Thanksgiving Edition: Obesity Overload

We have all eaten the classic turkey, potatoes, yams, stuffing, and the other various Thanksgiving Day feast dishes! With the buttery goodness comes the buttery guilt and shame of eating more and more of what makes you gain weight. For most of us, we are overweight and Thanksgiving seems to be a day when we gain even more weight than we would like. I would like to talk today about how to minimize then damage from all of the turkey and fatty foods. Let's get down to some quick tips for Thanksgiving and how to keep your diet going while enjoying some good food!

1. Use Less Butter
One quick way to keep from gaining weight is to use less butter than you normally would. Does your stuffing really need two sticks of butter? Stick it to some of your butter and stay away from most of that fat.

2. Eat With Smaller Plates
This one is kind of a, "DUH" tip, but it is one of the simplest ones to implement because it really gives you a perspective on how much you really eat. If you're a visual person, then it really pays to eat smaller!

3. Go for a Walk
Strap on your sneakers and get out and walk around with the family to burn off some of the food that you have eaten. Instead of sitting and letting the food sit on your stomach, go and get your burn on with your family.

4. Don't Eat the Skin
With this tip we will consider not eating the turkey skin. This may be something that not all of you guys take part in. There is a considerable amount of fat that is in the turkey skin. Stay with the turkey breast that is leaner than the rest of the fatty turkey.

5. Space Out
What we mean by spacing out is to space out your time between your meals a little bit instead of eating constantly. Let your food that you enjoy for the first meal of the day fully digest before eating the next meal.

***BONUS TIP***
Play some football or some soccer in your backyard or at a park nearby to burn off some more calories. We all enjoy some football during the holidays, but playing football is an excellent way to get rid of some fatty food!

I hope that you guys really enjoyed these tips and that you guys implement these tips in your guys' lives. Just because its Thanksgiving doesn't mean that your weight loss or diet has to suffer. You don't have to gain weight today, you can lose weight. We will have more links below for you to check out and more tips to help you lose weight. I highly encourage you guys to do your best today and to enjoy and give thanks with family and friends for what you have.

Feel free to comment or share our blog post and converse about it. We would love for you to comment and will respond!

Think Positive, Lose Weight?

Our brains are effected by even some of the smallest things. We laugh and feel happy, and our brains think that we can conquer the world. When we are sad we feel like our brains are falling apart. When we are doing weight loss and dieting, it is very important that we have good attitudes. Good attitudes give us a great boost in weight loss when we feel good about ourselves. We are going to talk about why weight loss depends on our attitude and how we see the world. It is very important that we think on the sunny side of things instead of thinking so bad. Why are positive attitudes key to weight loss?

1. Endorphin Overload
Endorphins are a hormone that are released when you work out and are happy. When we are happy and we have good attitudes, the endorphins release neurologically and it boosts your weight loss because your body functions better. When your body functions better, your body burns fat better.

2. See Yourself as Someone Who is Changing
What attitude are we to take if weight loss depends on an attitude? Instead of seeing yourself as someone who is overweight, obese, or someone that just needs to get a life, look at yourself as someone that is getting skinnier, someone that is changing their body for the good, and someone that will conquer obesity and will win.

3. Bad Attitude, No Weight Loss
I have a question for you. Would you rather have a good attitude while losing weight and it be easier, or would you rather have a bad attitude and weight loss be extremely grueling? When we have bad attitudes, we find ourselves hitting rock bottom and we have problems because our minds convince our bodies that we are nothing. Bad attitudes are a weight loss killer and we find ourselves beating ourselves up because we see skinny people that set the standards on what the good looking person is. We need to redefine ourselves and to change the way we look at weight loss.

4. Good Attitude, Weight Loss
Good attitudes are essential for weight loss and we need to have good attitudes in order to really experience weight loss. Good attitudes boost your ego and your body feels good about itself. You want to lose weight in this case and having a bad attitude is out of sight and out of mind. Good attitudes are something that are rare during the holidays. Try to think of a happy thought or time that is very dear to your heart.

5. Forgiveness
Forgiveness is a powerful tool that can be very empowering in weight loss and dieting. When we can forgive ourselves for eating the wrong thing or forgive ourselves for not working out when we know we should have, we can get past the simple but crippling disease of the bad attitude. Bad attitudes thrive on guilt and making you feel bad. Slay your bad attitude by forgiving yourself!

6. Cut Out the Negative
Cut out the negative things in life and replace it with positive things. Hang with people that will encourage you even though you think that you will never lose weight. Find other people like you that you can encourage and have encourage you. Start a Facebook or social media group that you can support one another through your hard times. When we cut out the negative, we will find the positive emerge, almost magically!

7. Sticky Note Positive Affirmation
Write something positive about yourself that you want to remember days down the road on a sticky note and put it in the most prominent place in your life. Every time you see those notes, your mind will immediately think more positively. It pays to think more positively!

We find ourselves in the midst of the holidays and we find that bad attitudes run rampant. Please try to have a good attitude to boost your weight loss this holiday season. We all could use some good cheer and our weight loss and dieting loves good cheer. Do yourself a favor and think a good thought. Helping others helps us to feel better because we are helping others. Weight loss is all about attitude. Have a good attitude and have victory, have a bad attitude and your weight loss will die!

New Year's Resolutions...Set it Now?

My question to you is, "Why don't we get started on New Year's resolutions now?" It would make perfect sense, wouldn't it? We always set a resolution at the beginning of the year, and we normally don't have time to get it accomplished. So, by offsetting the resolution making, you give yourself enough time to accomplish the resolution. We are going to talk about some tips for smashing your New Year's resolution in the mouth and get er' done! Let's go!

1. Smaller Plates
-Using smaller plates allows you to see what exactly your eating. We often eat with huge plates and we find ourselves going back for seconds when in fact we are eating thirds and fourths.
-Smaller plates for the holidays will allow you to eat a little bit of everything in moderation; a little bit of turkey, cranberry sauce, maybe a roll, you get the point.

2. Get Up
-If you get up in the morning and have breakfast instead of sleeping in, then your metabolism starts early and you will find it easier to maintain that metabolism.
-Getting up off the couch will allow the blood to flow and will help your metabolism kick into gear even more.

3. Cut Sugar in Half
-Cutting the sugar in half will more than double your fat loss because sugar enters the bloodstream and goes straight to creating fat.
-In addition, sugar is what feeds cancer cells and makes your body vulnerable to being sick and unhealthily overweight.

4. Cheat
-Cheat? I thought we were supposed to be doing good, not bad? Cheating, or rewarding yourself for doing good in your diet will allow your body to take pride in your work at losing weight.
-Your mind will quickly perk up when it is rewarded for keeping your body on the straight and narrow.

5. 4-6 Smaller Meals
-Eating 4-6 smaller meals allows your metabolism to go bonkers because by the time your food from one meal is done digesting, your stomach will have something else to digest.
-Save 1 big meal for dinner and make the other ones smaller.

6. Don't Watch TV
-Watching TV allows for you to see all of the cooking shows and commercials that come with watching TV in general. The first thing to come on a commercial is food.
-Getting off of the tube will allow you to work out and burn some calories as well.

7. Stop Lying to Yourself
-When we are in dieting or weight loss mode, we often lie to ourselves saying, "Oh, well those extra calories don't count for much, I'll eat it anyways." You are only cheating yourself.
-Be honest with yourself. When you do, you will not feel guilty and like eating.

8. Be Self Conscious
-Being self conscious is the feeling you get when you feel like, "a bug in a jar." Make yourself feel guilty when you eat bad and don't do it again.
-Guiltiness is not bad, it means that you care enough to do it right!

9. Set Reasonable Resolutions NOW!
Now that we have talked about some tips on how to accomplish the New Year's resolution, let's talk about setting them. Set the resolutions now. Procrastination now will only lead to procrastinating on your weight loss or diet in the future. Take action and go out and conquer the world. Get the beach body that you deserve. You deserve to look good and feel good, and to be able to look in the mirror and say, "I am beautiful," or, "I am handsome!" You need to put the footsteps to your words about wanting it, you have to just do it.

10. Conquer Them Early
My last point in this blog post is to conquer the resolutions early. As I alluded to earlier in the post, you will procrastinate on the dieting or weight loss if you procrastinate in making the resolution now. Write it down on a piece of paper and post it to the wall that you will see every day multiple times a day. I would suggest putting it in the kitchen! By seeing the resolution, you trick your mind into constantly wanting to accomplish it. This works!

I want to wish you all a great day and I hope that you guys take into account what we have talked about with making the resolutions now. I have given you the gun, the ammo, and have set you on the right path. If you stick to these tips, you can't go wrong in your weight loss and dieting endeavors. If your still not convinced that you should make your New Year's resolution now, think about this question, "Why do I want to diet or lose weight?" It will be a surefire way to respond with making a resolution.

Here's to your success!

7 Golden Fat Burning Foods

After reading the past couple of blog posts about weight loss and pushing to accomplish your New Years resolutions (CLICK HERE!), you're probably thinking, "Can you give us some tips on how to accomplish what you're asking us to do?" That's where this blog post comes into play. I would like to introduce 7 golden fat burning foods to you and how they help you burn fat. We will be going into depth a little bit further than just the surface for these 7 foods. Anyone can tell you, "yep, these are fat burning foods," but very few posts ever say, "why." Let's get into these 7 golden fat burning foods and why they burn fat to give you a six pack in no time at all!

1. Spicy Foods
Peppers and hot foods are a great way to burn fat and to lose weight. You may have heard of the famous Sriracha hot sauce that is sweeping over the world like a huge spicy cloud. Spicy foods can liven your foods and dishes up really well and then get your metabolism going, In turn, this gives you a fat burning kick-start! If you really want to add something to your foods quickly, then just add some spicy salsa.

2. Eggs
This fat burning food is probably the most overlooked one of them all, mainly because we often think of eggs being full of fat. The truth is that you don't get fat from eating fat. You get fat from eating foods that have sugars that convert into fat. Eggs are full of protein that will give you better muscle. This will add up and will help those muscles burn fat at a greater pace because you will be building more muscle. Have some eggs for breakfast to start the fat burning wagon on a trail-blaze!

3. Lean Meats
This golden fat burning food is the most considered of them all. It is easy to eat meat in this world because it tastes so good. Meat is easy to cook and you can cook it in many different ways and flavors. Lean meats like turkey, chicken, and lean beef can burn fat by adding to your muscles. Meat contains a lot of protein and this protein can help burn a good amount of fat. You can incorporate a meal or two in the week to start. It's that simple.

4. Peanut Butter
There are a lot of myths about nuts being fatty. The thing is that everyone needs to eat a little bit of fat. Everything in moderation is better than ridding yourself of it altogether. Peanuts and peanut butter has a large amount of fat burning protein because this too can help you build more muscle. It is essential to have muscle to burn fat. If you don't have muscle, then you will not burn fat. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are a great way to start. Slather a good amount of peanut butter on your sandwich.

5. Green Tea
You may be reading this fat burning food shaking your head wondering how green tea could burn fat. Green tea uses natural caffeine to boost your body's production of muscle and energy levels. Your metabolism boosts as well, and we have found that green tea or black tea will give you even greater fat burn. All you have to do is have one cup of tea a day. Make a tea time like the people in England, and enjoy the benefits of burning more fat.

6. Citrus
Citrus is a great source of vitamin C and vitamin C is great for helping the body pass the cold or flu better.Citrus is also known for boosting your fat burning furnace by causing metabolism combustion in your body at rapid rates, causing your body to burning more fat because of greater efficiency. Add fresh lemons to a fish for dinner, or a lime to your tacos, or maybe some lemonade to your meal. The acid will cause your fat burners to explode.

7. Apples
Apples may be the last thing you think of when you think of golden fat burning foods, but they play a very important role in helping you burn fat. Apples allow your body to feel full for longer amounts of time. Your body has to have the energy from the apple to burn fat. The sweetness  can also act like something sweet to curb your sweet tooth cravings. There are also great amounts of vitamins and essential minerals in apples. Add one to your day for a snack to boost your fat burners!

I hope that you guys have enjoyed this post about 7 golden fat burning foods. Please share these foods with your family and friends to help them lose weight as well. Save a life by promoting these blog posts. You can save somebody's life by pointing them in the right direction for weight loss. Please consider adding these foods to your diet to help your fat burners kick into overdrive. You will not be sorry, I promise!

Protein Shakes, 8 Benefits

A good amount of people have heard of protein shakes and professional athletes endorsing protein shake supplements and bottles and cartons of this muscle building wonder. Did you know that your body needs a good amount of protein to build muscle? We have also heard about a lot of debates on if protein shakes are good for you or not. I'm not even going to write another debate blog post about whether protein shakes are good for you or not. I'm going to give you 8 benefits of protein shakes. You can decide whether you want to use protein shakes to put more muscle on. Here, we, GO!

1. Cut and Paste
So, when I was really bulking, I was lifting heavy, with less reps, and I was consuming one protein shake a day. I found that I was almost cutting and pasting muscle on the areas that I was working on when I was lifting heavy and drinking protein shakes. I put on twenty pounds of muscle on in about two and a half to three weeks! It was a ridiculous amount of muscle that I was gaining for not working out so much.

2. Bounce Back
This is a HUGE pro to drinking protein shakes! I found that I have incredible bounce back and my body had great resiliency when it came to working out. What happens when you workout is that your muscle breaks down and then it comes back a little bit stronger 3-5 days later. When you drink protein shakes, you come back in 2-3 days instead of 3-5. The time frame was completely different.

3. Fat Loss
In accordance with the second benefit is the third benefit and that is that protein shakes contribute to big fat loss. When you workout and gain muscle, the muscle burns more fat. When you workout your legs, they get to the point where they are fat burning furnaces. More muscle equals more fat burn. This is the exciting part about protein shakes is that they convert to fat burning muscle.

4. Snack Supplementation
This was very true in my case. I could use protein shakes as a snack. Protein shakes are lower calories and so that contributes to weight loss as well. I would not supplement a meal with a protein shake just for the mere fact that protein shakes don't contain vitamins, minerals, and other supplements that you get from food that is good for your body. The fun part about this is that you can whip up a protein shake rather quickly and you can take it on the go!

5. Absorbs Quickly
Another benefit for drinking protein shakes is that they absorb into your body very quickly; I mean, wicked fast! Whey protein isolate is the best pound-for-pound protein out there in the world and takes a few short hours to absorb fully. This does not mean that you can supplement it for rest. You still have to rest, but you don't have to rest as often as you would without the protein shake.

6. Handles Heavy Lifting
Protein shakes handle heavy lifting like a champ! The protein shake was designed to help bodybuilders and power lifters and even beginner lifters come back quicker than they normally would. To utilize your protein benefits to their fullest, lift heavy, low reps, and watch the muscle jump onto your body. The best way to tell if the muscle is coming is to try on a dress shirt before you begin working out, find your size, and then work out for a few weeks. You won't fit in that same shirt the next time you try it on after working out!

7. Several Flavors
Call me a loser for thinking that this is a benefit, but I think that this is a big benefit. If I get sick of tasting chocolate protein shake, then I can get another flavor instead. They come in so many different flavors. Another hidden benefit is that the higher end protein powders actually taste decent. It doesn't have to cost you dearly for you to get good sources of protein.

8. Stronger or Lighter
The best benefit besides the fact that protein shakes put on a ton of muscle is that you can put in how ever much protein powder you want. You can put in one scoop or you can put in two. It is completely up to you! If you need more help with your protein intake, then you can add a little more. I drink my protein shake powder in milk, so it makes the protein shake thicker and creamier than it would be in just water.

I hope that you guys can use these benefits to come to a knowledge of what protein shakes are actually like. A LOT of people would just say, "Don't drink it." The problem is that they don't get give valid arguments for why protein shakes are bad for you. Share these benefits with your friends and tell them how good protein shakes are for you. If you really want to take your lifting to a new level, drink a protein shake...or two...or several!

Cheers!

Curb the Candy Craze!

So, here we are on Halloween and the candy is flowing by the tonnage! I wanted to write a blog post to encourage you guys to stay on your diet and to not just throw it out the window. It is worth it to keep the goal of weight loss and to not eat candy, than to eat candy and have a weight gain. We will talk about how to curb the candy craze and maybe give you guys some alternatives to help you guys get through today. Let's get started with how to curb the candy craze!

1. Alternatives to Candy
We have many alternatives to candy if you can't curb your candy craze. The first alternative is to eat a popsicle. Popsicles have some sugar, but not too much. You don't need to feel guilty for eating a popsicle. There are natural juice popsicles as well. The second is to eat a cookie. They have sugar, but they won't break you. The last alternative is juice. You can drink juice and most juices have all natural sugar.

2. Drink Water
Drink water and help curb the candy craze. If you drink water, then you can help to keep from being hungry. Your body will want to eat and fill up on junk food, but please don't give in to the temptation of wanting to eat candy.

3. Sugarfree Gum
There are lots of good gum choices that you can eat and not feel guilty. By eating gum, you can trick your body into thinking that you are eating something sweet, but you are not. There are little to no sugar in sugarfree gum. Grab a stick of gum and stick it to the candy craze!

4. Work Out
By working out, you forget that you want to eat candy. Get out of the house and go for a run or go to the gym for a good long while to really get tired out. You will burn a ton of calories and you will not be craving the candy anymore. Put on your gym shoes and GO!

5. Eat Good
Eat a good and hearty meal. Instead of eating junk food and consuming empty calories, eat a good and hearty meal. Eat some chicken, vegetables, and drink some milk. So many people are going to want to eat junk just because everyone else is. You do not have to give in. Resist and do something good for yourself!

6. Eat Protein
Eat a good amount of protein for dinner and in your snacking. Instead of consuming terrible calories and carbs, eat some protein that will fill you up and keep you full for quite a while. Protein is power packed and is sure to keep you from the candy craze.

7. Go To Bed Early
This tip is probably the biggest one of them all. Go to bed early and get some good sleep. By going to bed early, you lower the risk of gaining weight because you will not be eating while you sleep. You will be sleeping and you will feel good the next day because you will get some great rest and sleep!

Please read these tips again and share these tips with your family and friends! Just because it is Halloween doesn't mean that you have to splurge and throw your diet and weight loss out the window. Your co-workers and friends will want to share their candy with you. Just politely say, "no thank you" and continue in your weight loss. I hope that you guys have a great and safe Halloween!

 Cheers!

Let Me Persuade You...8 Reasons for Weight Loss!

Over the years we pretty much eat whatever we want, do whatever we want, and say that we want to lose weight, but there are some people that aren't convinced that they need to lose weight. There are those that are still skeptical, and they are still saying, "I am only a few pounds overweight, I don't need to diet or lose weight!" I am here to tell you that unless you lose that extra weight, you may be at even greater risk of dying sooner than you would later. I am convinced myself that unless I do something big soon, I will be in big trouble. I only have a few pounds to lose, but they weigh heavy on me and my lifestyle. Please, take a look at these great points that I have to make and be convinced that weight loss is for you! The first step to changing is recognizing and admitting that you have a problem!

1. Hard to Bend Over
Sometimes I make the joke that its hard to bend over for me because I have too much in the middle and I know it! It's really not a joke, its a big problem. If you are someone that has too much fat on your bottom or stomach, then you can relate to it being hard to bend over. This inconvenience should be enough to go into weight loss full bore. In case you're not convinced, I have more!

2. Unbutton Top Button
For most of us, we only have a top button if you're someone that wears jeans . I sometimes find it hard to button the button because I have a paunch of fat hanging over. You know what that feels like! It doesn't feel good! You sit at your parties, get-togethers, and other events and you pull your pants up the whole time because you button the top button. This is an inconvenience I've dealt with before in the past.

3. When You Play Sports, Your Fat Moves!
This might be the biggest reason that you don't work out and participate in weight loss. My question to you is, "Unless you work out, how are you going to lose weight?" You HAVE to work out, it is a must! It may be uncomfortable to work out with fat jiggling in various places, but that doesn't mean that you give up or worse yet, you don't even participate in weight loss.

4. Disease
You may be thinking, "Disease only happens to those, 'out of control' type people!" This is simply not true! I'll tell you why. It's not true because we are susceptible to heart diseases, high blood pressure, and hypertension which is the silent killer. The reason I'm adding this point is because I don't want the overweight and obese people that are reading this to go on with life as if nothing is going to happen. Nothing may have happened so far, but the odds of you getting sick and dying are considerably higher than those that are not overweight or obese.

5. Finding a Mate
We look at ourselves in the mirror and we think, "If only I had a six pack, I could get a...(insert girl or guy here)!" We don't think that we can get a guy or a girl if we are fat and overweight. What is the solution for this? Yep, you get off of the couch and you go and get that weight loss and six pack body that you have been wanting. You deserve to be skinny and happy at the same time, but you have to put the work in!

6. At Risk for Cancer!
The main reason for weight gain is sugar and consuming sugar at alarming rates. Guess what the main fuel for cancer is? Yep, you guessed it, SUGAR! This reason in and of itself should be enough to convince you that you need to lose weight. Cancer cells have been shown to feed on sugar and our fat is made of primarily sugars that are extra. We eat candy and drink soda and we give cancer cells fodder for destroying us! I urge you to lose weight!

7. Less Depression
If you were to lose weight, then you would feel better both about yourself and you would not be depressed anymore. Most of the time the reason we get depressed is because we are not at the place that we want to be body-wise. Stop being so depressed, get up, and join the weight loss community. Get a head start on feeling better about yourself!

8. Save Your Life!
This is the biggest point that I want to make today. COME IN CLOSE, I WANT YOU TO HEAR THIS. If you lose weight and better yourself, it can SAVE YOUR LIFE! The majority of the people in the world think, "I don't need to. I would rather be happier eating my food than be miserable and live longer!" Why would you think this? Weight loss people have good things to eat too. Losing weight can potentially add 20 years onto your lives!

I would like to ask you guys to please share these points for weight loss with your family and friends. It is crucial that everyone knows about these. We need to have a weight loss revolution and get obese and overweight people on board! Save a life, share this post with someone you care about! Take into consideration these points yourself if you are skeptical about weight loss. I hope that I have convinced you that you need to participate in weight loss, even if you only have a few pounds to lose.

Cheers!

10 Habits to Stop Doing While Dieting

In today's world, its hard to keep the weight off. What, with the fried foods, sweets, and comfort foods. We all have habits that are detrimental to our weight loss and diets. I'm always amazed at how when we stop making the mistakes of bad habits, we keep going on our weight loss with no problems. If you're not sure if you make bad habits in your weight loss or diet, check these ten out and see if you are. I would encourage you to read this post and have these ten help you guys in your weight loss and dieting!

1. Going to Bed Late
Stop going to bed late. When we go to bed late, we find our metabolism slowing down because there is no energy to feed the furnace. When you go to bed early, your body responds better to rest and allows you to be more efficient in your weight loss.

2. Eating after 8
Eating after 8:00 at night is something that we must change in order for our bodies to be able to lose weight. When we eat late night snacks, our body shuts down and our body stops burning fats and foods at night. The fat, in turn, stores straight to our fat stores.

3. Eating Sweets
When it comes to eating sweets, our body immediately wants to store the sugar as fat. The sugar is harder to burn, and our bodies find it sufficient to store it as fat. Cookies, pie, candy, and soda is all considered sweets and are horrible for weight loss and our diets.

4. Eating Constantly
This habit may be one of the most obvious of them all. We often don't think of ourselves as eating all the time, but those of us that have huge fat stores are normally eating all of the time. We have to stop eating all the time, and we have to find something else to fill our time that we normally use making food and eating.

5. Being Lazy
This habit is something that we don't consider. We all have busy lives that make it easy to be busy. What I mean by being lazy is the fact that when we are not working, we are sitting down on the couch for long amounts of time. If we go for a run in the middle of an afternoon instead of sitting on the couch and eating, then we save ourselves the calories, and we can gain more positive energy. We need to quit being so lazy and get up and go.

6. Consuming Empty Foods
Consuming empty foods can be explained as eating foods that don't fill you up. Fast foods are empty foods that you can eat a ton of, but they don't fill you up. Junk foods are empty foods as well. If you eat fruits or vegetables, then you will be filled up, and you can stop eating sooner than later. Stop consuming empty foods.

7. Consuming Fatty Foods
We need to end the habit of consuming fatty foods. Fatty foods contributes to weight gain and we will soon find ourselves in trouble when it comes to weight loss. Consuming bad foods like this will make your diet and weight loss die.

8. Procrastinating
Procrastination is another really bad habit that we do that contributes to our weight gain. Our dieting goes horribly and we can't figure it out. When it comes to working out to burn the fat off, we often procrastinate. We can't keep waiting for our weight loss to happen when we procrastinate and wait for the result. We have to stop procrastinating, and we have to go out and get that weight loss!

9. Waiting Until Lunch to Eat
If you're like I was, you wait until lunch to begin eating. We sometimes wait until lunch to eat our first snack or meal. To get your metabolism going, we need to stop waiting until lunch to eat, and we need to eat breakfast to begin the explosive weight burning furnace with something to eat in the morning.

10. Following the Fads
How many of you guys follow the fads and the latest diet just hoping that it gives you the drive and the push to lose that weight that you guys so passionately want to lose? Many of us follow the fads and the latest technology when it comes to diets and weight loss and we spend so much money all to no avail. Stop following the fads and trust the, "burn more calories than you consume" concept that has worked for many decades.

If you are like me, you were convicted by these bad habits and are convinced that you need to stop making these mistakes. Really, they do you no good when it comes to weight loss, and they really begin to kill your weight loss and diet. I strongly urge you to take the steps to stop making these mistakes and to start instilling good habits in your weight loss and diets. Please share this blog post and tell your friends about it!

New Year's Resolutions, Finish STRONG!

Have you ever made a New Year's resolution only to break it later and feel bad about it? You are not alone! We all have done this at one point in our lives. The point that we need to remember is the fact that we have over two months to get a huge chunk of those resolutions accomplished. We can do it, you and I. We just need to push a little harder. We might not be able to fully accomplish these resolutions, but we can and will be able to accomplish something in the mean time. How can we accomplish and achieve these resolutions? Let's get started!

1. Rewind
The first step that we need to take in order to recover our New Year's resolutions is to rewind back to the time when we first made the resolution. We need to go to that time when we first thought to make the resolution. Why were you going to make it? What made you think to make it? And, what were your goals when you were going to make the resolution? Were you drinking beer by the tonnage during a New Year's party? If so, you may want to think about how applicable your resolution was.

2. Rethink
The second step has already been touched on. Rethink your resolution and what it is that you resolved to do. If you were looking at a famous weight loss guru such as Shaun T and thought, "I'm going to resolve to look like that," then you may want to rethink your choice of resolution. Resolve to lose ten pounds before the year is out. You may be able to attain that resolution quicker and within a short amount of time.

3. Resolve
Resolve to do what you want to resolve to do. If you don't accomplish your resolution, then you may feel like you're a failure. You're not going to want to make a resolution next year if you don't accomplish it. Attaining your resolution is like keeping your promise to yourself. If you don't it's like you're lying to yourself. No one likes to be lied to. If you make a smaller resolution, then you can actually accomplish it. Go!

"If you make a smaller resolution, then you can actually accomplish it. Go!" [Click to tweet!]

Tips for Weight Loss during the Holidays!

1. Less Sugar
Eating less sugar will ensure that you will lose more weight quicker than you normally would. You don't have to cut out sugar altogether, but just cut it back.

2. Morning Jog
Instead of going to the office or your job and sitting there with a slow metabolism, go for a jog and get your metabolism going early to help your weight loss. You will find as well that you will have greater energy in your day, even when we fall back an hour.

3. Watch What You Eat
Most of the time we don't pay attention to what we are eating. If we watch what we are eating and consciously eat less and better foods, then we can lose weight during the holidays.

4. New Exercises!
Take up a new exercise or exercise set, then you can have a greater impact on your weight loss because you keep your mind interested in what you are doing. Take up golfing and walk the whole course, or take up playing a new sport.

5. Alternatives to Old Habits
Find new alternatives to your old habits. If you know that there is going to be candy in your office, then take a sweet granola bar with you to have an alternative. If you know that your mom is going to bring a sweet pie to thanksgiving dinner, then make something that is better for you.

Fast Food...Worst Food for Your Weight Loss!

Have you ever suspected that there was something weird about fast food? I mean, you have all of these food items, they don't cost all that much to buy, and you seem to feel really bad after eating it. Why then do we keep eating it? Its easier to get a couple of cheap burgers and go home after a long day at the office, its cheap, its quicker than most fast food restaurants, you don't have to talk to anyone, they smile at you, and you think it's all good. We are going to talk about why fast food is the worst food for your weight loss. It is crucial that we, "know our enemy" before we can, "beat our enemy!" Let's get started and really dig in!

1. Fat Content
Let's begin with talking about the fat content that we deal with in fast food. Most fast food is deep fat fried, like the french fries and chicken nuggets, and the mozzarella sticks that we enjoy. There is fast seeping out of and running off of the food that we consume on a regular basis. My mom used to joke that we would go and get our share of grease for the day. Fat is killing more people than the ebola crisis that we are dealing with in the world. People are diagnosed with diseases related to being overweight and for having too much fat on our bodies. Before we take a shock at finding that the ebola virus is out there, let's first remember that we are dying from eating fat every single day!

2. Salt Content
Salt content is not nearly as bad as the fat content, but it certainly contributes to the way our bodies feel after eating it. The salt content is through the roof because there are less preservatives in fast food and they need the food to stay fresh for a long time. The shelf time needs to be a lot because they never stop making fast food by the ton. They know that they will eventually sell the one's that they made two hours ago, and then they will move on. Quite often when I go to fast food restaurants my food is cold when I get it and I realize that I'm eating exactly what I paid for, a dollar sandwich and it's worth no more than about twenty five or fifty cents. The fries at most fast food restaurants aren't even edible because there is so much salt.

3. No Protein
My brother did a test in his chemistry class and they were studying proteins and how proteins react to certain chemicals. They decided to test a famous meal from a certain fast food restaurant and the sandwich contained almost zero physical evidence that it even contained protein at all. The funny part was that the packaging that the sandwich came in said that it contained ten grams of protein per sandwich. There were no signs of protein anywhere! If your somebody that works out and then goes out to get a chicken sandwich somewhere, be aware that what you're eating isn't chicken!

4. Cheap Food
If you're like me, then you hate spending money at fast food restaurants. I mean, who wants to spend five or six bucks for a sandwich that is bad for you anyways? I don't! The problem is, is that the cheaper you go in price, the worse off the food is for you. Fast food restaurants make and prepare their food for pennies on the dollar. I used to think, "Oh, its only a dollar, I'm going to get three!" Until I was sitting there one day and my friend that worked for a fast food restaurant said, "You realize that you get what you pay for, right?" I thought to myself, "So that's why the cheaper food tastes worse and is worse for you!" It was all beginning to make sense in my mind.

5. Not Fresh
The last point I have to make today is that the food isn't fresh. I was in a local fast food restaurant a few days ago and the flies were the worst that they have ever been in there. Flies were running rampant all over everything. It was one of the most unsanitary situations that I've ever been in. I mean, a person can only take so much. The food wasn't fresh, it was cold, and it tasted terrible. I was so disgusted that I have not been back into that fast food restaurant since then. With so many flies flying around, you have to know that your fries are now flies, and that your sandwich is now a flywich. I have heard of stories of people finding bugs in their food from fast food restaurants. It is no wonder!

I was very happy to write this blog post as I feel passionate about telling people about the hidden dangers of fast food restaurants. I would suggest taking your money to the store, getting some fruits and vegetables, having a nice glass of wine if you would like and sit down and have a sandwich. Avoid the cheap and bad food that is coming from these fast food restaurants. There are sit down restaurants that have great tasting food that is good for you. You just have to look around and find them! Remember, fast food does not contribute to weight loss, but weight gain!

Alternative to Dieting?

You have often heard the quote, "breakfast is the most important meal of the day." I'm here to tell you that, that statement isn't necessarily true. Today we are going to talk about intermittent fasting. Lots of people only have a few hours to eat due to crazy work schedules and just life in general. Its better to eat for a few hours and then to stop eating. This is an alternative to dieting. This is a great option for those people that hate dieting. Let's get started!

1. What is Intermittent Fasting?
Intermittent fasting is, eating for a give set of hours and then now eating for a long amount of time. Basically, I can eat at 8:00 in the morning, and then I have 6-8 hours to eat the rest of my daily intake of calories. After that, I don't eat until the next day at 8:00am. There is a huge span in there when the body burns excess fat and gets your body for the next day of eating. Your metabolism will run so fast that your fat will not stay in your stomach.

2. What are the benefits of intermittent fasting?
The benefits to this kind of fasting is the sheer fact that you're not eating and then going to sleep. When you eat and then go to sleep you make it easy for your body to store extra fat and weight. Fasting like this allows your body to burn more calories over the fasting time, especially when you work out at night. For those with diabetes its suggested that you not fast like this.

3. Eat like a King, Prince, and a Pauper!
For your first of your six meals eat like a king. For the next meals eat like a prince, and for your last, eat like a pauper. In essence, you eat the most food earlier on in the day. You eat like a king and a prince first because eating like a pauper near night time allows you to hit your fast earlier rather than later. You eat smaller amounts of food as the day wears on and your body burns it quicker because you are eating 6 smaller meals in a day.

Get going guys! This is not a diet. Its just a lifestyle change that allows you to eat well and lose weight at the same time. Intermittent fasting is one of the great tips for weight loss that most people don't think about. Share it with your family and friends!

Thor Workout...Strength of an Asgard Warrior!

Come on, we have seen the workout that Batman threw down, but now there is a Thor workout?!? Yep! Thor's workout is a shoulder and upper body heavy workout that is bound and determined to leave your core burning like lightning, and your shoulders like smoldering fire. Chris Hemsworth a really ripped and lean body, but it wasn't always like that. He began to throw down this workout and lost some fat to really cut out his muscle. Now, he is known as an iconic Marval legend known as Thor. Thor is admired for his cannonball shoulders, tight eight pack core, and quad god legs that leave nothing to be desired. I personally did this workout three times in a matter of four days and I noticed a considerably large amount of muscle growth and lots of muscle definition. Join me in working out like Thor!

PREPARATION
Please, please, please stretch well because this workout is no light workout. This workout CAN and WILL hurt you if you don't stretch!

1. 20 Lunges
The 20 lunges will leave your legs burning and your heart rate up after the first set. These lunges work your hamstrings, quads, and all-around legs.

2. 5 Shoulder Presses
The shoulder presses will get your upper body going as they work your deltoids and upper shoulders.

3. 10 One Legged Squats
The one legged squats work on defining your calf muscles and your lower quads. Don't underestimate them!

4. 20 Shoulder Touches
These shoulder touches help your shoulders grow, as well as your chest and your core due to having to balance.

5. 12 Pushups
The reason that there are not a lot of pushups is because there are a lot of shoulder exercises. You can alternate your leg distance to work different parts of your muscles.

6. 20 Plank Jump-Ins
These jump-ins will raise your heart rate and will torch your core as you work on them.

7. 20 Sit-Ups
20 sit-ups will help work on those upper abs. You will enjoy this as a down exercise to rest your shoulders.

8. 20 Sitting Twists
These twists are called Russian twists and are not to be taken lightly either. They are easy enough, but try them on the third set and you will be dying afterward.

9. 20 Turkish Get-Ups
These get-ups are the clincher for absolute wear-down. They are not fun by any stretch of the imagination, but they work your core muscles to the max!

Beginner Level: 3 Sets
Moderate Level: 5 Sets
Advanced Level: 7 Sets

5 Tips to Beat Obesity

You may have heard that it was said, "You are what you eat." This isn't always true, but there is something to be said for eating too much or eating a bunch of food that's bad for you. You won't become a fatty, greasy piece of pizza if you eat it, but you may become obese or overweight if you eat too much pizza, too often. You won't become a carrot if you eat it either! You can become someone that obese if you eat obese inducing foods. Not to worry, we are going to give you 5 tips to jumpstart you on your beating obesity.

1. Listen
A lot of us, when we are looking for something to eat have a little voice in our head warning us not to eat what we are looking at. This little voice seems to disappear after we begin eating, and then it shows up near the end of our meal, right before dessert. Listen to that voice the first time if you know that the food or drink is going to be bad for you. If you decide to eat that bad food, eat a little bit of it and be done. If you go to a restaurant, eat half of your meal and then put the other half in the box.

2. Work-out
Working out is a long lost thing of the past. I mean, you have a few guys that work out hard, they look good, but we need more of those people. If you need something to help you help you to get started, start with trying to do 20 pushups. If that is easy for you consider doing the Batman workout. The main thing is to get off the couch and get going. You can't lose fat when you do nothing to burn the fat. We have tons of workouts to help you. Get up!

3. Invest
Invest in good food for your diet. So many people buy fatty, junky, and poor quality food that the body absolutely despises. Your taste buds may think that it tastes good, but your body is screaming and yelling that it is poison and detrimental to you. Invest in some fresh produce, good whole grains, nuts, and other good foods. Stop paying very little for food that just isn't worth giving a second thought to and invest some money in good foods.

4. Slower is Better
Losing weight slower is better than losing it fast because you never really get used to being lighter than you were. When you lose weight fast your body doesn't get the message until months after you have lost the weight. By then you have started to go back to eating your junk food. Eat your good foods, work out, and lose weight as it comes. Losing your weight slower is way better than losing it fast. Fat doesn't burn that quick anyways!

5. Run
This tip may be something that not everyone can do. If you can't run then jog or walk. Get out into that summer heat and burn some fat off. Take plenty of water as you can become dehydrated while running, jogging, or walking. Don't just sit at home and watch this beautiful season go by without taking full advantage of it. Run like Usain Bolt does when he runs his record pace. Uh...maybe we can't run that fast, but we can still run and workout to get to a place where we are fit and built.

I'm glad you guys have joined us in our weight loss journeys. These tips have helped me immensely and I urge you to please use these tips and share them with family and friends. Implement these tips to get the body that you want and beat obesity with a vengeance. We all dream and wish that we could have a body like Batman, Thor, or maybe even Captain America, but keep in mind that it takes dedication and a will to want to change your body. Let's do it!

Why do we Eat When we Are Not Hungry?

I was here at home and I was thinking about weight loss and dieting. Last night we didn't have a whole lot of money to go and get some food. The fridge was empty, the cupboards were empty, and we were low on food in the house. I must have checked those places a million times for food. I had downed three bottles of water, but my body felt hungry no matter what I ate. Have you ever wondered why we eat even when we are not hungry? We are going to get into why we eat when we are not hungry.

1. Not Enough Water!
We do not drink enough water in our lives and we are a dehydrated people in the world. We don't drink enough water and our bodies long for water. Your hunger pangs could be your body asking for water. All too often, we pick up a soda or an energy drink and we drink those choices instead of drinking water. Our bodies are made of 70% water, and we have to replenish that quicker than we have to replenish our food.

2. We Are Bored!
All too often, we eat because we are bored or we have nothing to do. Pick up a new hobby, sport, or do something with your friends. We seem to think that we need to eat something because we have nothing to do. If you pick up an athletic hobby, you can lose weight while enjoying a hobby, and you will not be thinking about food. If we give ourselves a chance to preoccupy our minds with something else, then our body will forget about eating and will focus on whatever else you are doing.

3. We Mistake Our Level of Hunger
What I mean by this is that we forget that we aren't hungry, but that we are actually full when we are eating. We don't let our food hit bottom before we begin eating more after our first serving of our meals. Slow down and really let your body feel if you are indeed hungry for more food. A lot of times we will be at a restaurant, and we eat too much food in the restaurant. Rather than getting a box and eating half the food and boxing up the other half, we eat it all. It takes 20 minutes for your body to feel your food hit bottom. Give it time!

4. We Don't See What we are Eating
We don't see what we are eating and what what we want to eat. All we are concerned with is eating what we want to eat, when we want to eat it, and we don't like it when we think about it. I would suggest getting a journal to write down what you are eating, it's calories, and I want you to see what it is that you are eating. Just by doing this, you will realize that you may have eaten a lot of food.

Put these tips into action into your life and don't be afraid to let your stomach go hungry. You may find that drinking a bottle of water instead of eating could be better for you than eating that food that you want. Slow down and realize what you are doing before you do it. Get out of the house and get going to do something else besides thinking about food all of the time!

What Will Weight Loss be Like in 10 Years?

Have you ever thought about this question or one that is similar to it? I think that very few of us have ever thought about it. We barely think about what our weight loss will look like today, tomorrow, or maybe even a few days from now. We are a very narrow minded people to only focus on what we will be doing in the next few minutes. I want to think hypothetically and think on the wild side of things. Let's go into our time traveling machine and imagine what weight loss will be like in 10 years!

I think that weight loss in 10 years will be just like everything else we're doing these days, but it will be faster and less likely to make you upset. I'm not saying it will be instantaneous, but I believe that it will be faster than what it is now. Right now, we rely on food and drink and exercise to help us lose weight. It just seems to take so long when it comes to weight loss. I mean, in today's day and age, it takes a week to lose 2-4 pounds if you're lucky.

In ten years we are going to be into nanotechnology even more than we are now. I believe that we will be making patches that we can buy to lose the weight in a quick and painless fashion. Why patches? I believe that it will be patches because I believe that it will take very little medicine on a patch that can enter your blood stream through your skin to lose weight. I think that the technology that we will have in ten years will surpass us and pass us by with a roaring thunder. Check out the short video below. Think about the patches being weight loss and how crazy that would be!

If we can help to stop smoking with patches, we can surely help people lose weight. In addition to the patches, I believe that there will be another method of weight loss, such as laser surgery. I can see the technology of the laser being so advanced that you can shrink fat cells with a laser to lose weight, maybe even permanently. It would be so crazy if we could have a surgery and have the cells shrunken by a laser to the point where they almost didn't come back.

I also think that there could be a possibility of there being a food or drink that we could eat and burn fat like never before. There are super foods that help us burn the fat, but wouldn't it be wild if there was a pro-biotic that burned fat while it was in your stomach? The pro-biotic would be a bit of a good disease that would thrive in the body. If technology advances even more than it is now, we could be looking at methods for weight loss that could be quite the ground breaking event.

We have looked at what weight loss could look like in 10 years. As we come back to earth in the real time of our generation, be encouraged that weight loss could be on its way to some great and glorious things. When it becomes something that is as easy as putting a patch on, or getting a laser surgery, or even eating a pro-biotic, it will be something to behold because it will not take us as long to lose weight. We will be a fitter people and maybe obesity will be no more. Maybe it will be a thing of the past!

The Ultimate Cheat Sheet on Fat

I was sitting here evaluating the kinds of blog posts that I've written over the years and I have written one on fat, but never got too in depth in it. Today we are going to get into the facts about fat and make a cheat sheet on fat. We will get into how it is formed and how to get rid of it. Have you ever thought, "Man, I wish I had the facts and tools to combat fat, body fat, or just fat in general"? Let's get into this ultimate cheat sheet and get down to the flab of the matter.

1. What is Fat?
Simply defined, fat is the cells that are stored in permanent storages that are being saved as energy for a time when you could be starving. You have a certain amount of fat cells in your body. When we are losing weight, the cells simply shrink to very small sizes.

2. Where does Fat Come From?
Fat comes from sugar that we eat and consume in large amounts in our day from soda, to candy, to other foods that have sugar. We do gain some weight from eating fatty foods like pork, added spreads (mayo, or dressing), or processed foods that are injected with tons of fat to make the food taste better.

3. How Do We Lose Fat?
The million dollar question then is, "How do we lose fat?" If we gain it from all these different sugars that we're eating, it must be hard to lose that fat. It is extremely hard to lose fat when we eat and drink as much sugar as we do as Americans. We drink our 34 oz. soda at lunch at a fast food restaurant and it really does us no good in our weight loss. Cutting just soda or sugary drinks helps you lose a large amount of fat. Eating leaner foods also helps lose that fat.

4. Why Do We Gain Fat So Easily?
A lot of us gain fat so easily, almost as easily as breathing in air. Why is it that we gain fat so easily? We gain fat so easily because we don't make conscious attempts to avoid sugar and fat in our days. We don't drink water when we go to restaurants, we eat candy wherever we can, and then we wonder why we gain fat so easily. These aspects scare scientists and statisticians because we are gaining fat and weight as fast as any other time in history.

5. Fat Burners!
Are there foods that I can eat or is there something I can do to burn large amounts of fat? Oh yes, there are good amounts of fat burners! Iced tea is good for burning fat, as well as, spicy foods, citric foods or drinks, and grains. Exercises that burn fat are cardio, aerobic, body weight, High Intensity Interval Training, and high running sports such as basketball, football, or soccer.

6. Why do we Need to Lose Fat?
This question is often asked by people that don't seem to care about their health or about losing weight. The main reasons that we need to lose fat is that we put ourselves more at risk for heart attacks, high blood pressure, diabetes, and lots of other diseases if you don't lose fat and weight. Your body runs more efficiently when you don't have energy flowing to the fatty spots to keep them sustained.

7. Are Men or Women More Likely to Gain Fat?
A good number of people don't really know if men or women are more likely to gain fat. The truth is that women are more likely to gain fat. The reasons are mainly biological because when women have children their bodies pile on the pounds and those pounds stay on even after pregnancy. Women also have hormones surging through their bodies that cause them to be more vulnerable to gaining fat.

I do hope that you have enjoyed this ultimate cheat sheet on fat. Use this knowledge to help you lose fat and weight in turn. Don't let another day pass when you don't start your diet and weight loss. It is crucial that you lower your fat percentages in your body. Do it for your family, a special someone, and even most importantly...yourself.

Why Should I Lose Weight?

Your sitting there among your friends and several of them appear to be either hungry from dieting and trying to lose weight, or they are exhausted from working out trying to lose weight. I'm going to play devil's advocate today and ask, "Why?" "Why should I lose weight?" I mean, if it's so incredibly hard to diet and lose weight, why should you even do it? If you have never asked yourself this question, now is the time to do do it. Why should you lose weight if you have never done or thought about it before? Let's get into why you should lose weight!

1. You Will Feel Better
You will feel considerably and exceedingly better if you were to lose weight and be at a healthy weight. Millions of overweight people suffer from broken down feet, shin splints, bouncing fat, overhanging fat rolls, high blood pressure, and lots of other things. Hundreds of thousands of people die each year from obese related diseases and they just don't feel good. They appear to look like they are living life to the fullest, eating what they want, and doing no exercising, but they don't feel good.

2. People Will Notice You More
For lots of us, we want to recognized more and we want to be more popular, but we find that being overweight causes people to misjudge us. The people that get bullied are the overweight people. The people that are outcast or ignored are the overweight, obese people. If you were to take up the Batman Workout that we talked about in the last post, and you executed it 3-4 days a week, you would lose weight and feel better about yourself. This, in turn, helps others to feel better about you as well!

3. You Accomplish Your New Year's Resolution!
Let's be bluntly honest with ourselves, the large majority of people make a New Years resolution to lose weight or get a ripped body. If you are one of the hundreds of thousands and millions of people that make this New Year's resolution, then you can rest assured that this is a great reason in and of itself for you to lose weight. Check out our post from last year on making New Year's resolutions and accomplishing them!

4. Smaller Clothes
If you lose weight, you will be able to wear smaller clothes! I know that this is a simple concept that we take for granted, but it will literally allow you to wear 2-4 sizes smaller clothes-wise. You may find that smaller clothes instead of those ugly sweats and sweatshirts will be better looking, confidence raising, clothes that are easy to wear. Some of you may have seen the TLC show What Not To Wear. These people get a makeover on their clothes and facial features. While it isn't losing weight for most of them, they still look as though they have a new life after changing just their clothes! I'm urging you to lose the weight, and get better clothes!

5. More Energy
If you were to lose weight you would have more energy for more activities in your day. You would not believe the amount of energy that you would have if you would lose weight and drink enough water. The energy would be gushing out of you in large amounts. "I don't want any more energy," said no one ever! You will be able to have more energy without having to drink an energy drink, it will be all natural and you will feel better. It may take a bit getting used to!

For all of these very logical and profitable reasons, you should lose weight! It will be highly profitable and will allow you a new lease on life that will free you to begin a new life. People will look at you differently after your weight loss. Accomplishing a New Year's resolution is another excellent reason that stands alone. If you aren't convinced that weight loss is right for you, no one is going to force you to lose weight. Do it if you want to, but you are missing out on a crazy good life of not carrying around extra weight!

A lot of us have seen the Batman series and think of him as a hero that has been under rated because he doesn't have a super power. Batman has a great physical body that we all wish we had. Don't get me wrong, there is fat being burned here. There is fat burned with any and every workout, but some have more fat burned than others.

3. Variety of Exercises
This workout tends to be on the more interesting side of things because of how many exercises there are. There are 9 exercises altogether to help work your major muscle groups beyond what you thought you would get from a workout. The Batman workout doesn't just focus on crunches and push-ups. 10 Super Metabolism Boosters

Over the past week or so, we have been talking about fat blasters and misconceptions about weight loss. Today I thought that we would give you 10 super metabolism boosters that are sure-fire foods that will boost your metabolism sky high. Not only will you boost it, but you will feel the boost when you eat. What I mean is that you will not feel like your stomach is full for long. You will feel like you need something else to eat in only a little while. This is your metabolism working overtime to burn as much food, fat, and excess sugars that are sitting in and on your belly. Let us begin!

1. Tea
Tea is a great antioxidant that helps to move sugar cells from your body and into the furnace to be burned as energy. I normally drink a dark tea because they take longer to digest and help to burn more calories in the long run.

2. Chili Pepper
Chili peppers are jam packed full of a compound called capsaicin that helps curb your appetite and has benefits for your weight loss. Habaneros, chili, cayenne, jalapenos, and eve Tabasco sauce are a few peppers and pepper products that you can incorporate into your diet.

3. Ice Cold Water
Drinking ice cold water lowers the temperature of your body and forces your body to burn calories to warm itself back up after being dropped lower than normal. Water in general boosts your metabolism, but ice cold water makes your body work even harder to burn that fat.

4. Oatmeal
Oatmeal packs a punch in the way of fiber and is a super-food when it comes to giving you lots of energy. That is why so many people eat oatmeal for their breakfast. It then requires more calories and energy to burn off and try to digest the fiber in oatmeal. Your stomach will be shoved into metabolism overdrive with this one!

5. Lemonade
Really, any sort of citrus drink or adding lemon juice to a meal can and definitely will boost your metabolism. Citrus is high in vitamin C and the acid in its contents helps to kick up the stomach acids to create a more combustible metabolism and stomach that shreds that food apart.

6. Fish
Leaner fish out there are great sources of metabolism boosting omega 3 acids that are essential in muscle building proteins. Some examples are, salmon and tuna. Eat these fish with a sprinkle of lemon juice over the top, and grab a glass of ice cold water for metabolism boost.

7. Papaya
Papayas contain an enzyme called papain which improves digestion and absorption in the stomach and into the body. This exotic fruit could be just the boost that you needed in your metabolism boosting diet to push you into fat burning central.

8. Dark Chocolate
Dark chocolate, believe it or not, can boost your metabolism! Dark chocolate contains anti-inflammatory polyphenols that help your belly to destroy that fat without the unwanted and refined sugars of regular candy bars and chocolate. Add a few nibbles of dark chocolate to your diet and boost that metabolism!

9. Apples
Snacking on apples is a very practical way to boost your metabolism because they are low in calories, but they require more calories to burn them off due to the amount of fiber in them. They are chocked full of good vitamins and minerals to balance out your diet and give you more benefits than just raising your metabolism.

10. Celery
Eating celery is like munching on a fiber rich food that has virtually no calories! In fact, in Weight Watchers, they are completely free to eat. Celery is a natural diuretic and helps to get rid of excess water that could be weighing you down. The energy you would need to burn celery outweighs the amount of calories that the celery even contains.

Take these 10 super metabolism boosters and go boost your metabolism sky high. I mean, who wants to just sit on the couch and hope that they will lose weight? I have given you the tools to boost that metabolism. Use these 10 boosters and workout for maximum metabolism boost. You will definitely feel the burn in your stomach as is asks for more food and water in an even short amount of time than you would have expected!

3 Myth-Conceptions About Weight Loss

We all know that we aren't always the best at assessing the situation and experiences that we have. Weight loss is a subject that a lot of people have misconceptions about. In this blog post we are going to look at myth-conceptions (myths that are misunderstandings) that we actually believe as facts about weight loss. We think that we are people that fully understand weight loss and our bodies, but you might be surprised to figure out these myth-conceptions that we often have.

Myth #1: "Snacking is a bad thing"
I often hear people talking about weight loss and snacking as if they go together like water and oil. We often mis-conceptualize our minds and trick them into thinking that weight loss and snacking are bad. We think that eating more will aid in weight gain, not weight loss.

Fact #1: "Snacking aids weight loss"
Snacking is actually an aid in weight loss because we keep our metabolism going and in turn, we lose more weight. This doesn't mean that snacking on pizza, chips, and soda is a good thing. Snacking on wholesome foods such as, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and drinking water are all good snacks that you can eat.

Myth #2: "Weight loss, only for a limited time"
The next myth-conception I want to talk about is the myth that weight loss is only for a couple of weeks or months. We think that weight loss is only for a few days and then we can go back to how we are eating. People that think this normally go back to their atrocious eating habits, and they gain their weight that they just lost, back.

Fact #2: "Weight loss, a way of life"
The analogy I want to use here is the one that we have heard a million times, "garbage in, garbage out." When we eat garbage and take it in (fatty, bad foods), we will feel terrible and get garbage out (fat on our butts, abs, and thighs). When you put good in (good foods during a diet and weight loss), you get good out (weight loss and loss of your fat). Weight loss becomes a way of life after you lose the amount of weight that you need to, for the sheer fact of maintenance of the weight that you have lost.

Myth #3: "Fast food...a thing of the past"
We often think that just because we are doing a diet, working out, and losing weight that we can no longer eat fast food. We think that our juicy Big Mac will never touch our lips again, that we will never eat gold crunchy fries, that we will never eat doughy pizza ever again. We have a misconception that our society has tricked us into thinking. These misconceptions are simply not true!

Fact #3: "Everything in moderation"
My mother's voice rings in my ears when I begin to think that I will never eat fast food again, "everything in moderation, everything in moderation." The fact of the matter is that we ARE and CAN eat fast food again even though we are on a diet! We can get the Big Mac, fries, and pizza, but we have to eat it in moderation. What do I mean by moderation? I mean, instead of pigging out on a ginormous burger with all the fixings, shoving down a truckload of fries, and downing a 32 oz. drink; eating a moderately sized burger, a smaller portion of fries, and a medium soda. Eat smaller portions so that when you are done eating, you're not overly stuffed and feeling sick.

I have had these same myth-conceptions about weight loss and I know that a lot of you guys have too. Read through these, comment below, and share them for the maximum effect of getting the word out about these myth-conceptions. We have all had our times of seeing something for the wrong meaning or the wrong thing. We need to stop adopting and making new myth-conceptions and get out there and share the factual truth about these!
