Happy New Year! A New Way to Look at Resolutions!

Happy New Year! Happy 2017!!! We just got through Thanksgiving and Christmas is coming quickly. Why did I say, Happy New Year? Because I have a new concept for New Years and the resolutions that we make all the time, but never keep. We are going to power pack our New Years' resolutions to ensure that we will reach them and accomplish them. Weight loss will be simple and you will soon be in the clothes that you have always dreamed of wearing and you will have the body that you've always wanted!

1. New Year's Resolutions

We are going to make our New Years' resolutions now. The reason being is that we need to get the resolution now so that when we get to New Year's we would normally be hitting a plateau in our year. We are going to reset the New Years' resolutions when January 1 rolls around. Car companies live in the year ahead of everyone. In order to get ahead of the weight loss curve and keep your fat loss diet going, we will hit it early and come out with a bomb of a New Years' resolution blog post.

2. Choose 1 Weight Loss Resolution

Choosing 1 weight loss resolution instead of multiple ones gives you more power and energy because you only focus on one resolution at a time. We are going to hit this resolution for all we got now before we get to the New Year and by that time we will be slowing down. Fat and dieting will not stand a chance after we are done.

3. Go Big or Go Home

By going big we will accomplish more from our resolutions. Even if we don't achieve it all, we will be accomplishing the normal resolution that we would be trying to accomplish. We have to give it all we got. For some of us we can't afford to not diet and lose weight.

4. Realistic

The last part to this is to make it realistic. If we don't make them realistic then we will fail. We do have to accomplish something or else its pointless. Make your resolution three parts; the part to accomplish that is doable, the part that you wish you could accomplish, and a part that is totally off the wall crazy that you want more than anything. Shoot for the stars!

Lets get those New Year's resolutions! We are going to get our weight loss, dieting and fat loss goals and resolutions. You HAVE to make your resolution now so that we can accomplish next years' goals. Don't live in the now...live in the future! 2017, you are going down!!!

Three Tantalizing Thanksgiving Trimmings

Have you ever wondered, "How can I cut back on my Thanksgiving meal that I'm serving my family without cutting the flavor out?" I am here to tell you that we are going to have three fresh ways to cut back on your Thanksgiving meal without cutting the flavors out of your good tasting meal. Millions of people will eat a Thanksgiving meal this holiday season and we want you to enjoy bit of it without cutting on the deliciousness that is the famed best meal of the year! Let's take a look!

1. No Salt Butter
What with all of the salt on the turkey, in the dressing, and on the rolls, you will find yourself wanting to drink more and more. The more you drink the more bloated you will feel. I have done this all too often as salt is the culprit for more liquid consumption and retention. Cut back on the salt in the butter that you use to cook and butter your rolls with. This will help you lose weight and feel skinny!

2. New Recipes
Sometimes you just need to get some new recipes. If you have traditions that are in your family, you are just like my family. We make the same exact thing every year and we end up feeling so bad afterward because we don't change the recipe. Do something about that by changing the recipes to the classics to healthier recipes. Pinterest is a great place for recipes. Try something new or do something a different way that will make a difference in your weight loss.

3. Cut Sugar
Cutting down on the sugar by using half the sugar in pies, drinking a sparkling juice instead of soda, and sticking to yams without marshmallows are just a few of the ways that you can cut down on sugar. Cutting the sugar will help your body to digest easier and the sugar will not be stored as fat. I know that each of us likes something sweet to eat during the holidays, but if you can refrain from the sugar, you can save your diet and weight loss!

I am so glad that you have stopped by once again to Obesity Overload! We have enjoyed giving you three tantalizing Thanksgiving trimmings that will help you lose weight despite the Thanksgiving and holiday season. I hope that you guys and gals are doing good after not having written for a long time on this blog. I would like to pick it back up and give you guys and gals some good tips, tricks, and ways to lose more weight than you ever have before. Share our post! Be safe this holiday season! No drinking and driving.

Thanksgiving Edition: Obesity Overload

We have all eaten the classic turkey, potatoes, yams, stuffing, and the other various Thanksgiving Day feast dishes! With the buttery goodness comes the buttery guilt and shame of eating more and more of what makes you gain weight. For most of us, we are overweight and Thanksgiving seems to be a day when we gain even more weight than we would like. I would like to talk today about how to minimize then damage from all of the turkey and fatty foods. Let's get down to some quick tips for Thanksgiving and how to keep your diet going while enjoying some good food!

1. Use Less Butter
One quick way to keep from gaining weight is to use less butter than you normally would. Does your stuffing really need two sticks of butter? Stick it to some of your butter and stay away from most of that fat.

2. Eat With Smaller Plates
This one is kind of a, "DUH" tip, but it is one of the simplest ones to implement because it really gives you a perspective on how much you really eat. If you're a visual person, then it really pays to eat smaller!

3. Go for a Walk
Strap on your sneakers and get out and walk around with the family to burn off some of the food that you have eaten. Instead of sitting and letting the food sit on your stomach, go and get your burn on with your family.

4. Don't Eat the Skin
With this tip we will consider not eating the turkey skin. This may be something that not all of you guys take part in. There is a considerable amount of fat that is in the turkey skin. Stay with the turkey breast that is leaner than the rest of the fatty turkey.

5. Space Out
What we mean by spacing out is to space out your time between your meals a little bit instead of eating constantly. Let your food that you enjoy for the first meal of the day fully digest before eating the next meal.

***BONUS TIP***
Play some football or some soccer in your backyard or at a park nearby to burn off some more calories. We all enjoy some football during the holidays, but playing football is an excellent way to get rid of some fatty food!

I hope that you guys really enjoyed these tips and that you guys implement these tips in your guys' lives. Just because its Thanksgiving doesn't mean that your weight loss or diet has to suffer. You don't have to gain weight today, you can lose weight. We will have more links below for you to check out and more tips to help you lose weight. I highly encourage you guys to do your best today and to enjoy and give thanks with family and friends for what you have.

Feel free to comment or share our blog post and converse about it. We would love for you to comment and will respond!
