Testosterone, the Key to Burning Fat for Men?

Testosterone and estrogen are the keys to burning fat and so many people don't even know it. Do you know what testosterone is? Testosterone is a hormone, made mostly in guys as a reproductive steroid. Both the male and female produce this chemical combination of testosterone, but they serve different purposes in the body. A lot of the time, we go about our lives without thinking about these reproductive chemicals. This anabolic steroid helps your body to grow and mature in ways that help burn fat. It's no wonder that a good number of athletes take a testosterone booster in order to bulk up their muscle before a big fight or game. We will look at what it is and how it helps the guys burn fat. Let's break it down!

1. What is Testosterone? This is confusing for a lot of people because we normally link the words testosterone and aggression. These two words really don't have a lot to do with one another. Testosterone is the hormone that allows reproductive organs to increase in size, as well as muscles and bones as we grow and develop throughout our lives. If you have ever gone to a handball court and have seen small guys there with no muscle and they seem like twigs, you know that they probably could stand to raise their testosterone rates. Testosterone helps your body to feel better and gives you that macho alpha male feeling inside your mind and chest. This is the reason why buff guys get the girl, because not only does it increase your body in size, it also gives you the confidence to talk to women.

2. The Problem with Testosterone and CortisolThe problem that we face in the body is a little stress hormone called cortisol. The problem that we now face as bodybuilders, obese people trying to lose weight, and the general population is that this stress hormone causes us to want to eat more and more and we find ourselves gaining weight instead of losing it. Cortisol is a stress hormone that has reverse effects of testosterone. This is why you need to stop worrying and stressing out so much. The more you can chill and not stress, the more the testosterone will help you lose weight.

3. How do I naturally boost testosterone? 
Many guys ask this every day. We go to the doctor and he says that our testosterone levels are low. The first thing we do is we try to find a supplement that will help us boost it quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, these supplements are not always legal and can be detrimental to your lives. There are several ways to naturally boost testosterone.

          A. Peak Training       

The first is to do some peak training. Get out there and push your body to the max (without killing yourself). If you know that you can jog for 4 MPH for 20 minutes, push yourself to go 6 MPH for 20 minutes.

          B. Get Enough Sleep       

The average adult should be getting 7-10 hours of sleep per night. We normally get 3-6 hours of sleep per night. Get to sleep earlier and give your body enough time to boost your testosterone.

          C. Strength Training       

By doing strength training, you allow your body to get blood pumped into your muscles at greater and higher rates. This helps create more testosterone because your body is running at more efficient speeds. The slower you go during strength training the more you will produce.

          D. High Intensity Interval Training       

Doing HIIT is another great way to boost testosterone naturally. You will find yourself wanting to work out because you will become addicted to the boost and the good feeling that you get when you work out.

          E. Eliminate Sugar from your Diet       

By consuming sugar you make the insulin levels rise in your bloodstream and you become decreasingly productive in your making of testosterone. Your body will create less and less the more sugar you consume.

Best Supplemental to Supplements

We are in a day and age when companies and businesses put any and every supplement in everything. Our soda, energy drinks, food and other desperate supplements. Our dilemma that we run into is that we don't know the effects that these supplements will have on our bodies. They are used and have both good and bad effects. We gladly take the next, "miracle pill" without wondering or researching what is inside of it. Have you ever wondered what you're putting into your body? Or do you just delightfully take any and everything that you want? Whatever situation you're faced with, don't just keep taking supplements, look to see what is inside it. Let's get into this supplemental of supplements and look at some tips for supplements.

1. Consult a doctor first!
Always check with a doctor first before you begin taking a supplement. The bind that we find ourselves in with supplements is that they alter our chemistry in our bodies. If you're taking something like chromium, then it helps your insulin to be absorbed quicker and more readily. This changes how your body works, what it feels, and how efficient it is or is not! If you consult your doctor first about a supplement, than he or she can tell you if its a good idea considering your circumstances.

2. Know what you are taking!
The internet is full of unlimited resources when it comes to researching things. Take a few moments to get some information on the supplement and do some research as to what is in it and the side effects of each of the elements of that supplement. Knowledge is power, my readers! So, why not take full advantage of knowing what a supplement will do when it comes to your body? Why not know the risks that you take when you put a foreign supplement into your body? By knowing what is inside and what each of the pieces do to your body, you can dodge a bullet that may be your demise!

3. Fake or Real?
If a pill or supplement tells you that you will lose weight almost magically, or that all you need to do is take this pill and your fat burns off, or that you can take it and forget about your diet than that supplement is a fake. A lot of the garcinia cambogia supplements say that they will help you lose weight just by taking that new miracle pill. This is a fake. Supplements that say that they can help you, along with your diet and exercise are the ones that you want to look at. It your supplement is making promises to you and is telling you to disregard everything else, then you know that it is a fake and should not be played with.

4. Not Toys!Supplements are not toys! They are not to be taken lightly or as if they are harmless. The truth is that they can be so harmful even enough to cause you to be extremely sick or even dead. I don't want to pull the wool over your guys' eyes. Supplements are not toys and they should be given enough respect to be taken extremely seriously. A lot of people drink energy drinks and protein shakes as if there is no tomorrow and they wonder why they are sick. Energy drinks are not like cans of juice that are merely harmless cans of hydration. They are like picking and drinking your poison. People abuse and misuse these avenues of energy and we are doing no good to our bodies, we are letting ourselves slip away into death.

5. Monitor
Monitor your body and the results that you are getting from your supplement use. Get a journal and write down what you felt, when you felt it, changing body functions or elements, side effects that you have, WRITE IT ALL DOWN! I would then suggest to make a regular visit twice a month to help your doctor consider whether its good to keep taking that supplement. You could be putting yourself at risk and not even know it.

6. Internal Organ Cookers
This tip might be a little bit horrific sounding or morbid, but it needs to be addressed. You might be cooking your internal organs. What does this mean? It means that some of the first side effects to any supplement is that it may cause damage to kidneys or your liver from excessive use. This means that you might be literally cooking your internal organs with your supplements. We take stuff all the time without thinking that everything we ever put in our mouths goes through our liver and or kidneys. When you put poisonous supplements into your body it goes right to your internal organs to be processed. Don't put yourselves at risk of death because you are cooking your internal organs!

I felt uncomfortable with writing this blog post because it hits home for me because I use supplements. I know about the supplements, what they do, side effects, and it doesn't scare me to use them. It is scary because I pity those people that misuse and abuse these avenues of what could be good effects to improving your body and health. When it comes to supplements and weight loss, we come to a crossroads and we have to ask ourselves, "Do the bad side effects outweigh the good effects and will I better by using this product?" If you answer, "yes" to the first part to this question or, "no" to the second part of that question then do not take that supplement!

I want to give a final warning to you guys. I am not saying, "take this supplement, don't take that one." I'm saying that you need to consult a professional doctor, use some common sense, and monitor your body. If you have done all of the tips above, you might be saying, "It's not even worth taking after all of the trouble I just went through." If you are saying that, then be thankful, because I might be saving your life through warning you. I am looking out for your best interest. Don't take these powerful tools lightly. You can enjoy them, but just know exactly what you are getting into before you sign the dotted line. Once you sign, there is no going back! Instant Inspiration...LITERALLY!

Have you ever felt down on yourself or felt like you will never accomplish your weight loss goals? Have you ever lacked the energy to work out? Have you ever felt like you tread water no matter what you do? If you have answered yes to any of these questions or want a little bit more oomph, then this blog post is for you. The Instant Inspiration concept is one that I have come up with to help you guys with your diets, weight loss, and staying motivated and inspired. Take a dive into this great blog post with me!

1. Self Affirmation
Self affirmation is a very important part to this equation and concept. Self affirmation is the affirming of the good things that you have going for you during your diet or weight loss. If you have been losing 2-3 pounds a week, then tell yourself that. If you are someone that eats well, tell yourself that. Your brain needs to hear these things. It's as if you're telling another person that you are doing well and your brain responds to these affirmations in a positive way.

2. Agree 
Think of one problem for the week that you want to work on. By thinking and agreeing that you have a problem to work on, your brain feels the need and urge to fix the problem. When you fix the problem, move to the next problem. Agree with yourself and get your brain on board. When it comes to psychology, you can trick your brain into agreeing that you have weight problems, and then your brain responds by wanting to fix the problem. Its like your conning yourself into weight loss or dieting.

3. Positive
STAY POSITIVE! When you are doing your weight loss you can do one of two things. You can either stay negative and never achieve your goals and rot in your own fat, or you can stay positive, fuel the fire, and succeed at burning the fat off. Staying positive helps to release endorphins that will help you feel better about what you are trying to accomplish. Obesity is not something to be taken lightly.

4. Instant Inspiration
Get off of your bottom! Get off the couch and just go and work out. It may be that you are very tired, annoyed, bored, lazy, or a number of other things, but if you don't get up and start moving towards working out, then you will never make it there. You have to get up, get dressed, get primed and ready to go, and then take yourself and go and get your weight loss or diet. Put some perspiration towards your weight loss or diet and you will begin to ignite the inspiration. You will see the results and you will just fly!

I hope that you guys are inspired on this Sunday afternoon to take up your flag, your diet, your weight loss, your inspiration and to go and get the prize! You guys deserve the six pack, the washboard abs, the skinny butt and body, but you guys need to work and be inspired like you actually want it. You have to want it more than life wants to hit you and keep you down. There are no excuses in the real world. If you make excuses and you sit on the couch, you will be fat, you will be obese, and you will die sooner than you would if you were skinny or smaller. GO AND GET IT MY FRIENDS!

1 Strange Addiction! Are You Addicted Too?

Raise your hand if you have ever eaten junk food. This can be any of the junk foods under the sun, whether it be soda, sugary drinks, chips, candy, cookies, any and everything. What is the point in me asking you this unimportant question? The point that I want you to see is that junk food is an addiction. The addiction is not necessarily WHAT you eat, its how much you eat and how often. If you struggle with this addiction feel free to reach out in the comment box and get some help from a non-judgmental group of people.

1. What We Eat
What we eat matters guys! You may not think that it does, but it does. The reason that junk food is an addiction is because we crave it and feed those cravings with junk food. Sometimes we can't stop eating. We shove food in like there is no tomorrow and we forget that what we are eating is horrible for us. So many times, the junk food companies and corporations get us to eat their food because it makes our mouth tingle or because it tastes good. Really, what we are doing is drinking the Koolaid.

2. When We Eat
When we eat and at what time of day is just as important as what we eat. When we eat late at night the food becomes fat almost immediately. When we eat in the morning, noontime, and early evening, it gives us time to digest. Depending on what we eat we find that it takes longer to digest. Having bed time snacks or midnight snacks is extremely detrimental to your weight loss and dieting because the food just sits in your stomach and rots for a long amount of time. Then it converts to fat!

3. How Much We Eat
This factor one of the biggest when it comes to junk food. Junk food doesn't satisfy as good and as quickly as food that is good for you. We eat gobs of junk food and it never hits bottom. This is a strange addiction that we all go through. Eat less of the good food instead of more of the junk. The junk food companies go through so much food because they realize that their foods are not satisfying and that you will have to buy more. The problem that we run into is that the 2 for 5 bags of chips are the worst thing that we could eat a super sized portions.

I probably sound like every other person that has told you that junk food is bad for you. The thing that will set me apart from these people is the thing that I will say next. You are killing yourself by eating junk food! Those junkies that do drugs are controlled by the drugs. The drugs consume them and force them to use the drugs until they die someday. You are on the path to destruction and you will die unless you change your way and quit the addiction. I care for my readers and the people of the world enough to tell you the truth about junk food. It's an epidemic and is an addiction.

I encourage you guys to own your addiction! Junk food is as addictive as drugs and alcohol. Stop the addiction and stop eating junk food. I believe in you guys! Lose that fat and continue your weight loss and your diet. There will be withdrawals, but power through and be victorious!

What You Crave is Not What You Crave!

Have you ever craved a food that will really hit the spot? Nothing can fill the spot besides that food. We have all craved something whether it be soda, candy, chips, beer, wine, spicy barbecue almonds, or another food, right? I should be talking to 100% of the population because we have all craved a food or drink at one time or another. You go to the store in a frenzy, pick up way too much of the thing that you crave, then you go home and eat the food or drink the drink that you were craving until it makes you sick. Too much of a good thing can be bad! So, how to we fulfill those cravings? What if what we crave is not what we are craving?

1. How do I know that what I'm craving is what I'm really craving?
How do we know? I mean, my body says that I'm craving one thing and I could be craving something completely different. How do we decide and know what we are really craving?

          A. Water: Most of the time you can tell that what you are craving is truly what you are craving by knowing how much water you have had in your day to drink. Our body craves water and we don't even know it. Before you splurge on your craving, drink a 8-10 oz. glass of water and wait 20 minutes. You would be surprised to find that what you were craving was water.
          B. Workout: Cravings come from your brain being deprived of something else in your days and weeks. Another way to tell if what you're craving is truly what you crave is to work out for 20-40 minutes out in the fresh air outside. Our body craves fresh air and being outside instead of craving food or drink. If your body craves your craving after working out for a while and getting some exercise, then your body is probably craving what you were craving before you worked out.

2. How do I fulfill these cravings without going overboard?
A lot of the time when we crave something, we tend to go overboard and eat or drink until we either don't feel good, or we pass out. I have never passed out from eating or drinking too much, but I have eaten so much that I wanted to throw up to get rid of some of it. Our bodies are not meant to take on thousands of calories all at one time. That's why if we crave something, we need to take a step back, and we need to have a little bit in moderation.

          A. Small Amounts: Have a little bit and take a step back. Let your mind, heart, and body have a break long enough to be content with what you ate or drank. Let it settle down for about 25 minutes. Let what you ate or drank hit bottom and see if it hits the spot for you. I would suggest experimenting with your cravings. See what hits the spot and the amount. You might be surprised that it doesn't take all that much to make your cravings happy and go away.

          B. Healthy Alternatives: Choose an alternative that is better for you. It can hit your craving and not be a huge dent in your weight loss at the same time. We often crave some of the worst foods and drinks for our bodies and diets. We don't realize what we have done until its too late. I have heard so many stories of people getting a pint or quart of their favorite ice cream and they will eat the whole thing! If it was a low fat yogurt, it wouldn't be nearly as bad. Eat some fruit or vegetables when you crave something, it really helps!

I know that a lot of us struggle with the guilt of eating our favorite crave-able foods. I am here as your coach, your adviser, your friend, your weight loss guru, and I am here to tell you that you can indulge in your cravings, but you need to keep it at a low roar so as not to kill your weight loss journey and efforts. I want to encourage you guys, that you guys can accomplish your weight loss goals, and that you guys are doing great. If you did bad and ate or drank too much, forgive yourself and move on to do better in the long run!

New Maximum Fat Burn Workout!

So, you want to stay in from the cold and work out while still getting the maximum fat burn? I have just the workout for you! A lot of people work out and they just don't work out to make a difference. This workout concentrates on burning fat on the abs and will leave your mid-section burning as if there were no tomorrow. You have your New Year's resolutions set and now its time to put your foot to the pedal and get those pounds shed off. The crazy part about this workout is that it is a 5 minute a day workout and you can do it anywhere you have space without any equipment next to a timer! It will be that easy to burn fat!

1. Preparation
Preparation begins with finding a timer. You need a timer to time yourself. Next, stretch those muscles. Stretch out all your muscles in your body because this workout is sure to be a killer one. After you have stretched, find a spot that is a clear space to stretch your body out to work out.

2. The Workout!

5 Minute Workout
The workout is 5 minutes long and that is it!

Mountain Climbers: 30 seconds of mountain climbers.

Plank: 30 seconds of planks (Holding the push-up position.)

Sit-ups: 30 seconds of sit-ups.

Why does this workout sound too good to be true? It's because most workouts that burn crazy amounts of fat take longer, a lot longer than 5 minutes! This workout's intensity is compounded so much that you get three times the workout in a third to a fifth of the time that it would normally take. The only way that you get harder once the five minutes is easy is to add a minute to your workout for a week and keep compounding it. This is the easiest, shortest, and most efficient fat burning workout out there.

All you have to do is start with the mountain climbers and cycle through these exercises until 5 minutes has expired. It's that simple! You may want to pace yourself because it will be a most powerful workout. Your abs will be crying for joy that you are working them out. If you can do this one 4-6 days a week, you will see the fat melt off like there is no tomorrow. You will enjoy this one because its three exercises cycled until 5 minutes is gone and then there its done. If you incorporate a balanced and good diet the fat burns even quicker because there is nowhere for the fat you eat to go. Enjoy this new maximum fat burn workout guys!

Truth Hurts...New Year's Resolution Secret!

A lot of people would probably say that the truth sets you free because then you don't have the guilt of trying to cover up lies. Even more people would say that the truth does indeed hurt. Why is this fact true? New Year's resolutions are ways and plans for ways to change ourselves that we make at the beginning of the year. The thing that most people don't do is that they don't come to grips with the fact that they are fat and that they are obese and that they do need to lose weight. Let's get into the meat and potatoes on how to set great New Year's resolutions and be on your way to a great looking body!

THE "WHAT?" CONCEPT: Coming to grips that you're fat, obese, and that you need to lose weight.

WHY: Why do we need to come to grips with these facts? We need to because the sooner that we realize that we have a problem, the sooner we can attempt to fix them and set New Year's resolutions. This is a powerful part of the equation, even though it's not the main concept.

WHO: Who needs to do this? YOU NEED TO! It is not my job to convince you, it is your job to take responsibility and realize that you need to do this. You alone can choose to be on with the idea of bettering yourself, or you can not and be a fat lazy tub all day. It's your choice.

WHEN: We need to do this immediately if not sooner. Of course we can't do it any sooner than at this present moment, but we need to do it as soon as possible. Letting your weight go for long amounts of time destroys your New Year's resolution.

WHERE: You need to conceive the thought in your mind. Ideas start in the mind, the mind sends the idea to the body, and the heart helps execute the mind's idea. The idea of the truth hurting should be a nasty thought that you conjure up in your mind. It CAN and SHOULD hurt. It will motivate you to reach inside and lose weight, even when you don't want to.

HOW???: The biggest question that your asking right now is, "How do I make the truth hurt?" If you're asking this question, then you are ready to make the truth hurt and are ready to set New Year's resolutions that will in turn result in weight loss. The way that you make the truth hurt is to get a full length mirror where you can see your body. Then you say to yourself, "I am fat because..." (Stretch marks, muffin top, butt is too big, whatever the case is!) Let it really sink in. Then say to yourself, "I may be fat, but I want to lose or accomplish..." (Losing 10 pounds or 20, or losing the muffin top, or losing the big fat butt, whatever the case is.)

After you have accomplished each and every one of these steps, you are then ready to set your New Year's resolution. It may take a while to do each step. Remember, the truth is no easy pill to swallow. You may cry, feel bad, or want to punch something, but it will prepare you to set your goals and New Year's resolution. This is the biggest secret to setting and preparing to set your New Year's resolutions. If you do not follow these steps, your New Year's resolution has a good chance of dying instead of being a viable step on your way to your goals in 2015.
