation and a lot of questions asked by a lot of professionals, dieters, and weight loss advocates on the topic of if you can lose weight through bodybuilding. It is a good question that we should look at because there are a lot of people taking part in bodybuilding. Weightlifting is a topic that coincides with bodybuilding so we will combine the two. The difference is that bodybuilding is normally competitive with other people and competitions. Weightlifting is an activity that Joe at the gym can take part in. Let's take a look at if bodybuilding can help you lose weight or if you should do bodybuilding for weight loss.

Are you obese and over weight? You are at risk for obesity stricken diseases! Get started on your weight loss now!

1. Building Muscle
One problem with building muscle while you are losing weight is that the muscle will make the fat on top of it look for pronounced. In other words, you build the muscle and grow the fat. Yes, you can build an intense amount of weight off of getting rid of fat, but in the end muscle weighs more than fat. If you are going to plan on doing bodybuilding for a LONG term then you could lose weight on doing it. If you are going to do it short term, you may find yourself gaining more weight than you wanted to without losing the fat.

2. Range of Motion
If you are adding muscle that will make your fat more pronounced it may become hard to move, even though you ARE building muscle. The muscle it still covered in layers of fat that will hinder your movement. How do you figure out how much fat you have? One way is to flex your whole upper body, including your abs, and push up on your toes, then let yourself fall on your heals. If you do this in front of a mirror you can see which parts jiggle. For me, I have nothing jiggle on the top half of my abs, but the bottom half I have a bit that jiggles. It is sickening and discouraging to see if you are going for weight loss, but can be encouraging to see as you can see where you need to work out to lose the weight.

3. Leanness and Results
If you stick to working out and working out hard in your bodybuilding you can expect to be lean and lose weight. I have seen thousands of stories where people go on bodybuilding programs only to have a lean and yoked up body afterward. The problem is that weight loss this way takes a LOT longer. If you have the patience to wait for that beach body you have always wanted, then bodybuilding is for you.

Many of the professionals, professional trainers, etc., say that you can't lose weight because they are thinking about the discipline that the average person has. The average person may not have enough discipline to do bodybuilding. It takes a strong will and the will of a strong person to do bodybuilding. It takes quite a while to see the results as they are long term investments. Yes, you can definitely lose weight and transform your body into a beach body you can be proud of.

Job Edition: Teachers and Professors

I was running one day thinking of what I wanted to give you guys next. Then it hit me! I thought that I would give you guys weight loss tips for each lazy job in the world. I mean, with all of the tasks you have to do at the office or at school, you really don't have time to work out and lose weight. Our Job Edition posts will chose a job and then give you the tips for weight loss. So...here we go!

Our first Job Edition features a job that is very tedious where you sit and deal with a bunch of punk kids or adults that act like kids. This is our Teachers and Professors Edition. I have been in the same place because I'm a computer major in college. While I am on the other side of things, it is very similar to what the teachers and professors have to deal with, just at a less extreme level. Here are some tips to get you off the ground.

1. Stick to Fruits and Vegetables
Sticking to fruits and vegetables will ensure that you get the vitamins and minerals that you need while being a lower intake of fat. This will allow you to burn more fat than you take in.

2. Go for a Walk
Go for a walk during your lunch break. When you get a break or a lunch break, go for a walk and burn some calories off. We all know that even though it does burn small amounts of calories, it still adds up and can be beneficial.

3. Graze
I don't know if you have heard of grazing before. No, not the kind that cows do, although it can be similar. Grazing just means eating small amounts of food, a nibble here a nibble there, throughout your day to help space the calories out. Your students won't mind you grazing on a carrot stick or two.

4. Go to Bed Early
Going to bed early will ensure that your body is working efficiently and that you will be able to burn the calories. You may have to stay up late on some nights grading papers, but try to go to bed early.

Now that you have these tips, share them with your faculty members to help them lose weight as well! We all need a push to get going. You have your's! Now, go get 'em!

10 Reasons You Still Gain Weight Despite Your Weight Loss Atempts

Maybe you have been reading every one of our blog posts, and you just can't seem to lose any weight.
Does this sound familiar?
There may be reasons that are unknown to you, on why you gain weight despite your attempts to lose it.
I mean, who wants to try their hardest to lose weight, only to have it thrown back in their face?
I have had it happen to me all too often.
So, how do you deal with it?
You can get down and out, or you can read on and try to fix these problems to boost your weight loss!

Reasons Why You Have Weight Gain:
1. Medications
Medication side effects have suggested that you can gain weight without trying.
This is due to the effects that the medications have on your body.
Talk to your doctor about the weight gain and see if you can have it adjusted to a different medication.
2. Lack of Sleep
This one was a shocker to me when I first found out about it.
When you don't get enough sleep, your body is forced to overeat to compensate for the energy it has lost in the process of not getting sufficient sleep.
Try to sleep for an hour or two longer than you normally do, then work your way up to adding 2-3 hours.
3. Quitting Smoking
For those of you that may be quitting smoking, it can be difficult because your body craves nicotine.
Your body in turn, trades the nicotine that it used to consume for food and you end up gaining a bunch of weight. Try to catch yourself before you splurge.
4. Stress
When you are stressed out, whether it be at work, school, or other related places, your body will try to find comfort. It will turn to comfort foods and you will end up gaining a wholesome smack of weight.
Try to remain conscious on your eating habits, especially during stressful times. (Finals, deadlines, etc.)
5. Junk Food
Eating candy bars, chips, soda, ice cream, pizza and the plethora of other junk foods out there will not help you lose weight. My doctor told me to look at junk food as being a poison that will kill me.
The truth is that junk food will kill you if you eat enough of it, keep this in mind when you reach for it next time!
6. Physical Inactivity
This is kind of an oxymoron, but most people don't realize how immobile they are until they begin to gain weight like a hippopotamus.
Get going on that bike, running, basketball, swimming, soccer, lift weights, or throwing some fist to a punching bag!
7. Lifting Weights
If you are someone that has decided to lift weights to get the exercise bus moving, then you may have noticed weight gain.
This is a good thing, if you are on a good diet. (Balanced, without junk food, with fruits and vegetables)
Muscle weighs more than fat, so take heart, your muscle will make you gain more weight.
8. Eating and Going to Sleep
Eating and then immediately going to sleep can cause a hike in your weight gain.
The weight gain is caused by your food being left in your stomach for a long period of time.
The food sits and is not consumed, so your body puts it in fat cells.
Leave at least two hours after your last meal before you go to sleep.
