10 Things to Do When You Feel Like Quitting

Are you someone that is thinking about quitting your weight loss or diet program? We have all thought about doing this at one point or another. The thought about quitting seems to come up a lot because we find it hard to do the things that are essential for weight loss and keeping on track with our diet. You can either quit what you are doing with your weight loss or diet program, or you can take the bull by the horns and go out and do it. What do you do when you feel like quitting? Let's take a look!

1. Remember
The first thing that you can do when you feel like quitting is to think back and remember why it was that you were wanting to quit. You may have been doing your weight loss or diet program because you wanted to get a girl or a guy, or you were losing weight to fit in smaller clothes, to look better, whatever reason that you had. Think back and really remember the, "why." You will be glad you did.

2. Hold
The second thing that you can do is to hold on to that reason and why you wanted to do it in the first place. People forget things and why they do the things that they do. Hold on with a tight grip to that all important reason why you are doing it. When everything wants to take that reason you are doing your weight loss or diet program away from you, take a hold of it and rip it out of their hands.

3. Focus
After you struggle and grind and fight with the reason why you were wanting to do it in the first place, focus on the solution that will bring your motivation and love for doing it back around. The solution is to think about all of the time and energy and money that you have already given to it. Think about what your life would be like if you were to quit. Would your family line continue with obesity and disease from obesity? Or can you pull yourself up by your bootstraps and make a difference?

4. Reality
A lot of the bloggers that I see that blog about weight loss, fitness, dieting, bodybuilding, working out, and on and on, they all have one thing in common. That one thing is that they sugar coat everything for you and tell you that it's easy. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it. Think about reality and how the world works. Nothing is easy! Weight loss is a long and hard road. I have seen fitness gurus and trainers that say its easy. Its not. Now that you have thought about reality, think about reality in the sense of how easy it COULD be by breaking it down into smaller chunks, say, a few minutes a day to work out. Keep in mind that its hard, not easy.

5. Goals
Share your goals with at least one person this week that is NOT yourself! By sharing these goals with someone, you may find it it will inspire them and them being inspired might inspire you. Take some time to get a drink, slow down in the day, and share your thoughts and goals for weight loss and dieting with them. They might have useful information for you on how to attain those goals as well.

6. Challenges
Acknowledge the challenges that you are facing and will face in the future with going through with weight loss or dieting. So often we find ourselves struggling in challenges and we don't acknowledge them. By doing this, we put ourselves in a place to be completely oblivious towards what it is that's causing us to fail. Accept those challenges and work to conquer them and destroy them with every step you take.

7. Positive
The last thing to do when you feel like quitting is to be positive. Think about the happy things that you have accomplished through weight loss and or dieting. Take away the negative thoughts that will bring you down and strive to be positive and happy. By doing this you will find that you no longer want to quit your weight loss or diet program. Positive thinking is like good food for the soul.

8. Think
Think about the hard work that you have put in to working on your diet and your weight loss. It has been darn hard work just burning the fat and weight off, let alone eating correctly and actually putting together the process of weight loss. Stop and think for a minute and see how much better you will feel after your diet or weight loss. Most people don't consider how much effort it has taken in order to lose just 1 pound of fat.

9. Changes
Make small changes in order to let your body acclimate better to your weight loss and diet program to give yourself a chance to save your new lifestyle. Sometimes we make these huge changes to our weight loss goals or diets and our bodies just can't take so many big changes at such high prices. Our bodies and psyche can't understand what is going on with change as we are not fans of change.

10. Perspective
Think about what your perspective is on how your situation looks. Sometimes our perspective becomes clouded when we don't see the bigger picture. You can change your life for the better and never see yourself as changed. You must introduce yourself to the new you that is coming and welcome in the new lifestyle that you will encounter upon still doing your weight loss or diet instead of quitting.
I hope that my readers can implement these things that you can do when you feel like quitting. Its a pretty simple job of thinking about how hard you have worked and not being stupid enough to quit. I know that it hurts when you work out and its hard to eat good all the time, but you guys must strive to beat obesity and keep going. Otherwise, you may find that if you quit, it just might be to your demise or downfall.

Green tea or yerba mate is great for burning fat and has the power to jump start your weight loss back to life. If you're struggling with weight loss, this tea is very powerful in burning fat. It is full of antioxidants and has some caffeine that will give you a natural boost in your day.

7. Avocados
The seventh power packed weight loss food is avocados. This veggie is known for its hard cored center and smooth flesh. What Will Weight Loss be Like in 10 Years?

Have you ever thought about this question or one that is similar to it? I think that very few of us have ever thought about it. We barely think about what our weight loss will look like today, tomorrow, or maybe even a few days from now. We are a very narrow minded people to only focus on what we will be doing in the next few minutes. I want to think hypothetically and think on the wild side of things. Let's go into our time traveling machine and imagine what weight loss will be like in 10 years!

I think that weight loss in 10 years will be just like everything else we're doing these days, but it will be faster and less likely to make you upset. I'm not saying it will be instantaneous, but I believe that it will be faster than what it is now. Right now, we rely on food and drink and exercise to help us lose weight. It just seems to take so long when it comes to weight loss. I mean, in today's day and age, it takes a week to lose 2-4 pounds if you're lucky.

In ten years we are going to be into nanotechnology even more than we are now. I believe that we will be making patches that we can buy to lose the weight in a quick and painless fashion. Why patches? I believe that it will be patches because I believe that it will take very little medicine on a patch that can enter your blood stream through your skin to lose weight. I think that the technology that we will have in ten years will surpass us and pass us by with a roaring thunder. Check out the short video below. Think about the patches being weight loss and how crazy that would be!

If we can help to stop smoking with patches, we can surely help people lose weight. In addition to the patches, I believe that there will be another method of weight loss, such as laser surgery. I can see the technology of the laser being so advanced that you can shrink fat cells with a laser to lose weight, maybe even permanently. It would be so crazy if we could have a surgery and have the cells shrunken by a laser to the point where they almost didn't come back.

I also think that there could be a possibility of there being a food or drink that we could eat and burn fat like never before. There are super foods that help us burn the fat, but wouldn't it be wild if there was a pro-biotic that burned fat while it was in your stomach? The pro-biotic would be a bit of a good disease that would thrive in the body. If technology advances even more than it is now, we could be looking at methods for weight loss that could be quite the ground breaking event.

We have looked at what weight loss could look like in 10 years. As we come back to earth in the real time of our generation, be encouraged that weight loss could be on its way to some great and glorious things. When it becomes something that is as easy as putting a patch on, or getting a laser surgery, or even eating a pro-biotic, it will be something to behold because it will not take us as long to lose weight. We will be a fitter people and maybe obesity will be no more. Maybe it will be a thing of the past!

10 Super Metabolism Boosters

Over the past week or so, we have been talking about fat blasters and misconceptions about weight loss. Today I thought that we would give you 10 super metabolism boosters that are sure-fire foods that will boost your metabolism sky high. Not only will you boost it, but you will feel the boost when you eat. What I mean is that you will not feel like your stomach is full for long. You will feel like you need something else to eat in only a little while. This is your metabolism working overtime to burn as much food, fat, and excess sugars that are sitting in and on your belly. Let us begin!

1. Tea
Tea is a great antioxidant that helps to move sugar cells from your body and into the furnace to be burned as energy. I normally drink a dark tea because they take longer to digest and help to burn more calories in the long run.

2. Chili Pepper
Chili peppers are jam packed full of a compound called capsaicin that helps curb your appetite and has benefits for your weight loss. Habaneros, chili, cayenne, jalapenos, and eve Tabasco sauce are a few peppers and pepper products that you can incorporate into your diet.

3. Ice Cold Water
Drinking ice cold water lowers the temperature of your body and forces your body to burn calories to warm itself back up after being dropped lower than normal. Water in general boosts your metabolism, but ice cold water makes your body work even harder to burn that fat.

4. Oatmeal
Oatmeal packs a punch in the way of fiber and is a super-food when it comes to giving you lots of energy. That is why so many people eat oatmeal for their breakfast. It then requires more calories and energy to burn off and try to digest the fiber in oatmeal. Your stomach will be shoved into metabolism overdrive with this one!

5. Lemonade
Really, any sort of citrus drink or adding lemon juice to a meal can and definitely will boost your metabolism. Citrus is high in vitamin C and the acid in its contents helps to kick up the stomach acids to create a more combustible metabolism and stomach that shreds that food apart.

6. Fish
Leaner fish out there are great sources of metabolism boosting omega 3 acids that are essential in muscle building proteins. Some examples are, salmon and tuna. Eat these fish with a sprinkle of lemon juice over the top, and grab a glass of ice cold water for metabolism boost.

7. Papaya
Papayas contain an enzyme called papain which improves digestion and absorption in the stomach and into the body. This exotic fruit could be just the boost that you needed in your metabolism boosting diet to push you into fat burning central.

8. Dark Chocolate
Dark chocolate, believe it or not, can boost your metabolism! Dark chocolate contains anti-inflammatory polyphenols that help your belly to destroy that fat without the unwanted and refined sugars of regular candy bars and chocolate. Add a few nibbles of dark chocolate to your diet and boost that metabolism!

9. Apples
Snacking on apples is a very practical way to boost your metabolism because they are low in calories, but they require more calories to burn them off due to the amount of fiber in them. They are chocked full of good vitamins and minerals to balance out your diet and give you more benefits than just raising your metabolism.

10. Celery
Eating celery is like munching on a fiber rich food that has virtually no calories! In fact, in Weight Watchers, they are completely free to eat. Celery is a natural diuretic and helps to get rid of excess water that could be weighing you down. The energy you would need to burn celery outweighs the amount of calories that the celery even contains.

Take these 10 super metabolism boosters and go boost your metabolism sky high. I mean, who wants to just sit on the couch and hope that they will lose weight? I have given you the tools to boost that metabolism. Use these 10 boosters and workout for maximum metabolism boost. You will definitely feel the burn in your stomach as is asks for more food and water in an even short amount of time than you would have expected!

10 Weight Loss Tips for Women!

If you are a woman that has trouble wearing certain pieces of clothing because you don't think you look good, then this blog post is for you.
If you are someone that just needs a few tips because you don't have a clue on what to do, then read on.
Here are the 10 tips for weight loss for women!

1. Go Walking
If you are someone that loves to walk and doesn't mind a little sweat, (Many people don't like sweat even though they know that weight loss comes with it) then take a little walk around the block or a five minute walk. Even a five minute walk can be beneficial and can add up to big weight loss in the end!

2.  Add, Don't Subtract
Adding fruits to a meal for desert or as a snack can be beneficial because your stomach fills up quicker.
Also, adding vegetables to your soups and stews is good as it gives a healthier stand point.
Add fruits and vegetables to start toward energy, to feed the muscle, to burn the fat.

3. Drink More Water
This is a somewhat cliche tip for women and men in weight loss, but it is essential.
Water is like the lubricant of your body and even more energy that your body gets as it runs more efficiently.
Drink 48 oz. a day or three water bottles.
This goal is great because its a good amount of water without going overboard.

4. Eat When You're Hungry
So often we eat and splurge, even when we aren't hungry.
This tip goes hand in hand with #3 as we are often thirsty, not hungry.
Take a sip of water and step back before you go and splurge.

5. Share Your Dinner
Share your dinner with your husband.
By sharing your dinner, both of you are happily satisfied instead of overstuffed.
For those of you that love eating a huge plate worth of food, get used to eating half of it.
This will add up in the long run.

6. Stop Eating 3-4 Hours Before Bedtime
This tip is something that not many of us really consider.
By eating right up to when you are going to sleep you consume the calories and fat that, in turn, sticks right onto your stomach, adding to the fat.
Stop eating 3-4 hours before bedtime to give adequate time to digest.

7. Enjoy a Treat
Sometimes you just want a treat or to treat yourself to something that tastes good.
Reward yourself for doing well on your weight loss at least once a week.
Many people are loss-a-holics that go cold turkey, and they don't reward themselves.
You set yourself up for failure when you don't get a reward because your body begins to wonder what it has to do to get something good.

8. Food En Fuego (On Fire)
Add spices or chilies to your food to add a new spice.
Hot or spicy foods take longer to digest and boost your metabolism.
Make it spicy and enjoy a new flavor to savor.

9. Use Something Besides Food to Cope with Stress
Many people eat loads of food within a few minutes because they have a test in school coming or a deadline at work coming up soon. Read a good book or listen to music that relaxes you.
Keeping a journal or meditating can also be great for getting rid of stress without eating.
Avoid the unnecessary calories that come from eating from stress.

10. Eat at Home
Fast food is a ginormous amount of calories and fat that you absolutely don't need.
Eat at home and make a home cooked meal.
It will be healthier and will be better for you in the long run.

10 Reasons You Still Gain Weight Despite Your Weight Loss Atempts

Maybe you have been reading every one of our blog posts, and you just can't seem to lose any weight.
Does this sound familiar?
There may be reasons that are unknown to you, on why you gain weight despite your attempts to lose it.
I mean, who wants to try their hardest to lose weight, only to have it thrown back in their face?
I have had it happen to me all too often.
So, how do you deal with it?
You can get down and out, or you can read on and try to fix these problems to boost your weight loss!

Reasons Why You Have Weight Gain:
1. Medications
Medication side effects have suggested that you can gain weight without trying.
This is due to the effects that the medications have on your body.
Talk to your doctor about the weight gain and see if you can have it adjusted to a different medication.
2. Lack of Sleep
This one was a shocker to me when I first found out about it.
When you don't get enough sleep, your body is forced to overeat to compensate for the energy it has lost in the process of not getting sufficient sleep.
Try to sleep for an hour or two longer than you normally do, then work your way up to adding 2-3 hours.
3. Quitting Smoking
For those of you that may be quitting smoking, it can be difficult because your body craves nicotine.
Your body in turn, trades the nicotine that it used to consume for food and you end up gaining a bunch of weight. Try to catch yourself before you splurge.
4. Stress
When you are stressed out, whether it be at work, school, or other related places, your body will try to find comfort. It will turn to comfort foods and you will end up gaining a wholesome smack of weight.
Try to remain conscious on your eating habits, especially during stressful times. (Finals, deadlines, etc.)
5. Junk Food
Eating candy bars, chips, soda, ice cream, pizza and the plethora of other junk foods out there will not help you lose weight. My doctor told me to look at junk food as being a poison that will kill me.
The truth is that junk food will kill you if you eat enough of it, keep this in mind when you reach for it next time!
6. Physical Inactivity
This is kind of an oxymoron, but most people don't realize how immobile they are until they begin to gain weight like a hippopotamus.
Get going on that bike, running, basketball, swimming, soccer, lift weights, or throwing some fist to a punching bag!
7. Lifting Weights
If you are someone that has decided to lift weights to get the exercise bus moving, then you may have noticed weight gain.
This is a good thing, if you are on a good diet. (Balanced, without junk food, with fruits and vegetables)
Muscle weighs more than fat, so take heart, your muscle will make you gain more weight.
8. Eating and Going to Sleep
Eating and then immediately going to sleep can cause a hike in your weight gain.
The weight gain is caused by your food being left in your stomach for a long period of time.
The food sits and is not consumed, so your body puts it in fat cells.
Leave at least two hours after your last meal before you go to sleep.
9. Your Friends are Gaining Weight
Chances are that when you hang around your friends that are pigging out that you will begin pigging out as well. So, what do you do?
I'm not saying that you need to stop being friends, but stop pigging out with them.
Choose something healthy when you guys go out to eat!
10. Slow Metabolism
Having a slow metabolism can cause you to gain a truckload of weight.
In order to speed up your metabolism you can eat something spicy with your meal, drink something citric, and stay active in exercising.

Now that we have looked at these reasons for weight gain despite your attempts to lose it, fix these problems and give yourself a chance to defeat obesity, once and for all!
Have a good day, my friends!
